Frustrating to use + chemical burn
As an experienced user of cold wax strips and similar products, I’ll skip the paragraph explaining all of the protocol and prevention I used and get to it.These strips are significantly less sturdy than other brands. Paper thin. Once you peel it to place it, it literally curls up and then you get into a frustrating “how do I keep the baby hairs out of my face while using both hands to place these, which of course are also covering half my view while I use jenga-like precision while getting the wax stuck to my fingers” situation. I gave up and used just a small section on a tiny bit under my brow so it wasn’t a total waste. I’m so glad I did just that and not try to keep using these on more of my skin. I’ll get there shortly.The calming wipes also confused me. I opened one up and it fell on the floor. Like, flew out like a slippery eel. Weird, but ok, I open another one and it’s got a stiff, strange consistency. I then realize it’s basically an oil type of wipe. It felt gross to swipe it over my skin, but the wax was stubborn to get off without it.Flash forward about an hour. Within the hour I’d been touching and fussing with my skin, simply thinking I was a little tender because I missed some wax or I was a little too rough in my frustration wiping it off. Eventually even the slightest touch became a fiery h3ll. After running to a mirror, I see my right brow arch on the super sensitive underside, is bright red and inflamed. I gently tried to rinse it a bit and pat it dry. But holy fire, this is uncomfortable and painful.The internet was no help. Half of it said use XYZ, the other half said UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE PUT XYZ ON IT! Not wanting to screw myself more, since I can’t exactly bandage it without having to somehow not pull out eyebrow hair or get sticky bandage ON the burny boo boo, I settled on doing nothing but rinsing it clean, and praying my body would just intuit NOT to roll to my right side and smush my face accidentally into the pillow and rub up on it. 3:32am now and I can’t fall asleep out of sheer paranoia.Not sure what part of this product is made for sensitive skin, but it’s deceptive if that’s what happened to my average skin. Seems based on other reviews with this occurring, it may be the oil wipe. Either way I don’t plan to find out and I’m returning this torture device first thing in the morning.

I don’t have thick, bushy eyebrows at all. Mine are super light and pretty low-maintenance. I usually just get them done every couple of months at a salon, and honestly, that’s more out of habit than necessity. But when the price suddenly doubled, I figured I’d try this kit.I’m really glad I did, because it works wonders!The strips come in pairs (each strip is actually a pair stuck together, one for each eyebrow), and you just warm them up in your hands for about 30 seconds, then peel them apart. They’re VERY sticky. I held one in my teeth by the unsticky end while placing the other. They do curl a bit, which made me nervous at first, but they didn’t stick to themselves as long as I handled them carefully.Once on, I pressed them down for about 30 seconds, then yanked them off as instructed while holding my skin tight. They definitely do the job. What surprised me most is how sticky they are. You can actually reuse the same strip a couple of times if you miss any hairs. Just be sure to tie back your hair if it’s long because everything will stick to these.There’s also a second set of strips for above the brow, and I even reused those for the space between my eyebrows with no problem.Yes, you’ll have some sticky residue left afterward, but the wipes included take that right off. There are only four wipes though, so I tried baby oil and it worked just as well if you run out of wipes.All together, the kit gives you 6 below-brow and 6 above-brow strips, and since each strip splits into two for each eye. For me, that equals about 6 salon trips, which saving me around $72 for less than $10.Overall, super easy to use, works really well, and totally worth it, especially if your brows are more on the low-maintenance side like mine.

These wax strips are convenient if you’re looking for an easy at-home option for eyebrow touch-ups. They’re simple to use and come ready to go, which saves time compared to traditional wax.Pros:Easy to use with no heating required.Convenient for quick eyebrow maintenance.Good value with plenty of strips included.Gentle enough for light facial hair.Cons:Didn’t remove all of the hair in one pass, so I had to go over a few areas more than once.The strips could be a little stickier for coarse or stubborn hairs.Results weren’t quite as clean as a professional wax.Overall, they work well enough for small touch-ups and are convenient to keep on hand, but I don’t think they replace a salon-quality wax. I’d use them again for quick maintenance, but there is definitely room for improvement.

Worth repurchasing
I like that these have a pre shaped arch so I don’t have to fiddle with cutting them to size. I do find them a little awkward to fit around my brow bone near the nose since I have a high bridge and deep set eyes. I wish the part under the arch was a little wider since I grow brow hairs fairly far down my eyelid and I have to go in and clean several hairs up with tweezers after.

Do yourself a favor and order these!!! No more 15 mins of tedious, painful plucking with tweezers. This was so fast and easy. I only plucked a few stragglers when I was finished. Left almost no wax residue. The calming oil wipe took off the tiny bit of leftover. The oil wipes are very oily though and the paper is rough. Could do without those. But the wax strips are an A+ I can’t believe I’ve been living this long without them. Save yourself time and coin and get these. They really didn’t hurt too bad to peel off.
