they were supposed to be large and they are extra large. The brissles are all coming out in the hair and they don’t let the hair wrap around snuggley. They didn’t send me a receipt or packing slip.

These are still useful even in the days of blow dryers and curling irons…
Before blow dryers and curling irons, people used to put these curlers in their wet hair and leave them until the hair was dry… even overnight. Well we don’t need to do that anymore, but guess what? They are still useful. I skip a day between shampoos to give my hair a break; we do way too much shampooing and blow drying and hot ironing, etc. It’s a wonder our hair doesn’t all break off. So anyway, on my ‘off’ day, I wake up with my hair all ‘wonky’, curls flipping out in the wrong direction (I have semi curly hair). So, I throw a few of these in before I hop in the shower. The moisture in the shower helps to ‘set’ the curls. After I do my makeup and get dressed I take out the curlers and WOW! You know, they still haven’t invented anything that can give your hair the smooth fluffy bounciness that these curlers do.So get some, you will love them. These are almost impossible to find these days so get them while you still can. And don’t fall for the pretty colored ones, they are not the same and don’t work as well as these old ‘low-tech bottle brush in a spring covered with mesh’ style curlers do.Note: if you have very long straight hair you should look for the ‘jumbo’ size, these are about 1-1/8″ diameter and work great for medium length layered hair.

Wonderful, Old Fashioned Curlers that Are Simple, Sturdy and Non-Damaging
These days there are lots of new-fangled types of rollers that are really hard for me to use. They either have those “velcro-like” bristles that tangle my hair or they have self-clips that don’t hold securely, or they are solid state so the the air won’t circulate – meaning hair doesn’t dry effectively, or they are heat rollers that damage hair. I love these old fashioned curlers that are open weave for freely circulating air that makes drying quick, the simple stick-pins for secure hole and NO UGLY CREASES in hair. I especially like that the bristles inside the roller can be removed so that my hair never, ever gets tangled and damaged. These rollers are absolutely perfect! They come in all sizes and are great for a quick hairstyle.I use them after washing my hair in the mornings. I blow dry my hair and roll it up while still barely damp. Then, I put on my make-up, get dressed and do a few chores while my hair dries completely out (about 1 hour for my thin, fine, waist-length hair). After letting my hair set for awhile, I take it down and enjoy soft waves. If you want super curly hair, you can use a bonnet dryer to get everything warm and dry and then allow the hair to cool completely before taking it down.These are my favorite curlers but they are difficult to find in this modern day of every kind of roller under the sun. I’m glad I found them on Amazon!

Getting older, my fine thin hair just does not hold up anymore even with curling irons, etc. Someone recommended rollers like in the old days and I gave it a try. Well my hair had more body and lasted so much longer with the style and less damage to my hair than hot tools. It seemed funny putting pics in the rollers and my husband laughed, but guess this old way is still the best way!

Just what my mother was looking for from days of old
These curlers work well and comes with 8 pins. My mom loves these Old-fashioned curlers that are open weave that allow ax for circulating air making drying quick and simple. These curlers make it East to create beautiful curls without the need of heat or curling iron that can damage hair. My mom used these years ago and looked all over for these curlers. They were just what she was looking for and loves them. She uses them in between getting her hair professionally fixed because they are easy to use at home to create curls since they come with pins to hold the curler in place and tight. My mom highly recommends these curlers with pins and loves them!!

Just the ticket to curl my long hair.
These extra large rollers are just the ticket to curl my (now) long hair. I used smaller ones many years ago when my hair was shorter and before I turned to permanents. With the pandemic I’ve had to forgo the hair salon, so my hair is very long. I was SO PLEASED to find them still available. The little “pricklies” separate the strands allowing for air to dry the locks more readily. They are easy to use, and are by far the best rollers I have ever used.

Fior old time safe, they still work for my thin hair
I need some volume in my hair, it’s been like this all my life. Of course I have all the other things to curl them. but it won’t stay for more than a day. with these curlers, it will be for at least 3 days. I know it’s not in style today, but it really works wonder for thin hair.

Okay but kind of big
These rollers have brush inside, which allows your hair to dry more easily than the latest popular rulers. But I did find them too large for what I needed. I would prefer a medium size roller or small, but I don’t know what those are even available. They are much better than the velcro types that are now available. So they are okay, but not what I needed. I have difficulty with my hands manipulating the rollers because my hands are numb and painful and arthritic. That makes a big difference in my ability to use them. Otherwise I would say they are much more useful than the velcro type.
