These are a must-have item for your fancy bun-making! Use a band and pins.
Sized small to large. Filled sponge material in a strip, closed at ends with a snap closure. The snap closure is not easy to close, but it is effective. I love how you will put your hair up into a ponytail, roll your hair up toward the top of the head, and then bring your bun-maker ends around the back/open side and snap. Then you can arrange your hair around the remainder of the bun and use some clips to secure it. I use small U-shaped bobby pins; I got a set of 200 with 50% small and 50% large-sized. Overall, these are great. Getting pins is a great idea, yet I saw other bun-makers with U-shaped pins and rubber bands. It is a thing. I like to see it all as a set.These are great for weddings, graduations, or everyday use. There are sets that have white ones that match blonde hair. These are black, which is fine. I have a blondish-gray color, but these will do fine. I would gift this with other hair items, like hair spray, fancy pins, and barrettes. Spraying your bun to fasten stray hairs and make the bun look more even and smooth is a great idea. And it will last the longest. It took me quite a while to get my hair shampooed after all the hairdresser put in my hair for my wedding 30 years ago. Worth it, but a pain. These make a pretty hairdo done up in specific, special ways. I would see videos on the internet. These are not instructions specific to styling your hair using these.These are a must-have item for your fancy bun-making!Enjoy!

The instructions show how to use these like a traditional hair donut. These bun makers are better and easier than a traditional donut if you know how to do it the right way.The first step is the same: put the hair in a ponytail. From there, you want to put the open bun maker at the end of the ponytail (either over or under depending on preference), wrap the ends of the hair over it, and then slowly roll the bun maker and the hair up the length of the ponytail until you reach the base. Then curve the ends of the bun maker around the elastic, snap it closed, and adjust the hair around the bun as needed. This keeps all the ends tucked into the bun without needing a bunch of pins. You can add an elastic around the base if you want, but it often isn’t necessary. The end result is a very neat, secure ballerina bun.The different sizes are great for different hair lengths, thicknesses, and for different styles. The snaps are secure and the texture helps to keep the hair from slipping.

Disappointing.
I ordered these thinking it would be an easier way to get my hair up in a bun. It works, but it isn’t that easy to do it, at least for me. I think it would be easier if someone else was putting the bun maker in my hair. One issue that I had with these tools is that they are HUGE. Even the “small” one is pretty large. You would have to have tons of dark hair to cover up the real estate on these bun makers. I just don’t have that much hair so it didn’t work for me.

These are great. The material really grips my slippery hair, the snap button is strong and the thickness is just right. Love the different length options (for different thickness, maybe?) My hair is thin and the shortest one worked great. Eyeglasses for scale!
