Great straightening brush, but controls on the handle are a bad design
I have a love-hate relationship with these straightening brushes. This one is far better in terms of being able to get the hair through the tines and having it get straightened, but it is harder to get the ends as flat as I would like; the ends tend to curl due to the style of straightener.I do like the wider flat head because it just gets more hair through, but my biggest complaint is that the on/off button and the temperature control buttons are right on the handle, EXACTLY where your fingers hit, so I am constantly turning it off, or lowering the temp unintentionally. I tried holding higher up on the handle and towards the bottom, but that just makes it awkward.If there are going to be controls on the handle, they should be recessed, and not buttons you WILL hit every time you pick it up.Overall, I like how this brush works, but I just can’t get past the horrible location of the control buttons – it makes it extremely difficult to use. If they had put them on the bottom of the handle or on the back of the head, it would be great, but where they are makes this a no-go for me. – I really want to love this one, I’m just struggling with the buttons in the middle of the handle.I would give this 4 stars, because it is a great brush, but constantly turning it off or changing the temp is just killing the functionality.So, it works great, but the design is the biggest issue, and it affects the function, so I probably won’t continue using it, which is a shame, because it seems well-made, and the brush part is the best one I have found so far. 😢

Straightforward, pun intended!
This heats up quick, and I mean quick! I’ve used straighteners in this style before, and while those are also not really slow at heating up, this is just on another level. It doesn’t seem dangerously fast or anything, and I haven’t blown a fuse either so I am chalking it up to great technology. The buttons and display are clear and easy to work with, but they are pretty easy to press on accident depending on how you are straightening your hair. I would have liked a ‘lock’ sort of feature so you don’t accidentally change settings every other minute but adjusting your hold does get the job done. As for straightening hair, it works decently. It’s not the best, unless you have some super thick hair. For thinner hair, I had a lot more trouble with this than a clamp style straightener, although this feels much safer for hair that gets damaged easily from heat. So, I would recommend it if you have really thick hair that can take a bit of heat with no issue! For thin hair, this is not that great a tool.
