    Has limitations, old technology – but it works, kind of

    I notice the current selling price for this is $6.99 ($9.98 less 30%) discount. At that price point you may want to weigh the pros and cons.I was looking for a small, portable UV LED light. This seemed to tick all the boxes. However, after receiving it – and double-checking the seller’s photos and description – there are 3 caveats to consider.First: this is not rechargeable. Meaning, it has to be plugged in with the cable (included) no matter where you go. This is not mentioned in the description details. On the one of the photos, in fine print down at the bottom, this is noted.Second, and taking into account the above: The charging cable that you will have to carry around with you is not USB-C. It’s mini USB, the trapezoid shaped cord. Those aren’t as easily found nowadays, should you misplace the one shipped in the box with this product. Of course there may be a junk drawer at home with a few of these old tiers floating around, but then again, if you’re traveling, there may not be.Third: This is super lightweight. Good for portability, not sure about durability.Does the LED light do the job? Yes, it does. At 120s I was somewhat satisfied. But for a bit more money there are other lights on the market that are USB-C and rechargeable. So it depends upon what the beauty budget can handle for expenditures.

    lightweight and portable

    This is exactly what I needed and it’s about the size of a computer mouse. The legs fold inward and this thing is super lightweight so it’s very portable and easy to pack away with all of your nail gear. I have large feet and I’m able to set all 5 toes under this lamp together with no issues. This arrived without a charge so I couldn’t use it right out of the box. It’s currently on sale and under $10 so I think it’s a great deal. The item looks exactly like the photos.

    TUTUYU 12W UV LED Nail Quick Dryer with 30s/60s 2 Timer, 6 Pink Light Beads. It seems weird to describe a UV light nail dryer as cute, but it is. At first I thought I was going to break the legs trying to unfold them from the unit, but luckily they stayed intact. I was thinking this was USB rechargeable, but it is not; which makes it less portable. I have small hands and feet. I can place 4 fingers (no thumb) or 5 toes under the lights. You may need extra time to cure gel polish than with larger units. To use this, you have to be near a USB power source. It does an okay job for the price.

    Does Not Dry Quickly

    This nail dryer is quite compact, and has little legs it is on, so quite convenient and you dont need to hold it. It is well made, very good quality, and seems durable. The downside is that it doesn’t dry very quickly, it did need extra time to completely dry.

    I recently ordered the TUTUYU 12W White UV LED Nail Dryer, and honestly, my daughter is so happy with it. She mainly does her own gel nails at home, and this little dryer has made the whole process so much easier and faster.First of all, it’s super cute and compact. I got the white one with the pink light, and it looks adorable on my daughter’s vanity. It doesn’t take up much space at all, which is great if you’re short on room or want something portable. Despite its small size, it works really well. It cures gel polish evenly and quickly, with two timer options (30s and 60s), which is more than enough for her needs.The pink light is a nice touch, not harsh on the eyes like some of the other UV dryers she’s tried in the past. And even though it’s only 12W, I was pleasantly surprised at how efficient it is. My daughter’s gel polish hardened nicely without any smudging or stickiness.It’s also super easy to use, just plug it in, press the timer button, and you’re good to go. No unnecessary features, just simple and effective.Overall, I think this is a perfect option for anyone who wants an affordable, reliable, and stylish nail dryer for home use.     At time of review this is priced at £7.99 which seems Ok for this and similar products.It’s compact and reasonably portable. You may well be able to take this on holiday. It has legs and is free standing so you don’t need to hold it which is a plus.It does seem to take a little longer than some other devices that I have to cure and dry the Polish although this is probably fine based on its size. If you need something portable, this is a good option.

    Definitely less then 1 star. I opened the tiny box it came and it was jammed into the box, stuck. When I got it out the foldable legs we stuck shut. I had to pry open with some scissors and then I plugged it in and it wouldn’t come on. I tried again and it came on very dim and was flashing off in on. It wouldn’t stop. It was broken

    too short of a cord, works great

    This small foldable UV nail dryer surprised me.Pulling this out of the box, it is very light and with only two buttons, no LED display, my initial thought was that it may not work well. The legs fold out, and I had a bit of a challenge opening it. It would help if there was an edge or a dip to pull at to open it, but you just have to flip the legs out using your nails.This unit needs plugged in, there is no rechargeable battery. The cord for it has a micro USB and a USB plug at the other, no brick is included. The cord is short. That was disappointing.After all that, I didn’t think it would work well, but it did!! Put on a layer of gel polish, pushed the 60 second button and the polish was cured. I was impressed.To recap, the nail dryer works great, it’s light and portable. The legs are a bit challenging to get open and the cord is way too short for my preference.

    Very nice

    The UV light nail dryer is a good quality product. It took me a moment to figure out how to pull out the stands. The lights are nice and bright. I like the two time settings that turn off automatically. It’s lightweight so easy to travel with. It doesn’t seem to store a charge so it has to be plugged into a USB Port in order to work. I just plug it into my laptop for quick polish touch ups. I’m pleased with the product.

    Cute but Slow…

    This little nail tool is definitely cute and does the job, but the curing time is at least three to four times longer than expected. I found a way to fit five fingers at once, otherwise it would have taken forever.That was just after the first gel layer – I didn’t even bother with the second one because I lost patience. On the plus side, it’s small enough to carry in a handbag, so in theory you could do your nails on the train (as long as you have a power bank with you!).Given its size, I should have expected longer curing times, but still… it’s more of an emergency/travel gadget than a main nail lamp.
