Nice shampoo, but they recommend mixing it with your shampoo
I like this Batana Shampoo for Scalp Care. The bottle is small compared to other shampoos, but it’s a nice shampoo. It leaves my hair soft and shiny. I like that it’s made with natural ingredients, including organic Batana oil. My hair is thin, but needs to be washed daily. I like that this shampoo is gentle enough for daily use and that it’s moisturizing, but I found it odd that the shampoo instructions say: for best results, mix with your shampoo. I was hoping for a one-product shampoo solution.

Fantastic for damaged, brittle hair
I have very over processed, damaged hair at the moment, too much bleach and toner. My hair is also super coarse and thick and very wavy naturally. I love Batana oil products in general because they are great for returning moisture and texture to chemically damaged hair. I was surprised when I first used it because it has a very strong albeit pleasant floral scent to it. Batana oil itself smells a lot like coffee beans and chocolate, very earthy and very distinct. I like the smell but a lot of people do not. This has zero of that earthy scent to it, it just smells like clean, floral shampoo, which is a bonus to anyone that hates the smell of Batana.This comes in a very small bottle, almost travel sized but its very concentrated as well. You need very little to wash with, even with my super thick hair I need about a dime sized amount to wash fully. It doesn’t really foam/lather at all but it does leave your hair very clean and moisturized. I was confused initially by the instructions as it actually tells you to MIX it with your regular shampoo. From what I can tell this is just a poor translation because this is legitimately a full shampoo per the ingredients. Its all natural and does not contain detergents so its very gentle and does not strip the oils from your hair but it does leave it clean. This may be intended as a sort of “co-washing” shampoo, to be used in conjunction with a periodic clarifying shampoo.I really like how soft and wavy it leaves my hair. It looks much more healthy when washed with this than traditional shampoos.

Shampoo additive
I thought this was a travel-size shampoo, but the directions say that for best results, add to your shampoo, so it’s a bit confusing. Overall, the additive has a nice scent, and after adding to my shampoo, my hair was clean, soft, and manageable. While I like this product, I’m a little wary with two different directions.

Smells amazing
I absolutely am in LOVE with this shampoo! It’s simply put…AMAZING! Not only do you not have to worry about it hurting your colored hair it smells amazing! It takes just a super small amount to give a luxurious feeling while washing. This is now going to be my new go to! And by the way, did I mention that it makes your hair super soft? Yep, it sure does!

Nice shampoo – very small bottle
This shampoo is very moisturizing. I you have ever used batana oil on you hair, you know that is it great for your hair and scalp but can be very thick and oily. Your hair will never look better but if you already have oily hair, using batana oil and this shampoo may be too much and leave your hair rather limp. The shampoo comes in a super small bottle and you can be the judge of value… I don’t make assumptions about what people should value. The scent is rather floral and stronger than I thought it would be. Batana oil normally smells very nutty and kind of chocolatey, but any true batana scent has been overpowered with the fragrance they added.

Unique Herbal Scent
Batana oil has been really popular lately, it seems. I know it is good for your hair, but I’ve never used any products with it. I was in the market for a new shampoo, and ran across this one, so decided to see what all the fuss is about. I believe this is an additive for your primary shampoo. The instructions are a bit confusing and say to add it to your shampoo, even though I thought this was a shampoo unto itself. Either way, it says to mix with another shampoo so I did. It did a good job of cleaning my hair. The bottle is very small, like travel size, so if you have long hair like I do, it really isn’t going to last very long. The smell is tolerable, but nothing I’d jump through hoops to get. This shampoo did its job, but wasn’t anything spectacular.
