Works better than alcohol prep, and a great value
I had never used a dedicated nail dehydrator before because I always just used alcohol as part of my nail prep routine. After trying this, I have to admit it seems to work better.I’ve noticed that my press-on nails adhere more reliably when I use this beforehand. That applies to both traditional nail glue and the sticky adhesive tabs. I’ve also had good results using it before gel applications, where it seems to help with adhesion and longevity.The product itself is easy to use and has earned a permanent place in my nail prep routine. For the price, it’s an excellent value. It only costs a few dollars, works well, and is a worthwhile addition to a nail collection if you’re looking to improve adhesion and wear time.My one real complaint is the packaging size. The bottle is absolutely enormous. On the one hand, that’s great value because you’re getting a lot of product. On the other hand, if you have a dedicated nail storage area like I do, be aware that this thing takes up a surprising amount of space. It doesn’t fit neatly alongside most of my other nail supplies.That said, it is a very nice bottle. It looks attractive on a vanity or nail station, feels heavy and substantial, and doesn’t come across as cheap packaging at all.Bottom line: A genuinely effective nail dehydrator that improved adhesion for my press-ons and gel applications, offers excellent value for the money, but requires more storage space than you might expect.Who this is for: Anyone who regularly uses press-on nails, nail glue, adhesive tabs, or gel products and wants better adhesion than they get from alcohol prep alone.

Azure Beauty is a great affordable nail brand! This dehydrator and primer combo worked well for me! I have other Azure Beauty products and I absolutely love their bottles! They are so unique! The bottles are also very large! This combo is a good quality dehydrator and primer combo! Very low odor, easy to apply, and the amount you get is unmatched by rival brands! The consistency is exactly what you’d expect, it works more like a dehydrator, not leaving as much of the layer that primer typically does. However, it worked very well! The color is clear so it won’t interfere with any nail art. The price is great! Especially for the amount you receive, the price is fantastic! You’re getting great value for your money! I highly recommend this product. My nails lasted the full two weeks. I’m very happy and like this brand a lot!

I keep trying to find a nail dehydrator and nail prepper that keeps my polish adhering to my nails and not peeling. It seems a little better than nothing, but wasn’t the cure all solution I was hoping for. I appreciate that it didn’t damage my nails, with the nail strengthener that’s included. It’s a good value for the money. It didn’t add much time to my process, drying quickly and easy to use, so I think I’ll try it a while longer to see if there’s any noticeable difference over time.

I chose this AZUREBEAUTY 3-in-1 dehydrator/primer because I liked the idea of combining nail prep and nourishing ingredients into one step. The bottle design is a little unusual compared to standard nail products, but I actually found it charming. It reminds me of vintage nail lacquer bottles with the removable wand style top. One downside is that the taller shape doesn’t fit neatly into some standard nail storage organizers. I see in other reviews it’s hard for some people to open. I didn’t have that issue but I can see it being one.The packaging arrived shrink wrapped. Yay for sanitary new product proof. The application process is standard: buff and clean nails, apply the product, let it dry briefly, then continue with base coat and gel application as usual.The formula has a strong acetone smell and applies with a thin traditional brush. It leaves behind a slight oily or conditioning residue instead of the completely dry feel I normally expect from a dehydrator. I understand that’s likely due to the nourishing ingredients, but for me it actually reduced retention rather than improving it.I had better adhesion results using my regular straight acetone dehydrator. This may work better for people with very dry or brittle nails, but on my nails it didn’t perform as well as a traditional prep product.This is marketed as HEMA-free and nourishing. People with allergies NEED transparency with ingredients, but I couldn’t find a full ingredient list on the packaging, bottle, or listing. Rufus didn’t even have it.EDIT: I found it! Under the Amazon sticker on the box. Great place to slap that…ugh. No HEMA listed! No acids. Dehydrators and oils. Isopropyl alcohol, ethylacetate, isobutylacetate, methylpropanediol, squalane, hydrogenated jojoba oil.
