    Great shampoo bar! unique shape doubles as a massager for my scalp!

    This shampoo bar is great! The smell is very strong and when in use, it provides a lot of bubbles during wash. I personally like the uniquely designed shape of the soap, not just for the look, but also the pointed edges also second as a pressure point to semi-massage your scalp!It also comes with a little loofah-style bag, which makes rubbing on the scalp more soothing and softer. My hair feels great after using this shampoo bar. I can recommend it!

    Smells great and makes hair soft

    Got this for my boyfriend and he said it made his hair feel soft and moisturized, but he still prefers regular liquid shampoo. We both think it smells really good, definitely more of a masculine scent but could be unisex too. The bag it comes with is also really nice for getting a rich lather without worrying about the bar slipping out of your hands

    Interesting way to package shampoo. Smells great.

    I was intrigued when this came up so I grabbed it. It really is a bar of shampoo like a bar of soap. It smells great and comes in a woven bag you can hang up so it can dry back out without turning to mush.The only note I’ll make on it is I wouldn’t suggest it if you have dry hair as the moisturizing side of it is pretty weak, but the soap side of it is pretty strong and will dry your scalp out a lot. You pretty much HAVE to use conditioner after using this as it will strip all the oils from your hair. But that would be a plus if you tend to have more oily hair, or like right now when it’s hot outside and you’re sweating a lot.

    Very handy and portable shampoo!

    While I wouldn’t traditionally choose a shampoo bar I was very intrigued by the idea for traveling and camping. It’s so easily portable with no risk of spilling which is a huge perk.That said, I had to build up my nerves to try it because a shampoo bar is so odd to me and I was pleasantly surprised. I chose to lather it up in my hands, get a good lather going, and then apply it to my hair. It worked about the same as shampoo and left my hair feeling very clean and soft. It’s not moisturizing but also not drying – so my hair wasn’t left flat from too much moisture and also wasn’t greasy which hopefully will give me more time between shampoos.I think this is a great value and should last awhile!

    Not Sulfate Free

    I was excited to try a castor oil soap bar, especially since I’ve become a fan of shampoo bars, despite my initial reservations. This one checked all of the boxes…healthy ingredients, free from harsh chemicals and chalk full of good for you ingredients…but alas you really, really have to read the fine print. As stated in the descrpition this product has a “Paraben-free, sulfate-free, and silicone-free formula in plastic-free packaging” (as seen in the description online and in the attached screenshot). I took this to mean that the soap bar is free from parabens, sulfates and silicones in plastic-free packaging. But now I believe it means the PACKAGING is plastic-free, paraben-free and sulfate-free because if you look at the back of the box, it clearly lists sodium lauryl sulfate as one of the ingredients. Sodium lauryl sulfate can be harsh on the scalp and can cause dryness and possible irritation because it strips the hair of natural oils. It’s used to help the product lather and remove dirt and oil but the shampoo bar also contains lauric acid which does the same thing without stripping the hair, so it’s redundant to have both. I will still use this bar soap maybe once a month to cleanse my scalp but I really hate that it has sulfates in it because the rest of the ingredients are great.

    Lathers well, smells great and even comes with a bag

    I love that this shampoo bar comes with a bag to put it it…it makes it so much easier to hang to dry and hold on to the soap while using. While the directions say to apply directly to the hair I find it easier to apply to my hands first then apply it to my hair. It lathers well and smells really clean and fresh. The scent doesnt linger strongly on the hair after washing but it does leave a slight fragrance. It rinsed clean and didn’t dry my hair out. It’s not really moisturizing so a conditioner is definitely needed, but I always use one anyway.

    No conditioner needed. My hair felt clean and soft.

    This shampoo bar was easy to use. I just rubbed it all over my wet hair and, then, I add a little bit of water, massage into my hair and I got a great lather. I don’t need a separate conditioner as the soap made my hair clean, smells great and soft. The soap came with a netting so I just use the netting to hang my soap to dry but I use this soap on my hair without the netting.This soap would be great for traveling as I don’t need to carry two bottles, shampoo and conditioner, and I don’t have to worry about the liquid shampoo and/or conditioner spilling on everything. Shampoo bar also uses less waste since there’s no plastic bottles to deal with.Overall, I highly recommend this as it worked beautifully on my hair.

    Good Shampoo

    Shampoo looks odd. Looks like a blue rock. And with what seems to be irregular angled sides.Smells great. A bit perfume-like fragrance. Not overbearing.It is easy to use. Just lather hair like using soap bar. However, I think I still like traditional liquid shampoo.Effective. My hair feels nice and soft after wash, even without conditioner.
