While the green outer packaging could be a little more refined, the products themselves have an upscale appearance that makes the set feel gift-worthy.Inside, you get two beard oils, a beard balm, a wooden comb, a wooden brush, and a pair of trimming scissors, covering just about everything needed for a complete beard care routine.The beard oils were the highlight for me. They have a light cedarwood-inspired scent that smells natural rather than artificial, and it fades fairly quickly instead of lingering all day. More importantly, the oils soften and moisturize the beard without leaving it greasy, absorbing well into the hair while helping tame thicker, curlier textures.The beard balm complements the oils nicely by adding light styling control. Its beeswax-based formula provides enough hold to keep stray hairs in place while still feeling smooth and easy to work through the beard. It leaves a subtle healthy sheen without making the beard look overly shiny.The included comb and brush are solid everyday accessories. The wooden comb feels sturdy, and the brush’s medium-firm bristles do a good job distributing the oils and balm evenly throughout the beard. The scissors are useful for trimming individual stray hairs, although they aren’t quite robust enough for cutting through larger sections of thicker beard hair at once.There were a couple of minor drawbacks. One of the oil droppers didn’t fill as consistently as the other, suggesting a possible quality control issue with that particular bottle. I’ve had a beard for years, never used beard products
I decided to give this a shot, since I have never used anything like it despite having had a beard for the last 20 years. It’s grown out, I typically keep it a specific length, but after a couple weeks of using this every day, I’m starting to think about other prospects.The wood comb is very effective at removing tangles and it isn’t hard on the skin underneath. The scissors are reasonably sharp, or at least they were. I have very coarse hair, so I have had to battle to keep them sharp, by running them through a scissor sharpener pretty much every time I go to use them. To that end, they could have been made a little bit more durable, and I know that because I have some German made sewing scissors of identical size, and those can go through hell before I have to sharpen them.The beard balm and brush I haven’t used much, because that’s more for styling decisions and mine isn’t really long enough to do anything with it yet. The beard oil, though (called “beard vitamin” on the bottle) I have used every day after a shower, and it seems like my hair feels a little less abrasive. Both the balm and oil have a slight and pleasant fragrance to them that is not overpowering even though it is right on your face. It’s hard to describe what it smells like. Typical aftershave kind of smell but with a woody twist.It was something new for me so I tried it out…and actually the oil, or just the fact that I make it a point to fuss over my beard every day, seems to be having enough of an effect that I think I might actually be able to grow it out without it becoming a tangled mess that looks and feels horrible.

I’ve had a beard for 20 years and finally decided to try a proper grooming kit. First impressions are great the gold bottles and tins look expensive and classy on the dresser, though the green outer box packaging could be a bit better presented if you’re giving it as a gift.The beard oil (labeled “beard vitamin”) and the balm work wonders. They have a very nice, light, and pleasant woody fragrance that isn’t overpowering right under your nose. The oil absorbs completely without leaving a greasy residue, and it has made my normally coarse, abrasive beard hair feel significantly softer and more moisturized.The wooden comb and boar bristle brush are excellent for detangling without scratching the skin underneath, and they do a great job distributing the product evenly.I knocked off one star for two minor quality issues. First, the stainless steel trimming scissors aren’t quite durable enough for very coarse hair; they dull quickly, and I find myself needing to sharpen them almost every time I use them to keep a precise cut. Second, one of the oil dropper bulbs doesn’t suction fully, only filling up about halfway. It’s not a dealbreaker since the other one works fine, but worth noting.Overall, it’s a high-quality, versatile kit that has actually inspired me to grow my beard out longer. Definitely a great value for daily maintenance!

These make a wonderful gift. The gold bottles and tins look expensive, and classy.The beard oil and the balm work really well on course hair. They have a nice, light, and pleasant woody fragrance that isn’t overpowering even for my very sensitive husband’s nose.The oil absorbs completely without leaving a greasy residue. There wasn’t any irritation.It also comes with a wooden comb and boar bristle brush.
