So before I do anything, I read the directions. The 1% Ketoconazole Anti-Dandruff Shampoo for Flaking & Itchy Scalp isn’t the sort of shampoo ya use every time you shower – just every three days or so maybe.I’ve just scrubbed up with it after working very hard on my hillside rock garden and lemme tellya when I came inside, I was so so grubby. Not flaky so much as grubby. Very sweaty, oily, and I had sunscreen smeared everywhere and was just tired as anything. This shampoo can get the grime right up and out of the scalp. It’s a pinkish red right out of the bottle and it’s a bit sudsy. It’s a little hard to rinse out, but then again it may be that I have used a bit much and that’s okay. I followed up with conditioner and I’m impressed with the clean I feel right now. I can see why it shouldn’t be used every shower. As grubby and greasy and grimy as I was, it stripped all that stuff right off my scalp. I can’t imagine it would be gentle enough to use on a daily basis but for an “I’m very grubby, let’s do this” shampoo? This is my go-to and I am impressed officially!There is nothing like the clean ya feel after coming in from a hard and grimy job. I’m curling up with a little soda and a snack before my afternoon driving duties and I am very happy as I write this review. Great product!

Effective antifungal & clarifying shampoo.
This is an anti-dandruff shampoo with 1% of the powerful antifungal ketoconazole. This is from the azole class of antifungals, which will be familiar if you have used clotrimazole for athlete’s foot.I appreciate that there is a strong, active ingredient. If you have dandruff, or some of the other scalp and skin conditions listed on the label, then this might provide some real treatment and relief.I picked this up as a clarifying shampoo. My scalp gets itchy after a sweaty Summer of swimming in the ocean and chlorinated swimming pools.The ingredients are not the most natural and include sulfates, fragrance and the preservative phenoxyethanol. Because I am using this as a clarifying shampoo the sulfates are a bonus. I usually use sulfate fre shampoos but sometimes it’s good to remove all the styling products and silicones with a soapy, sudsy lather.This shampoo did get my hair squeaky clean and removed any residue. It didn’t seem to dry out my hair. As with any clarifying shampoo, my hair feels bouncier and lighter. My scalp feels refreshed.I don’t love the fragrance, which smells medicinal as well as like perfume. A simpler fragrance like mint might have been preferable.

Great for a myriad of issues!
This product is fantastic and has been a life saver for the whole family. My boys suffer from psoriasis of the scalp and as I’m getting older my hair has been thinning out so making sure the scalp stays clean and free of buildup, ketoconazole is a gold key ingredient in helping both issues. A little goes a long way and it immediately cleanses the scalp of any flakes, buildup, dirt and grime without over drying the hair. As someone who’s worked with hair and skin the key is also to only apply to the scalp and not the whole head of hair. Overall, this is a high quality product, that is a lightweight shampoo, highly effective at treating the scalp, has your standard ketoconazole appearance in look and color (light orange pink color), no offensive fragrance whatsoever, leaves the hair feeling soft and clean and is a great value for the money. Highly recommend.

The Runsidan 1% Ketoconazole Anti-Dandruff Shampoo comes in a 230 ml. pump bottle. The shampoo is designed to relieve itching, control flaking, clarify the scalp, and help with Seborrheic Dermatitis. It’s Sulfate free and PH balanced. It’s gentle enough to use every day and wont strip the hair and make it too dry.This shampoo leaves my hair feeling so clean. It removes product build up and helps with my dandruff. It doesn’t dry my hair out and it also has a fresh clean scent. I have well water and it lathers nicely and rinses quickly, even with the well water. I have medium length hair and only needed a small amount, about 1 teaspoon of the shampoo. I always only lather my hair once, unless I really feel like it is greasy. This works for me.I think this shampoo is a great value and quality. It helps my hair look clean and helps my scalp not itch. I highly recommend this shampoo for anyone who has an itchy flaky scalp.
