Stiff, heavy, but does give texture
I like it for giving my fine limp hair some texture and body but it doesn’t necessarily add much volume that lasts. I dislike the scent and if I use more than a light pass through my hair it’s like I sprayed that drywall texture you get for when you’ve repaired a hole in your drywall and you’re covering it with that sprayable knockdown texture—that stuff is exactly what this is like for me. But a light application of it does give some body which is what it’s supposed to do so…Edit: I actually used only this yesterday on my hair, I realized I had put absolutely nothing on it and my hair without even mouse or anything dries down and will be like limp fine silky ribbon with zero volume or body. That’s what I had yesterday so I gave a pass through with this boldify dry texture and it did indeed give it nice volume and body. I still really don’t like the scent and too much of it is like drywall texture but the right amount of it does exactly what it promises. So far I’m very happy with all the Boldify products I’ve tried. I just got their root lifting product so I’ll be trying that next and have good reason to expect good performance from that one too.

Gives pin straight hair some texture and volume!
This product is great. For almost 10 years I have been growing my extremely long, thick, and PIN STRAIGHT hair out. I recently chopped it all off and really want to get new textures and volume that I haven’t had for so long. I looked into tons of texturizing and some wax sprays, but decided on this one for the price and reviews. I don’t regret it at all. Gives me tons of volume, a tousled “don’t care” look if I want it, and holds while still having a lot of flexibility and movement. My family kept saying “I can’t believe your hair can even have that much volume!” Downsides: I don’t mind the smell at all, I think it’s kind of pleasant, but it might be a bit too strong or artificial smelling for some. It also won’t hold forever, especially if you have naturally super straight hair and no volume (like me!). Make sure to spray it far enough away from your hair (it recommends how many inches) or your hair will be sticky, but that’s really with any spray like this. Overall for what it does I would give it a 4/5, but the price compared to other products that do the exact same thing or less makes it like a 6/5 for me!!

What are you waiting for?
As I’ve gotten older my fine hair has started thinning. I’ve been so unhappy and was trying everything and nothing was working. I like the Boldify thickening spray and serum and it works better than most, but I was still needing to use hair mousse for some lift/volume. I ran out of my regular hair spray and was browsing on-line when I found this dry texture spay. While not a hair spray, I decided to try it even though every other texture spray/dry shampoo seemed to weigh my hair down even further.THIS DRY TEXTURE SPRAY feels great in my hair and boy does it give your hair volume – and without weighing it down which is a true miracle. My hair looks as full as it did when I was much younger. It’s really amazing. Due to the amount of hair going down my drain, rightly or not, I have reduced the number of times a week I wash my hair, so I don’t have to see so much of it clogging the drain. This dry texture spay works for DAYS and I am not telling a tale. On the third day when I usually break down and wash it, my hair looks freshly washed and as good and full as it did on Day 1.There is nothing that works better and I’ve tried them all. You can find them all in my “cosmetic” closet half to three-quarters full – I always hesitate to pitch them thinking I might try again but my search is truly over. I’m convinced nothing will ever work as well. I sure hope they never stop making this one – that always seems to happen to the best products, but I hope not this time. My fear of it is such that I’m not sure I can stop myself from hoarding it.

I just tried this volumizing spray for the first time. It does give my poka straight hair more volume, but the scent is very strong. In fact I can taste it on my tongue. No, I didn’t spray with my mouth open. The taste came after a bit after I had used it, and has stayed for going on an hour. I can still smell it too, and I didn’t use a lot.Updated: After using this product a few times, the fragrance was not as strong. I’m continuing to use it because it works. I was contacted by seller, saying because I wasn’t satisfied, I could have a refund. No refund needed! Infact, I’ll order it again, and I recommend it for those who want more volume. It’s not sticky…and is working really well on my poka straight hair.

Scent Change Alert
I have bought this product multiple times and was so sad to discover through my most recent purchase that they significantly changed the scent of the product! It used to be a lovely crisp and fresh scent. Now it smells like sickly sweet, cheap perfume. It completely takes the salon-quality luxe feel out of the product. The smell is so overpowering it’s like it’s intended to dually serve as a perfume. Love what the product did for my hair, but I will need to look elsewhere in the future due to the scent.

My hair has found a new freedom. No more hairspray
Fantastic ! No more dusty hands & globs of powder on the floor that came with non-aerosol-shake-into- my hand brands. Is lighter than any other I’ve tried, yet it provides the ‘thickening’ I want. I knew it would be great, so I bought 2 aerosol & 2 pump the first time I bought this, have not run out of the first of them yet. My thin & sparse 77 year old gorgeous white hair suddenly looks full-bodied like never before. It actually imparts a certain shine & softness, without dryness. I have given up hairspray. Good for a Boost, But Best When Paired with Hair Fibers
As a big fan of Boldify, I wanted to share my thoughts on this Dry Texture Spray. While I’ve found that the Boldify Hair Fiber is unbeatable for volumizing, this spray doesn’t quite match up. It does add a bit of volume, but it doesn’t hold for long or make hair look significantly fuller on its own. I’ve been using it alongside the hair fibers, and that’s when it really shines. If you’re considering using it alone, it might not meet your expectations. I’d definitely recommend pairing it with the Boldify Hair Fibers for the best results.

Totally effective
Have fine hair but lots of active follicles. I pursued products for 50 years that might give my “do” a full ,shiny look. Today’s Choices are overwhelmingly numerous and innovative and it’s expensive to keep buying and trying and it’s difficult to cut through the hype. As long as Root Boost is available I’m covered. I’ve used it over two years. This product gives me healthy, shiny and full appearing hair. My hair shade is easily dulled and darkened by products with the matte finish that is common with thickening and volumizing products. Root Boost impartsgreat shine and volumised thickness. If you want a thickener you should get this. It’s a clean product that washes out beautifully and doesn’t seem to build up on my hair.
