This is a pretty well rounded beard grooming kit. I liked the smell of the balm and moisturizer. They weren’t super strong and didn’t feel greasy.The tools were pretty good, my favorite being the comb which is just the right size to take with you almost anywhere. I bring the foldable comb with me to work. It’s convenient to keep at the desk. The credit card sized ‘wooden’ comb is also pretty great.I think this would make a great gift for that bearded man in your life.

Great Grooming Products, But a Disastrous Packaging Flaw
I am giving this set 3 stars because, while the majority of the products are excellent, a severe packaging flaw made the unboxing experience very disappointing.The included beard wash opened in transit and covered everything inside the box. This unfortunately caused the metal pieces (the cuticle nippers and scissors) to be corroded and rusty straight out of the box. Given that this is positioned as a gift set (and a pricy one at that), this is a huge deal-breaker. If I were receiving this, I would be bummed, and if I were giving it, I would be embarrassed. The beard wash needs to be sealed prior to packaging to prevent this.Review of Individual Items:- Beard Wash/Balm/Oil: These products are very nice. The wash is gentle and cleans the beard effectively. The oil is light and doesn’t feel heavy, and the balm is just stiff enough to provide some hold without bogging down your beard. I highly appreciate that none of these products are scented, as I find heavily scented items tend to overwhelm you all day.- Brush/Combs: The brush is very soft, which might appeal to those with lighter beards, but I have a thicker beard and prefer a stronger brush to get deep down. The combs are fine and work well for product distribution.- Tools: While these items feel like “throw-ins” to justify the price, the scissors and cuticle trimmers are of nice quality; they feel hefty and durable. The roller is a standard microneedle type if that is something you use its standard, and the bag is simply functional, nothing special there.Overall Conclusion:The overall packaging is very nice, it has a great presence as a gift and needs no wrapping. The core grooming products are likewise nice and work well.However, the unsealed wash contaminating everything is a deal breaker for me, especially at this price point. If the manufacturer does not address this packaging flaw, I would consider other similar sets as a better, safer choice for gifting.
