    Weird smell, not for curly hair

    I have armpit length hair. It is fine and 2b or 2c depending on the day. My hair dries really fast. I have a large variety of hair detangler and usually use Cantù (because it smells amazing & and I don’t have to use a ton). This product is the opposite.The product is super light and I had to use a lot of it to get the tangles out. It didn’t seem to moisturize the hair as much as I had expected. It seemed like it dried my hair out, so I might test this as a “semi-dry”shampoo In fact, after I put this on, my hair seemed much straighter. The smell was bizarre. It smelled like fabuloso (the floor cleaning product) and Axe (the middle school spray that kids overuse) combined. So not good for men or women. The smell was seriously off putting.I would recommend this for folks that want their hair to be straighter, have hair that takes forever to dry, and/or don’t have tangled hair.

    I like this Avoglow Detangler Hair Mist. The first think I noticed with the bottle. I really like it. This Detangler arrived in very securely package in a box within a box and wrapped in bubble wrap. I really appreciate how it was shipped so that it did not spill or leak. This detangler is very lightweight, has the most pleasant smell and the Argan Oil is not greasy or heavy. I am using it as a leave in conditioner and I’m seeing some smoothness from frizzies and my hair feels softer. Yet, this seems pricey to me. I don’t know what the average cost is for a product like this, but I will say, I’m so impressed with the care they took to ship and the results thus far, it may well be worth it.

    Works well as a detangler, but too expensive for me

    The Avoglow Hydrating Detangler and Leave-in Conditioner contains argan oil, keratin and collagen and is intended to detangle hair while providing hydration, softness and shine. You get 8.45 fluid ounces in a space saving tall and slender spray bottle. The bottle had an interesting push-pin type method of shutting off or turning on the spraying capability – one I’d never seen before, but which works very well. It is a very effective detangler and worked well both with a comb and a hair pick. It has a pleasant light fragrance to it.When I try a new hair-care product, I usually try to keep my styling regimen as close to my regular regimen as possible, and using the same products unless I’m swapping one out for the product I’m trying. I shampoo, use a rinse-out conditioner, put styling product on my hands and use my hands to crimp in some extra curl, then air-dry it.Because this product is advertised to also work as a leave-in conditioner, the first time I used it I also switched to a stronger hold styling product, which gives me better curls and a better hold but makes my hair feel less soft. I was hoping the leave-in conditioner would add that softness back, but unfortunately my hair was even less soft and for some reason I wasn’t able to crimp in extra curls. My hair looked a little straighter and didn’t seem as shiny.The second time I used it, I used my normal shampoo and conditioner, sprayed on this detangler and combed my hair, then styled it with my favorite styling product and not the stronger-hold product. I verified again that this is a great detangler. My hair looked and felt pretty much the same as always. It was fairly soft and shiny.Unfortunately, because other leave-in conditioners have worked better on my hair and the price is more than I’d spend for a detangler, I can’t give it more than a rating of 3.

    Effective detangler

    I’ll start by saying that the Avoglow Detangler Hair Mist works really well on my hair, which is wavy with a tendency toward frizziness. It’s easy to use. I spray it on my wet hair, add an air dry curl cream, scrunch lightly and let it dry naturally. Adding this detangler to the mix decreased frizz and improved the overall look. The scent is light and very pleasant; it doesn’t incite my allergies at all.There are two reasons I didn’t give this product 5 stars. First, I find that daily use causes build up; my hair doesn’t tolerate clarifying shampoos well, so that’s a bummer. Second, it doesn’t feel like a great value to me at $36 for a 2.25 oz bottle. It’s certainly a nice product; just more than I’m willing to pay for it personally.

    Works great!

    I’ve been really happy with this leave-in conditioner and detangler. It sprays on easily and does a great job helping work through tangles without making the hair feel heavy or greasy afterward. Hair feels noticeably softer, smoother, and much easier to brush through.I also like that it contains argan oil, keratin, and collagen. It gives the hair a nice hydrated feel and adds some shine without leaving behind a lot of residue. A little goes a long way, so the bottle should last quite a while as well.Overall, this is a great everyday detangler and leave-in conditioner, especially when you want something quick and easy after washing your hair. It leaves hair feeling soft, conditioned, and much more manageable. Five stars!

    Makes detangling my fine, wavy, color-treated hair easier

    I have naturally fine, wavy, color-treated hair that tangles easily and is prone to breakage, so I’ve been using Avoglow Detangler Hair Mist on damp hair after shampooing. Four sprays was enough for my almost shoulder-length hair, so I didn’t feel like I had to oversaturate it. The formula is thin and watery, and the sprayer gave an even spray each time. I also have to mention that the soft pink color made it a little more fun to use.Using my wide-tooth comb, I noticed fewer snags and snarls than I normally deal with. I followed with my Pureology Weightless Mousse, lightly scrunched my hair, and diffused it as usual. The Avoglow detangler layered well with my mousse and didn’t leave behind any stickiness or gummy feeling. It also didn’t leave my fine hair feeling weighed down, so my hair still felt clean and lightweight after it dried.The scent is light and fades quickly on my fine hair. I couldn’t wear it long enough to identify what the fragrance was.The packaging looked neatly hand wrapped, which gave it a nice presentation. The Avoglow detangler has become part of my routine after shampooing before I comb through my hair and diffuse it. It makes that part of my routine easier, especially on days when my hair is more prone to tangling.
