Serious Leverage for Thick Nails
Finding clippers that can actually handle incredibly thick nails without just bending or crushing them is surprisingly difficult. I picked up this heavy-duty set because standard drugstore clippers just weren’t cutting it anymore. The moment you take these out of the box, you can feel the weight of the stainless steel. The wide jaw opens significantly wider than a standard set, making it incredibly easy to get around stubborn, thick toenails.The “eagle beak” curved blade is extremely sharp and cuts cleanly through on the first press with very little hand pressure required. That said, you do have to be very careful with the pointed tip. It’s great for digging out the edge of an ingrown nail, but if you slip, it is sharp enough to easily nick your skin. The included file and lifter tool are nice little bonuses that feel just as durable as the main clippers. If you struggle with thick nails or limited grip strength, this set is a massive upgrade over basic pharmacy tools.

I absolutely love this nail clipper set. It feels strong, well-made, and durable right out of the box, and the design is much more functional than a standard pair of nail clippers.The angled eagle-beak cutting head is my favorite feature. Well-Designed Nail Clippers That Make Trimming Easier
These are a very well-thought-out pair of nail clippers. You can tell the design was focused on making nail trimming easier, especially for people who have thicker nails or have difficulty flexing or bending over.What I like most is the angled “eagle beak” cutting head. It is especially useful for trimming the corners and edges of nails. With traditional clippers, I sometimes find myself lifting the nail as I try to reach the sides. This design lets you approach the edge more naturally, making it much easier to make precise cuts without putting unnecessary stress on the nail.The clippers have a 10 mm wide jaw opening, which easily accommodates thicker nails. They also include a simple locking wheel that can minimize the opening between blades. I actually like this feature quite a bit. It keeps the jaws protected, makes storage easier, and prevents the clippers from accidentally opening in a drawer or travel bag.Another thoughtful feature is the built-in nail catcher, which helps keep clippings from flying around the room. In theory it makes cleanup much easier than with ordinary nail clippers. In practice, it really didn’t do much.My only real criticism is that I wish the cutting edges were just a little sharper. Great specialist tool, notably for big toe, to get precise cuts in hard to reach places
This set includes a solidly built well-constructed specialist nail clipper/filer and nailbed cleaner tool. Not only is the tool built well, but it’s also precise in its use. Out of the way, the nailbed cleaner and file are good and easy to use. The unique part of this tool set is of course the clipper. Because of its pointed tip and the curvature it allows getting into that area on the outside of your big toe that is always hard to reach with your traditional nail clipper. It doesn’t take a lot of time to understand how to use it, but it’s still requiring more care to measure out where you want the cut to start, whereas a traditional nail clipper you can be a little less mindful. Once you get it in place, it does a great job of clipping. However, you can get a level of precision with this cutter that you can’t get otherwise which is good to have.A couple of things worth noting. I would say it’s either about the same or slightly worse than a nail clipper when it comes to having nails fly off after cutting. Also, when it does fly, it seems to fly even harder away than my traditional nail clipper, so be prepared for this. Also, I feel after using it, it’s still at its best used a specialist tool for that big toe or toenails that might be curved in and not as easily accessible w/ a traditional nail clipper. For toenails that are not difficult to access, I feel a traditional nail clipper is still easier to use. So, I would keep both on hand when it’s time to cut your foot nails.
