PRO’s:1. Costs about 1/2 to 2/3’rds as much as most competitors.2. Makes beard softer.3. Nice pleasant scent, not too strong.4. Can is easy to open and work with.CON’s:1. This is advertised as a “beard balm”, but it really isn’t. Pretty every beard balm on the market contains some amount of wax, either as the primary ingredient or at least somewhere near the top. This product is wax-free. So nearly zero usefulness for styling, hold, flyaway control, etc. It’s JUST a softener.2. I’d call it a “beard butter”, but it doesn’t really feel like any beard butter on the market either. Beard butter usually has the texture and feel of cake frosting, and sorta disappears into the hair as it’s absorbed. This is far more oily, with a texture similar to Vaseline, and never really fully absorbs. My wife complains because when she touches my face hours later she’s still getting oil on her hand.Bottom line… if you just want a cheap conditioner, and aren’t worried about control or residue, then this could be a good option for you. But if you’re shopping for beard balm for the usual styling reasons, or you don’t want an oily face, then it’s probably worth spending a couple bucks more.

Not a balm but a good product regardless
This is a very good beard product and should be apart of your consideration when buying a beard moisturizer but this is NOT a balm. The actual product contains some really good oils that are good for hydration while there is no wax. The butter just melts in your hands and allows you to apply it evenly without leaving behind patches or globs. I apply it a few minutes after I use my beard oil and the combination makes the beard soft and semi manageable. It smells good as a bonus. The value for this product is good even though it is misrepresented.
