I ordered this ACTIIV Recover Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner bundle even though it is marketed toward men. Over the years, I’ve actually had some of my best results with products designed for men, especially when it comes to thinning, fragile hair. My hair has become finer over time, so I’m always looking for products that can help add volume without making it feel coated or heavy.One thing I noticed right away is that a little goes a long way. The bottles are on the smaller side, but I only need a dime-sized amount of shampoo for my long hair. It creates a surprisingly rich lather that cleans thoroughly and leaves my scalp feeling fresh. My pros and cons
Me: Someone who doesn’t mind trying products marketed to men. Oftentimes they work better!! Also me- I have two types of hair. My natural hair is thin, wavy, and hard to manage. I have fusion hair extensions that are thick, straight, and prone to being dry on the ends.Climate: I live in a VERY dry climate with hard waterPros: This is a specialty shampoo. Consider that when looking at the price. That can be a pro or a con, depending on results.Worked great for my natural hair. I was able to go two days without a shampoo and my hair did not get oily at all at the roots. I went one more day before giving in to a shampoo, but that’s because it’s very dusty where I live and I don’t need my hair to be dull or smell dusty. Extensions, especially long ones, don’t require as much shampooing.Cons: Was a little too drying for my extensions, especially on the ends. I could feel that when I rinsed out the conditioner. I needed some extra leave in conditioner.I did not have flyaways. It was bouncier than normal. I did not get as much shine as I normally do, but my hair was not dull.I recognize I have a unique set of circumstances with my hair and climate. Ponder that when pondering my review.Overall- This would be a great set if I did not have my extensions installed. I will keep this set for when I have them removed soon. I feel it’s perfect for my thinner, wavy natural hair.

Very nice premium set !!
I have been using this bundle for about three weeks, and so far I’m impressed with the overall quality. Luxury shampoo and conditioner set
There’s a lot to like another ACTIIV Recover Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner set. It’s technically marketed towards men, but the ingredients are largely the same as the product geared towards women and it doesn’t smell overly masculine either.I like that the conditioner provides great slip when I comb it into my long, curly hair and keeps it frizz free. It’s my favorite between the shampoo and conditioner though they work well together.The shampoo is interesting as it has use instructions that are unlike most other shampoos and asks that you leave it in place for five minutes. I’ve done this a few times and don’t really notice a difference. It seems a bit fussy, but it’s not a problem since I want to see if following the directions precisely would provide results.For men or other people with shorter hair, the higher than average price works out with time on a per use basis since you just need a tiny bit of both the shampoo and the conditioner. As for me, I would probably not purchase it again because I don’t see a lot of difference between my regular higher end shampoo and conditioner set that provides a lot more product and because I need to use more conditioner than average due to the length and texture of my hair.

Already experiencing new growth
Ok, I’ve been using this brand exclusively on my hair for the last 2-3 months and I’m already starting to see some new growth in areas I was balding.I love that it doesn’t have a strong odor and that they’re vegan. Especially because I have pets and used to worry about what some of the other hair loss chemicals might do to them (or me for that matter).I love my hair and was really dreading the mirror every day because of how much hair I’ve been losing, mostly from stress, age, and testosterone.I actually had a stylist recommend this product and have to say I was very apprehensive because of the price. I mean, what if it didn’t work and this was just another thing that ended up in the trash???Luckily, it’s been pretty good so far. I know it may take a while for it to truly grow back, but I’m excited at the prospect of having my hair return in full again.

Great quality hair thickening shampoo and conditioner for men
This is a great shampoo and conditioner for my husband. The bottles are so cool and unique. It smells great and works great. It definitely has a salon feel to it and his hair feels soft and bouncy when using it. Even though these are small bottles, he doesn’t use a lot of product, so it will last him longer. Which is good because these are expensive. We haven’t noticed a huge difference yet, but time will tell. I will say that these products are geared for men with thinning hair, so I feel like this is definitely worth trying. Both he and I are excited to see results. With the quality being as good as I think it is, I’m hoping to see improvements soon.

Directions too small to read and different directions to follow for each bottle
I feel the price is very expensive for how much you get. You get 7fl oz in each bottle. It is nice that you get both shampoo and conditioner. The directions on the back of the bottle are in very small print where I can’t even read it with my readers, I actually need a magnifying glass to read. They say you should use every other day which would extend the length the product would last. It says it is a product of the US, but it has the directions in 3 different languages. The directions are different for the shampoo and the conditioner. For the shampoo, you are supposed to leave in for 5 minutes and then rinse with warm water. However, the conditioner does not say how long to leave it in, but it says to rinse with cold water. I don’t know about you, but I do not normally use cold water to shower.
