Great for Longer Hair!

Beautiful, long-lasting result & super easy to use
I’ve only owned one other curling wand before, and it was one of those tapered ones, which I hated (made weird, ugly curls). This straight-barrel one is fantastic. Easy and intuitive to use, bright and clear digital display. Goes as low as 190°F, and I used it (briefly) on a synthetic wig at that temp with no damage. The curls this thing made in my hair lasted all day (and into the next), which was surprising, given my hair doesn’t usually cooperate that well. It creates an absolutely flawless curl pattern. The only extremely nit-picky thing I could note was what another reviewer mentioned: if you want to change the temperature to display in Fahrenheit, you have to reset it on every use by holding down both the plus and minus buttons. But, honestly, it takes less than two seconds to do, and you could really just leave it in °C, so it’s hardly a drawback. I paid about $17 at the time of purchase, which I felt was pretty reasonable and was one of the cheapest options I saw. Came with a glove I haven’t used, but looked of fine quality. Really impressed and happy with this purchase.

Good value, not very accurate heat settings.
You know what, the iron is very inexpensive and is a decent deal but I can’t get past the inaccuracy of the temp settings.Tested at the following temps:100c – 88.7c max140c – 138c max180c – 155c max230c – 221c maxSo you can see the iron is stable at 140c. The temp is a lot cooler in all other settings and this should be considered when using the iron.-Long cord, longer than normal, maybe a foot longer.-Smooth barrel, hair should just glide through it. Nice finish and effective.-Good value, inexpensive and if you can live with the heat issues this would be an affordable iron.Would I order again? Value is great but the heat isn’t accurate enough for me, personally. I might shop around for an iron which doesn’t risk damage to my hair.

This curling wand is so much better than my curling iron, and even my straightener.
I’m actually surprised at how well this 1 inch curling wand works.When it first showed up I thought it was going to be a little junky because the buttons themselves are not the nicest quality. They are loose and because they’re one piece, when you touch one, they all move around.To my surprise, the wand heated up super fast! I hardly had time to grab my silicone mat for on the counter and it was already ready to use.I like that you can choose the temp but it didn’t come with a guide to tell me what temp I should be using.I do straighten & curl my hair enough to know a temp to use but for any beginner, it would be a good idea to include some instructions.I find the stand works really well because of the cord being able to circle around and work with any angle. Maybe mine works so well because of the silicone mat I use, but I tested the stand without the mat and it stayed standing perfectly.I do find the stand has some sharp edges. I feel these could have been rounded off at least a little bit. This hasn’t caused an issue yet except if I go to grab the wand and accidentally grab at the area of the stand, then I notice how sharp the corners are.Overall, I can’t believe how well this curling wand works. I’m used to curling my hair with an old school curling iron which sometimes causes crimping, or I use a straightener for curls which sometimes doesn’t work no matter how hard I try. Some days the straightener method just doesn’t work, iykyk.This curling wand hasn’t let me down yet.Overall, you really can’t beat the $30 cad price, especially when it goes on sale for $26.The picture in my review shows one little curl that I did while it was still warming up and I held it on there for a matter of maybe 3 seconds. That’s really impressive to me.
