One Tool That Replaced Half My Hair-Styling Drawer
I’ve tried enough hair tools over the years to know that “3-in-1” can sometimes mean three mediocre tools awkwardly shoved into one package. So when I picked up the Calista EliteAir, I was curious to see if it could actually replace a few of the things currently taking up space in my bathroom. The first thing I noticed is the size. It’s surprisingly compact for everything it can do. It doesn’t feel like I’m holding a giant salon machine over my head, and the lightweight design makes a big difference when I’m drying and styling my hair for any length of time. My arms definitely appreciate not having to participate in an upper-body workout every time I wash my hair.Despite the smaller size, this thing has some serious power behind it. The airflow is strong enough to dry my hair quickly without feeling completely out of control, and having two speeds and three heat settings makes it easy to dial things in depending on what I’m doing. I also really like having the cool shot button for setting the finished style. The attachments are where this really earns its place. The two curling barrels make it easy to create curls going in either direction, and the brush attachment works for smoothing, adding volume, or creating that bouncy blowout look. Switching between the attachments is quick and uncomplicated, which is important because I’m not interested in turning hair styling into an engineering project.I’ve also been impressed with the overall quality. Everything feels sturdy and well made rather than lightweight in the cheap-plastic sense. The attachments fit securely, the controls feel solid, and the tool doesn’t have that flimsy feeling I’ve experienced with some budget styling tools. Even though it’s compact, it feels like an actual quality hair tool rather than a novelty gadget. The ionic technology also seems to help with frizz and leaves my hair looking smoother and shinier after styling. I have hair that can get a little unruly, so anything that helps me get a polished finish without spending an eternity with a round brush gets bonus points from me.The only thing I’d keep in mind is that because this is designed to be versatile, it may take a little practice to figure out which attachment and technique works best for your hair. I didn’t immediately become a professional blowout artist the first time I picked it up, but once I got comfortable with the attachments, styling became much easier.I also appreciate the removable filter because it makes cleaning and maintaining the dryer much less annoying. It’s one of those little details that doesn’t sound exciting until you’ve owned a hair dryer that slowly becomes a lint-and-hair museum.Overall, I’m genuinely impressed with the Calista EliteAir. It’s compact and lightweight without sacrificing power, the attachments are useful rather than gimmicky, and the quality feels appropriate for a higher-end styling tool. For around $159, it’s definitely an investment, but considering that it combines a dryer, curling tool, and blowout brush into one device, I think it makes a lot of sense for someone who wants to simplify their hair-tool collection without sacrificing performance. For me, this is a very easy 5 stars. It’s powerful, versatile, well made, and actually enjoyable to use, which is more than I can say for some of the hair tools I’ve accumulated over the years.

Handy CALISTA EliteAir Hair Dryer, 3-in-1
This 3-in-1 Hair Dryer comes with a user manual. It has 3 attachments that are easy to put on. They click in place and stay put until you are ready to remove one. Then just push down on the little switch on the back. My hair is shoulder length. It is very straight and typically doesn’t frizz. I found that the curling barrel attachments worked best with my hair. One curls to the right and the other curls to the left. I turned on the hair dryer and put it near my hair and my hair curled around the barrel. What resulted was a nice curl. The brush attachment is a bit big for my hair. I wasn’t able to get it to accomplish what the barrel attachments did on my hair. Although this hair dryer isn’t portable for travel, it isn’t too heavy. The electric cord is approximately 6 feet long. This hair dryer and its attachments feel sturdy. In the manual, it mentions to twist the cover off the filter for cleaning. I twisted and twisted and then discovered that it comes off easily by just pulling it down. It appears to stay on by what feels like a little magnet. Compared to similar products, I think that this hair dryer is priced a little on the high side.

Better products out there
I really wanted to like this set. The adjustable temperature and fan speeds is great. I was looking for a product to that had temperature specific settings to avoid damage to hair with regular use. Unfortunately, I found the bristles were too abrasive and causing damage. Just a heads up for any fine hair ladies.

Beautiful Blowout and Curls – One Feature Missing at $159
I’ve used several multi-stylers that promise to dry, smooth, volumize and curl, and some have been considerably more complicated to use than they needed to be. The Calista EliteAir was surprisingly intuitive, particularly the curling barrels. My hair is thin although I have a lot, so I appreciate the ceramic barrels and the ability to control both airflow and temperature. There are two air speeds, with three temperature settings for each: 85°F, 120°F and 175°F on low, and 85°F, 130°F and 195°F on high. The temperature is shown on the digital display, and holding the temperature button for three seconds activates the Cool Shot.I started with damp, towel-dried hair, sprayed on a hair protector and used the oval brush for my blowout. It smoothed my hair, reduced the frizz and gave it considerably more volume and bounce. I used my usual styling after styling to achieve the finished look I prefer. The curling barrels were the pleasant surprise. I’ve used air stylers that require me to hold the tool awkwardly while trying to feed the ends of my hair into the airflow. These were much easier for me. Each barrel has an arrow indicating the airflow direction, and Calista recommends curling away from the face, which is how I normally curl my hair anyway. When I bring the ends of a section near the barrel, the airflow gently attracts the hair and wraps it around the barrel. It feels much more intuitive to me than some other air-curling systems I’ve tried. The three attachments lock securely into the handle and are easy to change once the tool has cooled. I also really appreciate the six-foot, 360-degree swivel cord. That’s one of those features that doesn’t sound terribly exciting until you’re styling the back of your head and realize your cord isn’t twisting itself into a knot.My one significant disappointment is the lack of an automatic shutoff. The EliteAir must be manually switched off and unplugged after use. At $159, I think automatic shutoff should have been included in a heated styling appliance at this price point. That omission aside, the styling performance is excellent. I was able to take my hair from damp to a smooth, bouncy blowout and then create soft, defined curls without switching to separate appliances. My photos show the results I achieved with the blowout brush and curling barrel. For my thin hair especially, having this much control over the temperature while still getting volume and curl makes the EliteAir a tool I’ll continue using. Thanks so much for reading my review

