I have a lot of dandruff that I cannot get rid of. This didn’t seem to calm it down much. The smell is decent. It does leave my hair soft and does not cause any oiliness for me.

Good for itchy scalp
I am reviewing this product for itchy scalp. I do not personally have dandruff or other skin conditions. But my scalp and hair need some TLC after a Summer of swimming in chlorinated swimming pools and going to the beach.The shampoo has been soothing for my itchy scalp. It already feels better after a few days of use. It has the same active zinc ingredient as a standard dandruff shampoo but the other products are similar to a higher quality, gentle shampoo.I have curly hair and the shampoo has had a nice effect on my curl pattern. I use an ash toner for medium blonde hair and it hasn’t stripped my toner at all. I appreciate that, as ash toners are notoriously easy to wash out when shampooing.In conclusion, this is a good, gentle, high quality shampoo that will work like the products intended for scalp conditions, while also having the good qualities of a higher priced, salon quality shampoo. I rate it highly for being gentle on colored hair, specifically hair colored with an ash toner.

Favorite dandruff shampoo!!
I LOVE this dandruff shampoo!! I have always washed my hair twice on wash days (once with a dandruff shampoo and then with a moisturizing shampoo) to avoid my scalp feeling itchy and really get rid of buildup. Of all the drugstore and high-end dandruff shampoos I’ve tried, this one was instantly my favorite. It’s got this lovely rosemary smell that feels great on the scalp, similar to a tea tree oil shampoo, if you’ve ever used one. The shampoo foams nicely, works so well to clean the hair without leaving it feeling stripped or squeaky, and prevents and dandruff itchiness that I have when I don’t use dandruff shampoo. I added a photo of the bottle next to a regular size conditioner, so you can see the size comparison!! I highly recommend this shampoo if you’re wanting a dandruff shampoo that feels great, refreshes your hair, and works as advertised!!

Doesn’t smell good but I am really impressed
I suffer from major build up dandruff. I have to wash my hair every 2 days to combat the oil which can dry out my scalp while also creating a build up dandruff. I hate it!!So I ordered this dandruff shampoo to see how it works. I was very impressed! I first did a cleansing shampoo to get out any build up and then went in with this shampoo. Now the smell…it isn’t pleasant! But many of the good working dandruff shampoos don’t smell good. I think it’s the zinc that really gives it a funky odor. However, it didn’t leave my hair smelling bad.It’s been 2 hours since my shower and my hair feels amazing!! It lathered so well that I was really able to get into the roots and scalp and clean it well. I then left it on for 3 minutes. It rinsed out easily and I applied a light conditioner to the ends. Now it feels so incredibly clean and my scalp is not itching at all! I am really impressed with it!Also, a little goes a long way so you don’t need to use a huge amount. Definitely recommend for those with dandruff or build up on their scalp. This really cleans it and makes my scalp feel nourished!
