Not for gel polish
NORCICO store’s acetone, nail polish remover in the lemon scent at 6.7 fluid ounces was not as I expected. I was looking for an acetone nail polish remover that would help with both regular nail polish and with gel polish removal. I wanted something strong enough that would make quick work of the gel polish so I didn’t have to spend a long time scraping my nails and damaging it to try to remove the polish. The lemon scent and the added oils and vitamin E in this acetone nail polish remover is just an addition for me and not the main star of the product. I don’t really mind the smell of acetone as long as it’s not right by my face. And as far as the drying out of the nails is concerned, I know that a really good strength acetone, polish remover would easily take care of the gel polish. My nails I find get damaged in the removal process where if the acetone remover does not work as well as expected, I have to do a lot of scraping and pushing and that is what damages my nails. So I just wanted a high-quality a good strength, acetone polish remover. I found that on regular polished nails this remover worked well. Almost any acetone works really well on regular polish. The ultimate test as to how good it is on how well it works on gel polish. Normally with other good beauty store products it takes about five minutes of soaking the gel nails in the acetone and it comes right off. I could not believe that with this product I was supposed to soak my nails in the acetone for about 30 minutes. That is a ridiculous amount of time to be walking around my house with foil wrapped nails. And acetone can eat through electronics, so there are a lot of things that I could not do while waiting for this acetone to work. Acetone can damage fabric and can do a lot of damage to furniture and other things so I have to be careful when I’m using acetone products. So, in using this product, I am signing up for 30 minutes of not being able to do anything. This was my biggest pet peeve. The lemon scent and the extra oils don’t compensate for the time wasted. The extras that they did provide like cotton balls and foil and two sided Emery board also is not that much of a bonus. I personally think it is overpriced and not that great of a product. However, because it does work on regular nail polish and has a great scent and has all these extra benefits to prevent drying out of the nails I can recommend it to people that like to wear regular nail polish.

Love that this doesn’t smell of harsh chemicals, you get a nice fresh lemon scent and I prefer this smell over chemicals. I would definitely recommend buying, I didn’t even know that nail polish remover came in scents. You don’t need a lot, no need to unscrew the top, just flip the top and push down on top, you don’t have to worry about making a mess or spilling the polish remover. This work with regular one gel nail polish.

The formula includes jojoba oil, glycerin, and vitamin E, giving it a lighter, lemon-cleaner scent compared to harsh smell of acetone — but keep in mind that can still feel a bit drying on the skin and nails.When it comes to regular and shimmery polishes, it works like a charm. The pump makes application effortless, and polish wipes away quickly with minimal scrubbing. Like the stuff you get in a regular store, but on steroids.However, if you’re buying this specifically for gel polish, you might be disappointed. Even after filing off the top coat and soaking for 20 minutes (or longer), it doesn’t do a good enough job and barely breaks down gel or dark shades, leaving you to finish the job with a stronger gel remover.Verdict: A convenient, complete set for regular manicures, but not quite powerful enough for tough gel removal. I received this acetone remover kit and I am happy with how quick and thorough it is for both regular polish and gel. The acetone based formula lifts regular nail polish in about three to six seconds, and for soak off gel it softens everything nicely once you file the top layer and use the foil wrap method with the remover soaked cotton pads. It has a light lemon scent that makes the process feel less harsh, and the added jojoba oil, glycerin, and vitamin E help reduce dryness so nails do not feel as stripped after use. Convenient Pump Bottle and Works Well on Regular Polish
This acetone works great for removing regular nail polish. I haven’t tested it on gel polish, so I can’t speak to how well it performs for that.The formula is effective without feeling overly harsh. It removed my polish fast and easily and didn’t irritate my skin or leave my nails feeling excessively dry afterward.I also like the pump bottle. It makes dispensing the acetone much more convenient, and unlike some pump bottles I’ve used, it doesn’t splatter or make a mess. Occasionally I have to press the pump more than once before the acetone comes out, but it’s a minor issue and hasn’t affected how well it works overall.It also comes with a few useful extras, including cotton balls, a cuticle pusher, a pointed tool for cleaning around the nails or toenails, foil sheets, and a small nail file. The included cotton balls are on the smaller side.Overall, this is a nice nail polish remover kit. It works well, the pump bottle is convenient, and the included tools are a thoughtful bonus for at-home manicures and pedicures.

I really wanted to love this for gel removal
On paper, this has so many things going for it: nourishing jojoba oil, glycerin and vitamin E added to the acetone formula, much less intense scent than your typical 100% acetone, handy flip-top pump bottle. Wouldn’t it be perfect if this could actually remove gel polish, without drying out nails? Sadly, it didn’t for me, not even after letting it soak for 20 minutes. Broke it down some, but I still had to resort to a brush-on gel remover (by the same brand) to finish the job. It’s amazing for regular nail polish removal, but even though they give you all the tools for soaking off UV gel – nail file for filing off top coat (which I faithfully did), foil wraps (my package had 19), metal nail pusher tool and cotton pads – the formula itself wasn’t quite up to the task. I’m a little sad, because I really wanted this to work.