It’s Like Magic!
I was excited to try the Calista EliteAir Styler. I have long, fine hair that is often dry and fly-away, and I am in desperate need of tools that create volume and lasting hold without making me look teazed or frizzy. This particular styler works really well. It is beautifully boxed and gorgeous to look at. The baby pink color with rose gold accent is feminine and elegant. It’s the kind of hair tool you want to look at and don’t mind leaving out on your vanity. I love that this is a multi-functional styler – it dries as it styles and curls your hair, too.Using a barrel brush is my favorite way to style and dry at the same time. It lifts and smoothes, adding volume as you wrap your hair around it and run the brush through it. This particular barrel size is perfect, not to big or too small. The bristles are somewhat stiff, but are not so tightly packed that they catch or tangle. The wand is lightweight, easy to handle and maneuver. This styler has two air speeds – low and high. The lower speed goes to 175 degrees and the higher speed to 195 degrees. There is a bright, easy to read, digital display so you always know what temperature you are at. The styler has ionic technology that dried my hair pretty fast, gave decent volume, minimized frizz and added a nice sheen. The Calista EliteAir curling barrels are a breeze to use and so much fun. Just chose you curl direction, hold a section of your hair near the barrel and like magic it wraps around it. It attracts hair like a magnet. Hold the barrel in position for a few seconds and then pull it gently to release the curl. This way of styling is so much better for your hair and less damaging than traditional curling irons. There is also has a cool shot function to help lock in the curl. The attachments are easy-on and off with a release button. The cord is longer than most and it swivels. The temperature button is in a place where if you are not careful you are constantly hitting it, but honestly, I don’t know where else they could put the button where it wouldn’t be somewhat in the way. The curling barrels can get rather hot so take care touching them or use a glove. The price point on this styler is a bit high in my opinion ($160.00). While it’s still way cheaper than the top of the line brand stylers (you know which ones I mean), you can find others out there that are highly rated, cost less, and have more attachments. The inclusion of an traditional airflow dryer head with a removable concentrator would make this styling wand truly complete.I do appreciate that Calista is a small brand business that pays close attention to detail, so paying a bit more for this excellent quality styler is reasonable, but if I were doing this again, I would look for one that also has the ability to function as regular hair dryer. Even so, I’m thrilled with the way those crazy curling barrels work, and I would recommend this styler based on that function alone.

Over priced but functional
Off the top it was originally priced at $135 and now $159? Price is already higher than most items on the market that are generically the same just drop shipped/ white labeled. Its only comes with 2 types of attachments which is the barrels and round brush. I hope it came with a nozzle because it makes it really frizzy and uncontrollable without a nozzle for direct control. The mesh ventilator is magnetic so thats neat. Its light weight and i like that i can see the heat setting i have it on. I used the barrels on low setting on the 175 degree heat. It leaves a good curl but it will never hold like a curling iron curl after a few minutes. You just have to accept that with these hair dryers they are meant to create a loose wave. Its powerful enough. The description says 45W which didn’t male sense. Its actually 1200W single voltage. So for the price on the market ive seen it dual voltage with more powerful specs & more attachments for a cheaper price. But i will say it is cheaper than dyson and shark. The metal ceramic barrels help heat the curl better but not a huge difference in hold, the curls will still drop after a couple minutes. Thats my main critique the price for what you get. Hope this helps!

Good Hair Dryer with a Useful Brush Attachment
I’ve been enjoying this hair dryer for stretching and drying my Type 4 hair. The brush attachment ended up being the most useful part for me because it worked really well through my thick, dense hair without getting caught or causing tangles.I was able to use the brush to stretch my hair out easily while drying it, which made the process much simpler than trying to manage my hair with a separate brush and dryer. Even with my hair being very thick, the attachment moved through it well and didn’t pull my strands into knots. The curling barrels were a different story. My hair is simply too thick and dense for the air-curling feature to work the way it’s supposed to. I couldn’t get my hair to wrap around the barrel properly, so I don’t think this particular attachment is the best option for my hair type. That limitation aside, I really like how useful the brush attachment is for my hair. Being able to dry and stretch my hair at the same time saves me some effort, and I was happy with how easily it moved through my hair. For someone with thick Type 4 hair, I would mainly recommend this for the drying and stretching capabilities rather than expecting the curling barrels to work the same way they might on finer or less dense hair.
