Really nice, not what I expected
I’m impressed. I didn’t expect it to lather so nicely and clean my scalp and hair so well. I just had my hair highlighted and waited a few day before I shampooed using this rice bar. It cleansed well and felt very moisturizing. I have been losing hair and am worried about thinning hair. I wanted to try a different approach to help my hair and did my research. I’m hopeful this will continue to work for me. I might be able to wash my hair more frequently since this doesn’t seem to dry out my already dry hair. It may even help with moisturizing. The smell is light and not overpowering. Rinses well. I might have found my new shampoo. I only gave 4 stars bcz nothing is perfect and I only tried it once, so we’ll see after trying it over a longer period of time. I may do an update if it helped with hair loss and regrowth and how healthy my hair is. It takes some time to test and give a better review. This was just my first impression.

Does what it claims.
I have very fine hair and due to illness it’s getting worse.Believe me I have spent a fortune on all sorts of products that claim they give body, hair growth, nothing worked.I didn’t have any faith in this but thought I would give it a go, my hair is never going to be thick but this soap really does help a lot.Give it a go it’ll surprise you.

Beat lather from a bar soap shampoo
I have hair down my back, so lots of hair. When I wash it, I lose a lot and it doesn’t always feel clean enough. I also use lots of conditioner. It doesn’t matter if it’s expensive shampoo and conditioner or cheap. I thought I’d try this bar soap shampoo on a whim. I’m hooked! It lathers up really well, better than most shampoos. It strips the hair product out of my hair and it feels squeaky clean. I do not have to use conditioner as my hair feels less tangly and still so soft, as I twirl my hair a lot. I’ve even noticed my hair being shinier. Best of all. I notice less hair left in the shower than I did before. I’ve used this bar for a month now, and I shower daily, sometimes every other day, the shampoo bar still looks the same, hasn’t gone down much. It says it replaces 3 bottles of shampoo, with all my hair, I go thru a lot quickly. So we will see, but so far, I’m very happy with this purchase!

Lather is awesome, makes my hair feel clean!
These bars come in little bags to help with lathering. I didn’t use the bags and was shocked how quickly it lathered. I have naturally curly hair that tends toward dryness. So far, my hair feels much smoother. and not as dry. Also, the scent isn’t bad, about the same as some medicated shampoos, but not unpleasant. There is some frizz on my ends, however I need a trim so haven’t had a cut in over a year. Overall, my hair feels softer and smoother. Bottom line I am happy with my purchase. Will most likely be buying again when I run out.

Just buy the shampoo without the conditioner
Conditioner left my hair hard to comb/brush out. I loved the shampoo, but wanted to take this on vacation to save on liquid bottles. I ended up not taking it since I had to bring liquid conditioner or leave in spray conditioner to be able to get a comb thru my hair.

The best shampoo bar I’ve found
This black rice shampoo bar creates a nice thick foam and does a good job of clearing product from my hair and leaving my scalp feeling clean but not dry. I love that I’m reducing my contribution to plastic in the oceans by using it. I am especially sensitive to perfumes and milled soap smells, and talking a good sniff of the unused bar while in the box makes me choke. Don’t let this deter you! It leaves no smell at all on my hands or hair, and the bar itself barely has a scent after a few uses. I tried 5 other shampoo bars before this one and they all either dried out, or left a film on, my scalp and hair. Airnex is my shampoo brand for about a year now, and I haven’t had to use draino on the tub drain once (a past frequent occurrence). Last but not least, it’s nice to be able to toss the last sliver into a toiletry bag and not have it count as a liquid or worry about spills for air travel.

Rich Lather, Deep Clean, But Drying for My Hair
I was pleasantly surprised by how well this shampoo lathered. For a bar shampoo, it created a rich, thick foam that far exceeded my expectations, and a little went a long way. It left my hair feeling exceptionally clean—almost squeaky clean.The only downside for me was that it didn’t leave my hair feeling moisturized. After rinsing, my hair felt as though the natural oils had been stripped away, leaving it a bit dry. If you’re looking for a deep-cleansing shampoo bar, this does an excellent job. However, if your hair tends to be dry or you need extra moisture, you may want to follow up with a good conditioner or hair mask.Overall, I was impressed with the cleansing performance, but I wish it provided a bit more hydration.

Exceeded my expectations
I tried this on a whim bc I have a sensitive scalp and dry hair. My expectations were pretty low bc I have tried so many different things that didn’t really make much of a difference. I have only used this shampoo three times since I got it and I love it already. A few things to note: 1)I thought the fragrance was overwhelming in the box and was worried it would be the same on my hair, but no, it is not that strong when used. 2) It comes with a cotton bag which the directions say could be used for lathering, but I used my hands and it did fine. Actually it lathers really well, better than most shampoos I’ve ever used. 3) My scalp feels fine and my hair looks better. Hoping after more use my hair will continue to improve.Also, The first time I used it, I did not use conditioner bc I wanted to see what it smelled like and if my hair felt any different. It smelled great and looked slightly better. The next two times I used my leave in conditioner and it was a huge improvement. Two bars come in the box and the bar I’ve used looks completely untouched so I expect it to last a really long time. I highly recommend these!

World’s biggest, skeptic converted!
Once I began to color my hair, the problems started. I tried every shampoo that promised good results. However, my hair was always frizzy, limp and difficult to style. Because I am on a one woman mission to eliminate plastic from this planet, I was the to first want to anything that did not come in a plastic bottle. I started buying other shampoo bars that came in a cardboard box. in fact, I tried two different types of shampoo that looks like a bar of soap. Both of the other brands were horrible. No matter how much conditioner I used my hair remained Frizzy and impossible to style. So, I gave up on boxed shampoo bars and purchased expensive brands of shampoo in (you guessed it – all of which came packaged in plastic bottles) and promised, beautiful hair. However, they all turned out the same: frizz, limp, dry. So, being the Planet caretaker that I am, I bought this soap because of other reviews that I read. Never in 1 million years did I think it would be any different BUT IT WAS! Believe everything you hear about this shampoo. It is magnificent! It will give you generous, lather, and you almost don’t even need a conditioner, however, I did condition my hair. This is my hair that has been just blown dry and not yet styled, no other product is on my hair, and it hasn’t yet seen the straightening iron. In fact, today I think I might just skip the straightening iron. I am forever sold.
