Makes my hair very soft-Its impressive
I ordered this mostly because of the brand itself. AVEDA is top quality but expensive so I jumped on the opportunity to try this out. I wasn’t sure how to use it and of course the bottle has no real instructions so I had to watch a video to see. I still have no clue how often they recommend you use this. I have grey hair dyed blonde so anything hydrating is helpful. I also once in a while get an itchy scalp. No dandruff so I think that is also due to certain times of year being less humid etc. I have shoulder length hair and feel I did have to use quite a bit per the video so this has to be good as its really expensive. I rubbed some on my scalp and combed the rest through my hair and let it sit for a good 5 minutes before rinsing out. I did not follow up with any conditioner or any styling product at all. I was actually very surprised that after drying my hair it was so much softer and silkier than before. It was almost like an expensive Keratin treatment at the salon. It kept slipping out of my curling iron. I will have to experiment with how much and how often but I think this is worth every penny. I did not really care for the scent and I like strong ones plus I want my hair to retain that scent long after washing. I wont use a hair product that does not leave a lingering fantastic smell especially at this price point. In this case I was worried that my hair would retain the scent but thankfully it did not. I would live with it for the results but its not my favorite. I love both citrus and mint but I smell neither in this. Not sure what I smell but that’s very subjective and I know some people liked it.

Invigorating scalp treatment
I’m an Aveda fan and got this as a scalp treatment.I find it to be on-par with other Aveda products in quality and effectiveness.Pros:+I like the minty-herbal fragrance. It seems to be refreshing.+It feels invigorating when it’s on my scalp.+It’s easy to rinse out and rinses clean with no heaviness or noticeable residue on my hair.+It’s a small thing, but I like the nozzle. I was having trouble getting it to the scalp if I applied on my palm. So, I apply directly to the scalp using the nozzle.Cons/Critiques:+It seems that it strips my hair just a little bit when I use it. I’ve had to put a little leave-in conditioner in after I use it.

Not a fan
Unfortunately I was not a fan of this. Didn’t hydrate my hair the way I would have liked and instead made it feel sticky and dry. The texture reminds me a bit of glue and it didn’t glide through my hair easily. Probably better suited for a different hair type. I have fine curly, high porosity hair.

Quality product, effective moisturizer for hair and scalp
Aveda is a high quality haircare company that I have used for years, but this is my first time to try this product. It has a very thick, creamy consistency and rinses out clean. Leaves my hair much softer and I can feel the difference with the dryness of my scalp. I use it about once a week and it leaves my hair softer for styling. The aroma of this product is very typical of Aveda products, which can seem strong while applying, but it leaves a soft pleasant aroma in the hair after styling. The aroma comes from the naturally derived ingredients, not from perfumes. It is a high price point, but it’s a quality product and a good value considering the results.

If your head itches try this!
Treating your scalp like the skin that it is= happy head!I use it this hydrating masque as part of my rotation of products for my aging, much dryer scalp. It foams up and cleans like any other shampoo. Other family members who have similar itchiness, but are not 65+ have taken my recommendation and are happy with this Aveda product.
