My wife tried this hair fertilizer because she was looking for something to help with keeping her hair and scalp moisturized while supporting healthier looking, longer strands. She has been pretty happy with it overall, especially with how it feels on her scalp. Great Consistency for My Dry Type 4 Hair
I’ve been using this primarily on my edges since that’s an area where I have some thinning and where my hair has always seemed to grow more slowly and stay shorter than the rest of my hair. I’m interested to see whether consistent use will make a difference over time.When I apply it, I get that same sensation I usually experience with sulfur-based hair products. There’s a warming, tingly feeling on my scalp that lasts for a few minutes before fading. I checked the ingredients because I recognized the sensation, and sure enough, sulfur is included in the formula.The product has a menthol scent that I notice when applying it, but it doesn’t remain nearly as strong once I’ve worked it into my hair. The consistency is also quite thick, which is something I actually prefer. I have thick Type 4 hair that is prone to dryness and breakage if I don’t stay on top of keeping it hydrated and moisturized every few days, so heavier products tend to work better for helping my hair hold onto moisture.Despite the thick consistency, it doesn’t leave my hair looking overly greasy or weighed down after I apply it. I can use it on my edges without them looking like I’ve coated them in a heavy layer of grease, which I really like.I’m still going to give it more time before deciding how much of a difference it makes for my hair growth, especially since that’s something that can’t really be judged after only a short period of use. I totally missed that this was Black textured hair. However, I did check and this product can work on straight/brown hair, though it’s primarily marketed for Black and textured hair types.This product is for Men & Women and is Ideal if you have hair thinning, seasonal shedding, breakage, and reduced hair density; can be used alone or alongside your regular hair care routine.It’s heavy, it behaves like petroleum jelly. Since I fine, thinning hair but a dry scalp, I applied this product only on my scalp rather than both the scalp and hair strands. For my hair, this product would weigh my hair down and cause buildup. Less is more so use sparingly if your hair tends to get weighed down easily. Given the heavy petroleum base I start 2 times per week on just my scalp, at night.The price is on the high side, for what it is. I found the thickness of the product did not flow out of the tube easily.I am also using a red-light cap for 10 minutes after applying the Virgin Hair Fertilizer which I think is actually be beneficial. Red light therapy supports scalp circulation and follicle health, which complements what this product is designed to do.The “fertilizer” has coconut oil which helps hydrate and repair dry, damaged hair. The petroleum and lanolin base create a moisturizing scalp treatment. The product is designed to support DHT management, scalp circulation, and follicle strength to help reduce hair fall and thinning. I know results are not immediate, but if I see fewer hair strands on my pillowcase and healthier strands, then I’d consider this a great product. But, if I experience an increase in shedding and breakage I’ll stop immediately. So far, no redness, itching or irritation.The negatives, for thin damaged hair types, would be that I cannot used on my very processed hair, only on the scalp. Also, the strong medicinal, chemical odor. It’s the petroleum but it seems to stay until you wash your hair. The positive is that a little goes a long way. I am probably looking at 4-6+ months of use since I have fine hair and am only applying to my scalp. I’ll use less than someone with thicker hair which actually works in your favor as being a solid value, IF it helps my hair grow and/or stop the breakage.Given the smell, buildup risk (having fine hair), this product might not be worth the hassle.

Virgin Hair Fertilizer (ASIN B0H6FRF6X9) earns two stars from me because this stinky concoction may be moisturizing, but I don’t think it will do much for hair growth.In fact, the packaging identifies this as a an “antidandruff and hair conditioning cream for rapid and healthy hair growth.” What it says on the package, and what it says in the listing make this seem like two different products. One of the ingredients, sulfur, is typically used to treat dandruff and what likely accounts for this product’s horrible smell. The menthol in this is a vasodialator which can boost circulation to the scalp, but I think most of the ingredients are conditioning in nature and won’t do much for hair growth.And while none of the ingredients are inherently toxic or dangerous, some like petroleum paraffinum liquidum (mineral oil), coconut oil and lanolin are extreme pore cloggers. Others, like menthol, sulfur and limonene can irritate the scalp and are known allergens. I think the best ingredients in this product are butyrospermum parkii butter and synthetic wax, because they rarely cause adverse skin reactions.To me, Hair Fertilizer is a product with an identity crisis. I would be more comfortable if this was strictly marketed as an anti-dandruff conditioning treatment for black hair, but so many products today have jumped on the “hair growth” wagon without much scientific proof that they work. If you have fine, thin hair or a sensitive scalp, I would avoid this product. I got this 2026 Virgin Hair Fertilizer For Hair Growth For Black Hair. My hair is dry and possibly damaged because of exposure to chemicals from my pool. So I depend on these all the time to fix my hair. This product is easy to use and instructions are easy to understand and easy to follow. I was glad this product worked as intended and is as described. It left my dry hair with moisture and instead of frizzy it is now normal looking. It also left my hair soft. I like that this product has coconut oil because it helps with fixing dry damaged hair. This product seems it was made with good quality ingredients. This product did the job right. There was no rash or irritation while I was using this product. The coconut smell didn’t bother me a bit on the contrary it brung memories where I was opening a coconut and applying oil directly to my hair when I was young and we lived in a jungle without resources or stores or anything just everything natural all around. I removed one star because the name fertilizer reminds me of plants and garden and dirt and etc and is not a good name for something you putting on your hair. Sorry for that. Also, The amount they are asking for this product is super affordable and great fair reasonable value price. This product makes a great gift for ladies and I recommend this product.

Promising Ingredients for Healthy Hair
I’ve been trying out this hair fertilizer and so far I really like what I see. The ingredients look good to me especially because they include several things I already know are beneficial for my hair and scalp. I like that it’s geared toward supporting hair growth while also helping with a dry scalp. I’m hoping with consistent use it will help me maintain longer healthier looking strands. I’ve only been using it about a week now. It says it’s geared towards black Hair but I’m am white with straight average thickness hair and I’m getting benefits from it… a more moisturized scalp and softer feeling hair so far. Its definitely worth trying if you’re looking for a hair growth product with ingredients that make sense for your hair care routine!
