Cute but my hair gets stuck!
These novelty hair clips are super cute, and getting four for this price feels like a steal. I love that the set includes both gold and silver options. I’ve gotten lots of compliments and laughs over the giant safety pin design—they’re definitely fun conversation pieces.That said, these are more decorative than functional for me. They aren’t strong enough to hold all of my hair on their own without extra bobby pins or support. They are also a bit smaller than the model photo suggests. My biggest complaint is that my hair tends to get caught in the clasp area, which can pull and tangle.Overall, they’re fun and unique accessories if you’re looking for a novelty look, just maybe not ideal for all-day practical wear.

Misleading…
Okay so, admittedly, the information is there. There’s a photo of a giant safety pin in a woman’s hair. There’s dimensions. But some of the tagging in the title is a little misleading. You see “for sewing” and you definitely don’t expect… this.Even barring that, assuming I knew what I was in for — I don’t see how this product works. It’s not like it looks like a safety pin but has actual fittings to be used as a hair pin. It’s literally just a giant safety pin. I couldn’t use this in my hair if I wanted to. Where would I begin?

Very fun!
These might be the greatest hair accessory ever created. They’re fun and off the wall. I love how substantial the metal pins are. They have some weight to them but they aren’t uncomfortable to wear. I have curly hair and they stay in place really well for me, but they may slip out of fine or thin hair. The gold and silver color is very reflective. The ends are slightly pointed but not sharp. I really love how they look in different hairstyles. They’re very cool!

So cool for thick hair, but they definitely slip.
It is always a struggle to find trendy hair pins that can actually handle thick hair, and these are large enough to hold a lot of volume. The safety pin design looks incredibly cool and edgy in a bun or French twist. However, the metal is very smooth and they do slip a bit. Even with thick hair creating a tight hold, I still find myself having to re-secure them multiple times throughout the day. They work much better if you prep your hair with a strong texture spray first for extra grip. Also, one of the pins has a bit of discoloration, but it’s hidden while wearing.

I ordered “4 PCS Metal Hair Pins, Funny Pin Shape Design Hair Stick Pin,2026 New Metal Hair Pins for All Hair Types, Comfortable Fit | Ideal Gifts for Women Silver, 2pc/Gold”The one product photo available when ordering and reviewing shows a model with a larger than life safety pin photoshopped in the hair and four pin product images next to her. The safety pins are not the entire size of an average woman’s skull, but they are pretty big. I attached a photo of a pin next to a standard pair of scissors for reference.Honestly, just slotting a pin into a bun was not too difficult (kind of tricky to close it on the first few tries for me personally but I’ve never been perfect at doing that with pins anyways) but I don’t totally know how you’re supposed to style or use this. It practically disappeared in the bun I made but it did a decent job of holding the tension. I probably like this for the tension more than a simple pick since the pin loop can contain hair and compress it a bit for a better hold.Price at time is review is $9.99 for 4 pins. So about $2.50 a pin. The construction of the pins is pretty solid, no snags or sharp edges, and they seem like they’ll hold together well for a long time. The metal didn’t arrive with any visible rusting or blemishes either.

Jumbo hairpins with safety lock mechanism
These metal hairpins are too large for the hair, in my opinion. However, I have used them in other DIY projects so far, and they work well. These are quite sturdy and built with thick stainless steel. These are not very easy to bend or break. They feature a solid locking mechanism, which requires just the right amount of effort to open. So, its highly unlikely that these can be opened by accident. These come in a set of 4, with a pair each of golden and silver.
