Surprised
I was pleasantly surprised. The balm does have a cool sensation, but the citrus smell is wonderful. Given the lower price than department store balms, I was expecting to have to use more of it for each application. Not the case. It is indeed less expensive per application. I will use other balms to get variety, but Billy Jealousy Shaved Ice will continue to be part of my rotation.

Billy Jealousy Shaved Ice After-Shave Balm
I ordered this aftershave balm because it had won a number of awards given out by Men’s Health Magazine and I can see why! This balm smells great, and absorbs quickly and cools and sooths my face after shaving. The scent is citrus. The company donates a portion of its profits to what they call “Human needs- the environment and the arts.” Nothing wrong with that! The seller Luxury4Him was unbelievable and they only took three days to deliver after my order, and the shipping/handling was free. Fantastic.

The Best After-Shave! Period.
Having tried just about every other aftershave product on the market with little luck, I stumbled onto Billy Jealousy after reading the reviews here on Amazon. I gave the Shaved Ice Balm a chance a year ago and have never looked back. This is the only aftershave that leaves me without bumps or irritation. The more you use it, the better your skin feels and appears. Although costly, it is well worth it as you will avoid the irritation that comes from shaving.

GREAT STUFF
I used a different skin care line for years, and recently tried just the hydroplane shave cream, and now I use the full Billy Jealousy line. Trust me, this is great stuff. I have super sensitive skin, and after I shave- no nicks,cuts, or irritation. If it works for me, I’m sure it would probably work for you.And not to stray from the point, but Gillette fusion pro glide is the best razor there is- trust me again, I’ve tried them all.And no, I don’t get a commission if you buy that razor- LOL

Thick and very cooling
I really wanted to like this after shave. But, after going through the entire tube, I don’t think I’d buy another one. I mean, it’s OK, and others may surely like it more than I did. For me, it’s just too thick – it comes out like hair gel, and I feel like I have to wash my hands after I use it. It’s strongly menthol – bracing in the morning, for sure. It’s also really expensive, especially given how it dumps out of the tube.It’s a decent aftershave; you can do far worse. I also find that, for me, I can do better as well.

I can see why Men’s Magazine rated this price little item, “Best Splurge”. It’s great after a hot shower and shave to remoisturize your face. The “icy” sensation it leaves behind is slightly stinging, but refreshing (it won’t cause severe pain like some cheaper antishaves with higher alcohol contents). Excellent for sanitizing shaved skin and preventing “shaving pimples” from popping up. Would definitely recommend as a gift for a boyfriend/husband. 3oz isn’t much for the price, but a little goes a long way.

One of the best around
The two products that really stand out from the Billy Jealousy line is the Hydroplane Shave Cream (The best shave ever by a long mile), and the Shaved Ice After-Shave Balm (The best I have used).This after shave is mosturising and has a very nice cooling sensation to it. The nice cooling feel is very refreshing, yet it does not burn even when I place it on skin that was nicked (it actually soothe it). Neither is it a weak minimalistic cool. It is a moderately strong refreshing “cool” (Just right) without any burning sensation that you get with some liquid after shave products–yet it last longer, and mosturizes. I love it very much. Unlike some of those who gave it negative reviews, I did not find this sticky in any way, nor did the cooling effect last too long. It is perfect if you want a 5 minute non-burning cool.I love this product and will likely get it again.

My Favorite Right Now
Seems like I am on the hunt to perfect my shaving routine. I have tried so many different after shaves from Clinique, Jack Black, Clarins…the list goes on and on. I even tried a new one AFTER using and loving this (sign of addiction?). And I am right back here. It could moisturize a little bit better, but that is a nit pick. It heals my skin right after I shave and my skin feels cool and tight. A good test is if cologne hits your skin right after and you don’t wince. I don’t with this product and do with others.The only downside is the packaging. Squeezing out some onto your palm is too inconsistent. Sometimes its a little, other times a LOT. And since it can’t go back in the bottle some gets wasted.

Annoying to open, not cooling
Internal bottle cap was very difficult to remove, the paper came off but left the plastic backing on the opening.Once open, the ‘ice cooling gel’ doesn’t provide any cooling at all.Wouldn’t buy again or recommend.
