Promising Design, Disappointing Performance
I ordered these clippers specifically for cutting my toenails. The wide jaw opening and angled blade design looked especially promising for thicker nails.Right out of the package, both clippers had what appeared to be metal shavings along the blade edges (see photos), which I assumed was leftover grinding debris from the manufacturing process. Despite needing a thorough cleaning before use, I was still excited to try these clippers.Unfortunately, the performance was underwhelming. To be fair, they do work, but it took a surprising amount of force to cut through my toenails. I initially thought I may have just received a dull pair, so I tried the second clipper in the set, but it was just as difficult to use.I do think the overall design has potential. I had no issues fitting even the nails of my big toes into the extra-wide jaw opening, which is where I sometimes struggle with other clippers. The angled blade design seems well suited for hard-to-reach areas. The handles feel comfortable to hold and provide a better grip than standard nail clippers.The included nail spoon and file work well, and I also appreciate that each clipper comes with a hard plastic sleeve to protect the blades when not in use. If the blades were sharper and the finishing quality were better, these could have been great clippers.

Good quality for a good price
Excellent price for this package. You get two clippers, a nail scoop, and a nail file. And all of them are very nice. I wouldn’t call them “luxury” quality, but they are very good quality.The stainless steel blades are diagonal/curved…I personally found this very helpful for getting the corners of my toes without having to adjust my hands and fingers so much. You wouldn’t think this would be a big deal, but it is surprising just how much you need to turn your hand to trim the corner of the nail and if your wrists or fingers are inflamed every tiny movement counts.I found that the clipper felt comfortable in my grip. For some reason I tend to occasionally drop those tiny silver clippers but because these have a larger handle I can grip them a bit better.The curved blade and design did keep my clipped nails from flying away. Of course, they will still create a small mess. They aren’t designed with a built-in vacuum and collection bag, lol. There will still be a bit of a mess. But the mess is contained to wear you are trimming your nails rather than having a random nail go flying off.The design of the handles lets you move the spring to a neutral position in order to close the handles for storage. I find this style of spring to be stronger and more useful than the traditional clipper style. It also allows you to open the blades wide to easily clean them when you want to.If you have normal toenails this is great for trimming them. Much easier to do than with those tiny typical clippers. I, however, have cloven hooves for toe nails. These definitely work better than the smaller average clippers, but for my tough, thick, toe nails I still prefer the special heavy duty clippers. I also do not have fake fingernails, I am not sure how well these would work for those. Fake nails are pretty hard. Perhaps another reviewer will chime in with that.Overall I have found these to be a really good quality and a good value. The nail file is small and portable (if you are careful) and leaves the edges of the nail smooth and clean. The metal nail scoop is sturdy metal, easy to clean, and sized for travel. You can not go wrong here. And if you happen to lose one or tsa is in a mood and makes you ditch it, you won’t have lost an expensive tool.

Takes both hands to get enough pressure for thick nails
I have mixed feelings about these clippers. There are pros and cons to them so I guess their value will depend on an individual’s needs.The pros: These clippers open nice and wide to accommodate super thick toenails. My husband grows toenails that I’d compare to bear claws and I swear he could use those babies to shimmy up a tree. These clippers are plenty wide for his hefty talons.The cons: These blades aren’t particularly sharp and leave rough edges but they do include a nice glass file to shape the nails with after trimming and I was impressed with how well it smoothed the nails compared to a disposable emory board. Another con is that you need a lot of hand strength for enough pressure to trim thick nails. I had to get the clippers into position and then use both hands to make the cut.These clippers were not easy to use, but they do the job when you have extremely thick nails to deal with. The handles are made of a thick plastic and textured so they give a solid gripping surface for my fingers and I like the angled edges for getting down into the corners for a more rounded shape. The little metal tool was useful for cleaning along the edges and I could see it being very helpful for any ingrown nail situations. The plastic caps for the two clippers is a nice addition to keep the edges protected and clean.The clippers do a decent job on thick nails if you have enough hand strength to use them. It’s a good value for the price, especially since you get 2 clippers, the glass file, and the metal tool for ingrowns.

Ambidextrous Clippers, Natural Angle & Smooth Cut On *Soft* Nails (As One Should)
Traditional toenail clippers are frustrating because they are not large enough nor the right shape to cut a large or curved toenail. I hate to say that mine needed major maintenance for pedicure season. Larger clippers meant for toenails have never felt right, however, these are so naturally—and intuitively—curved and the steel is sharp. I was able to empty the nail into my hand without pieces flying everywhere and these eliminated what is normally a frustrating task.Cutting them after my bath, starting with softened nails will *always* yield best results. Never should strenuous effort be needed, which means the nail is not prepped and this risks breakage or damage to the nail; when people experience difficulty with these that may reflect whether the nails were ready to be clipped. Mine are thick but I did not need to apply ANY additional pressure when clipping and it was entirely smooth. The spring is strong but it is easy to press the levers together, which have grip patterns on them as well.You can use either angle as you clip and depending on the shape of your toenails, but these are also suitable for left-handed people—I am ambidextrous and tried clipping with both hands. For two pair, this is a deal, and there is even a glass nail file and a tool for cleaning around the nail as inclusions.
