Oil-based. Best with damp hair.
I typically use rosemary oil and biotin as hair serums. I have read about the potential benefits of caffeine on the scalp when it comes to DHT so I got interested and ordered this.MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE PRODUCT1. I received 2 ounces of caffeine hair serum from MegustaMe.2. I like that this smells kind of neutral for me. I am not noticing any smells.3. The consistency is almost like dry oil, but oily nonetheless.4. The greasiness feeling is not noticeable to me if I use it right after a shower. I find it oilier when I just use it on dry hair. It is not sticky.5. It takes about the same amount of time to absorb compared to my rosemary oils.6. I have color-treated hair and I got no issues with this hair oil.7. Since I already use biotin and rosemary oil, it is a bit hard to tell if this has helped. I also got this very recently.OVERALL IMPRESSION: I think that this caffeine hair oil is cost effective and worth its value if you want one that helps with DHT, and if you do not mind oils on your scalp.

Not a DHT Blocker
This hair oil will NOT block DHT. It can support healthier, stronger strands. It can help provide a healthier scalp environment, which may indirectly help with hair growth or shedding. But it WILL NOT block DHT.None of the ingredients listed are known DHT blockers. DHT-blocking ingredients are things like saw palmetto, pumpkin seed oil, caffeine (topically in high concentrations) green tea extract, and rosemary extract specifically in standardized form. This formula only has rosemary oil but research shows diluted essential rosemary oil has not been clinically proven to block DHT. Rosemary oil may help with circulation and mild shedding though. This also contains castor oil, which is thick, making this too oily and thick to use without washing out. It left my hair and scalp in an oily mess. It was impossible to apply this and still have a good-looking style without a greasy scalp look.Once again, the marketing on this is a complete and utter lie. if you want a healthier scalp, this may help. This will not block DHT.

Promising ingredients, but the claims feel a little over the top
I’m always interested in hair/scalp products because my hair is thin, sheds a lot, and gets oily quickly, so the ingredient list on this caught my attention right away. The formula itself actually looks pretty solid overall. I like that it includes ingredients like rosemary oil, castor oil, jojoba oil, caffeine, and vitamin E because those are all commonly associated with scalp health and healthier-looking hair. The oils also helped my scalp feel softer and less dry without making my hair look greasy immediately, which surprised me.That said, I do think some of the listing claims feel exaggerated, especially the “clinically proven” percentages and statements about blocking DHT and regrowing hair. Hair loss is incredibly complex and usually takes months to evaluate properly, so I personally take claims like “98% saw increased volume” with a grain of salt unless there’s more transparent clinical data available.I also think it’s important for buyers to understand that products like this are more of a supportive scalp treatment than a miracle cure for hair loss.Texture-wise, it absorbs fairly well and doesn’t leave a heavy residue if you don’t overapply. The scent is herbal/oil-forward from the rosemary and plant oils but not overpowering.Overall, I think this is a good scalp serum with nourishing ingredients and potential benefits for scalp health and hair strength over time, but I’d recommend going into it with realistic expectations regarding dramatic regrowth claims.

Rich formula
I was not expecting this formula to be so heavy, but I do notice some new baby hairs coming up since I started using it. It works well for scalp massages, but it could definitely be better and I really wish the consistency were a little lighter, though thankfully it does not seem to clog my pores. The smell is not the best either. Overall, it is an okay product, but I wish it came in a more convenient application method, like a lighter oil or a water-based spray.I am giving this hair oil 4 stars because the follicle-activating effectiveness is clearly there, as evidenced by the welcome appearance of new baby hair growth. The rich formula provides decent lubrication for a relaxing scalp massage, and the nutrient-dense ingredients help to deeply nourish the roots. However, the heavy consistency makes application a bit cumbersome, and the less-than-ideal fragrance holds back the overall user experience. While a lighter format would offer better daily convenience, the 60ml bottle still delivers a solid amount of product and fair value for money for targeted thinning treatment.

Good product doesn’t help hair loss but strength
My results with this product have been mixed and it’s hard to tell how effective it is overall. The formula feels lightweight but semi greasy and applies easily to the scalp without making hair greasy, which I do like. It also has a pleasant, natural feel thanks to the oils in the ingredient list. I have noticed hair strength improvement. As for results, I haven’t noticed a dramatic difference in hair growth or reduced shedding yet. It may take longer-term use to see noticeable changes, but so far the effects have been subtle at best. I’m giving it 4 stars as it’s not good to style after and best for pre-wash treatment..Overall, it seems like a decent scalp treatment with good ingredients, but I would say results may vary and are not immediately obvious.

Great hair oil that leaves the scalp feeling refreshed
I decided to try this caffeine hair oil to help with overall scalp health and I am really pleased with the results so far. The applicator makes it very easy to apply directly to the roots without making a huge mess. It has a nice subtle scent and does not leave my hair looking overly greasy if I use the right amount. I have noticed my scalp feels much more nourished and less dry since I started incorporating this into my routine. It feels like a high quality product and I am looking forward to seeing the long term benefits with continued use.

Decent hair oil, but a little too greasy for daily styling
I’ve only used this product a handful of times so far, but I’ve used several other rosemary and scalp oils before, so I do have some comparisons. Overall, I’d say this one falls somewhere in the middle for me.It feels nourishing on the scalp and seems similar to many other hair oils marketed for hair growth and scalp health. I didn’t have any irritation or negative reaction while using it, and the dropper makes it easy to apply directly to the scalp. That said, I personally found this formula to be a bit greasier than some of the other hair oils I’ve tried. I’m also testing it during humid weather, which definitely doesn’t help, but for me this isn’t really a product I’d use before styling my hair or heading out for the day. It works better as more of a “stay home” scalp treatment or overnight oiling situation.I can’t really speak to long-term hair growth results yet since I haven’t used it long enough, but as a general scalp oil it seems fine and does what I would expect. I just wish the finish felt a little lighter on my hair and scalp.Overall, not bad, just not my favorite compared to some lighter-weight hair oils I’ve used.

Caffeine-based Scalp Treatment Oil To Help With Thinning Hair
I’ve been testing the MegustaMe Caffeine Root-Nourishing Hair Oil as a scalp-focused treatment for thinning hair and shedding. This product is to support hair growth, help reduce DHT-related hair loss, and improve scalp condition over time.Caffeine is the main active ingredient, and caffeine is supposed to activate hair follicles, extend the hair growth phase, and support scalp nourishment. The oil itself is medium-thick and spreads easily across the scalp. It will leave the hair greasy in the areas applied, so I recommend applying this oil at night and letting it soak in. Put a towel on your pillow so the oil doesn’t stain any of your pillowcases. This oil is best applied directly to the scalp and avoid getting the oil on or through hair lengths, as the solution needs to be concentrated solely on the scalp. There is a light scent and I’d describe it as coffee/herbal-leaning.As for results, it’s only been a few weeks and I haven’t noticed any changes or improvements yet. This is the kind of product that requires long-term regular (daily) use and a lot of patience, as any improvement will take 3 to 6 months, at least. This product is focused on scalp maintenance, reducing dryness, and supporting healthier-looking hair over time rather than providing any immediate hair thickening effect. I have hope I’ll see some improvement as I do have moderate, diffuse thinning on the scalp.
