Great soap “sampler”

Here in Colorado it has been really dry and we all have dry hands…plus a few members of our family get eczema on their hands with the dry conditions. We have actually noticed a difference in our hands since using this Bath and Body Works moisturizing hand soap compared to our normal brand of foaming soap. It is really nice getting one of each scent if you haven’t used this brand of soap so you can choose the one you like the best, or so you can accommodate family members with different preferences. All of the scents smell really good to me and these have a much higher amount of fragrance compared to other cheaper soaps. This is high quality soap that is gentle and moisturizing and works really well for our family. At the time of this review the 5 pack is significantly cheaper per ounce than buying the single scent 3 packs so this seems like a good deal, but is still significantly more than our concentrated foaming soap that we typically use…it might be worth a long term switch to see if our skin conditions clear up.

Possibly the best soaps ever. Especially the vanilla. My hands are soo soft and moisturized and the scent is so subtly powerful and long lasting. You get such a great lather no matter how dirty your hands are. I work in the garden and come in all muddy and filthy and this soap gets me so clean so fast so easily. I hardly have to scrub it’s that effective. My hands rarely look all dried out like they would with other soaps. They look soft and moisturized. And for the price you pay for these I definitely getting more. You get so much actual good working soap for so little money. It’s the best!! I highly recommend these!!

Heavily fragranced soaps, interesting scents, no SLS, good pH

The product represents a nice set of hand soaps with 5 different fragrances. Soaps come in plastic bottles with a pump-type dispensers. Dispensers work very well, allowing a small dosage. The soaps appear as a milky-white pearly liquid of medium cream-like viscosity. The soaps are intensively perfumed/fragranced. So, if you like strong and distinct fragrances in hand soaps — this set might be a scent adventure for you.There are five scents in this set, label on each bottle has more detail on fragrance notes than description on the product webpage:- Mango & coconut milk: “juicy mango, creamy coconut milk & soft vanilla” — it’s my favorite soap here, the scent is more moderate, I couldn’t detect any mango, but the passion fruit scent is clear, distinct, and very pleasant here- Cozy vanilla almond: “vanilla orchid, sugared almond & sweet musk” — for me, it’s a very strong scent more like floral orchid with heavy musk notes, it’s overwhelming for me- Cucumber & lily: “fresh cucumber, green tea & lily of the valley” — for me, strong scent of lily is dominating here, with no trace of cucumber and green tea scents- Kitchen lemon: “zesty lemon, sparkling citrus & Italian bergamot” — for me, strong bergamot is the dominating scent here- Sweet lavender: “wild lavender, calming jasmine & tonca bean” — for me, jasmine and tonca are dominating here, practically no lavender scent here.Therefore, it is an interesting offer to try different scents, which turns out that I would like to repeat only mango&coconut scent here, others are too strong or my non-favored scents (like lily, jasmine, and bergamot).The product description says that soaps offers a gentle cleansing and even some moisturizing effects to the skin.INGREDIENTS (for mango soap):Water (Aqua, Eau), Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Cocoyl Glycinate, Glycerin, Petrolatum, Sodium Lauroyl Isethionate, Fragrance (Parfum), Hydroxypropyl Bis-Hydroxyethyldimonium Chloride, Hydroxypropyl Starch Phosphate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Hydroxyacetophenone, Phenoxyethanol, Coco-Glucoside, Glyceryl Oleate, Glycol Distearate, Caprylyl Glycol, Undecylenoyl Xanthan Gum, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Palmitic Acid, Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate, Stearic Acid, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter Extract, Polyquaternium-10, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Sodium Hydroxide, Citric Acid, Citrus Aurantium Peel Oil, Limonene, Geranyl Acetate, Vanillin, Linalyl Acetate, Citral.The ingredient list looks identical for all soaps from the list’s top until Citric Acid, with some variety at the list’s end. So, formula looks better than most standard liquid soaps based on SLS/SLES, here main surfactants are Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Cocoyl Glycinate, which are considered milder than SLS. For some moisturizing effects, the soaps contain glycerin, petrolatum (I don’t like), shea butter extracts, aloe leaf juice and vitamin E. Again, it is better than a lot of hand soaps and body washes in low-to-mid price range. There are also pH adjusters to move pH to a better zone (actually, pH is close to neutral 6-7 here).The soap texture is creamy and silky, it is pleasant to use. It provides very moderate lather, it rinses off easily leaving light scent on the skin.
