It took actually using it for me to understand why so many different benefits are mentioned.This is a dual-layer formula, so you need to shake it well before each use. Once mixed, it sprays out in a very fine mist that distributes surprisingly well throughout the hair. A little goes a long way, and it’s easy to overapply if you’re heavy-handed because the sprayer covers a lot of area with each pump.My hair is naturally prone to dryness and frizz, especially several days after washing. This has become one of my favorite products for bringing my hair back to life between wash days. I simply spray it through my hair, comb it through, and it instantly makes everything look smoother, softer, and more polished. It helps tame frizz, adds moisture back into dry lengths, and even seems to revive some of the curl pattern that starts disappearing as the week goes on.What impressed me most is how much healthier my hair looks after using it. Podoclos Amino Booster Hair Mist is an interesting product, but ultimately not for me.I have some hand/wrist difficulties, so the shaking to mix before and during each use is a little too much for my abilities. The bottle is quite small, which makes it very easy to hold, and the trigger spray is easy to reach and use, so those are great if you’ve got someone to shake it up for you. (I bet kids would love to have that job!)The detangling effect is not of any importance to me, because I have such short hair. The anti-frizz and shine boost are nice, though. My hair is coarse, and can sometimes feel quite rough to the touch. This helped to smooth that out, without feeling sticky or greasy.

I’ve already been using Podoclos’s shampoo, so I was excited to pair it with this Amino Booster Hair Mist! The brand has really leaned into its grape complex across the line, and highlights the grape extract, grape seed oil, and wine extract. After every shower, I found myself reaching for this because it replaces several steps at once. It’s a leave-in conditioner, detangler, heat protectant, shine spray, and protein treatment all in one bottle. Since it’s a dual-layer formula, you do have to give it a good shake before spraying so the water and cream layers combine. I was pretty generous with it, and it left my hair noticeably easier to brush. The coarse texture I tend to get near my roots felt smoother, my hair stayed better hydrated, and it looked shinier without feeling heavy.The fragrance deserves its own paragraph because it’s much more refined than I expected from a hair mist. It opens with bergamot and mandarin before settling into iris, jasmine sambac, patchouli, sandalwood, and vetiver. It almost feels like you’re misting a light perfume into your hair, especially right after application, but it softens as your hair dries. Since I was already using the matching shampoo, the two layered together really well and left my hair smelling fresh long after it had dried.Beyond making my hair feel nicer, I also like the formula itself. Literally SAVED my hair after a different product left it a stiff greasy mess
I’m really shocked at how much I love this hair mist. The day I first tried it, I had been testing a different hair product, a creamy gel-like heat protectant. I used far too much and my hair ended up in that awful limbo of being both stiff and greasy at the same time. I was SO devastated because I was on my way out to meet a celebrity that I admire and didn’t have time to rewash my hair, so I grabbed this hair mist hoping it could at least make things a little better. And MAGIC happened!!I’m not entirely sure what sorcery is in this bottle, but within minutes my hair was soft again. I went from not being able to run my fingers through it without the strands snagging to having silky, touchable hair. As an added bonus, it smells lovely. The fragrance is definitely floral, so if you’re sensitive to scented hair products, that’s something to keep in mind.This has quickly become my go-to hair product for both wet and dry hair. It works beautifully as a finishing spray to soften and smooth, but I’ve also enjoyed using it after washing my hair before styling.The ingredient list is surprisingly impressive. In addition to silicones that help smooth the hair shaft, it contains an amino acid complex, multiple forms of hyaluronic acid, grape seed oil and grape extract, as well as an assortment of peptides that are more commonly found in skincare products. While I’m skeptical that all of those fancy ingredients are doing much for my hair in the short term, they certainly don’t hurt. What I can say with confidence is that this product leaves my hair softer, smoother, and easier to manage.Sometimes hair products promise the moon and deliver disappointment. Lightweight Mist That Leaves Hair Feeling Softer
I have thick Type 4 hair that loses moisture easily, so I rely on leave-in products throughout the week to keep my hair hydrated between wash days. Because of that, I was interested in seeing how this mist would perform on its own before pairing it with the rest of my usual products.The first thing I noticed was the fragrance. It has a strong floral scent when initially sprayed. Floral fragrances are not usually my first choice for hair products because they can sometimes become overwhelming, but this one softened considerably after it settled into my hair. Once it dried, the remaining scent was light enough that I actually enjoyed it.I applied the mist to freshly washed and conditioned damp hair without using any other leave-ins or styling products. This gave me a better idea of how it performed by itself. As my hair air dried, I noticed it felt softer and smoother than it normally does with no additional products applied. My hair didn’t look or feel weighed down either.For my particular hair type, I wouldn’t use this as my only leave-in conditioner. My hair needs richer moisturizing products to stay hydrated for several days, so this mist doesn’t provide enough moisture on its own. However, I think it works very well as part of a layered routine.Going forward, I plan to use it after applying my regular leave-in conditioner and moisturizer. It adds softness, helps smooth my hair, and leaves behind a light fragrance that complements the rest of my routine. For anyone with finer hair, it may provide enough moisture by itself, but for thick Type 4 hair like mine, I see it as an excellent finishing step rather than a standalone leave-in.

Soft and touchable hair
This is a miracle spray for my long 2b hair! Color-treated grey hair gets really dry, I am learning (ugh!), and I fight this daily. Hair oil helps a bit, but nothing quite got my hair soft and un-frizzy…then I tried this Amino Booster Leave-In Conditioner. YES! What a win.This spray is light and smells super yummy, a light floral fragrance (lily of the valley!) that actually lasts a while! Simply shake to mix this formulation, then the spray bottle works really great for dispersing an ultra-fine mist that is great for coating the hair broadly yet not heavily.I find that applying this before I begin styling my hair–a base layer while still damp–gives me soft and gently wavy hair, a big improvement over the strawlike ends I had when I started using the spray! I would suggest using this either before heat styling or with air-dry styles, because the mist does moisten the hair and using it after I heat styled un-did my hairstyle a bit! Applying this on dry hair imparts moisture and, on my wavy hair, it activated the curl somewhat.This is Korean beauty at an affordable price that delivers what it promises. I am already planning to purchase another bottle; in just three uses, I feel like my hair is cumulatively becoming more healthy-looking because of using this spray.

Fantastic hair mist, but very expensive for the amount you get.
I was excited to try the Podoclos Amino Booster Hair Mist Leave-in Conditioner & Detangler Spray, as I have another product from this brand that I LOVE! I have wavy, curly hair that has a lot of frizz, and this spray definitely does reduce frizz and make my hair shinier and feel healthier. This hair mist contains grape seed oil, and amino acids, which are good ingredients in hair products and it says it protects hair from heat up to 482°, which is great, since most hair tools don’t heat more than 450°, so this product should protect hair no matter which hair tools a person uses. I don’t understand some of the other reviews that talk about this product having a strong scent because to me, the scent is just light and clean smelling, and not strong at all. The only issue I have with this product is the size you get for the price. It’s only 3.71 oz of product, and I had to use 6-7 sprays for my shoulder length hair(my hair strands are fairly thin, but there’s just a lot of them), so this won’t last long for me, making it not a great value, but it is a great product.
