The glass has a textured surface on one side for exfoliating and is easy to rinse clean after use. The other side is super smooth. Its shape is a little different from a traditional flat foot file or pumice stone.At first I wasn’t sure how to hold it because of the shape, but after using it I found the curves actually made it easier to reach around the edges of my toes and nails. The glass surface feels quite aggressive when it’s dry, but in the shower on soaked skin it becomes much gentler while still being very effective. It removed a rough patch on the side of my foot easily, and it also worked well for cleaning up the tips of my toes. I even found it gentle enough to use for light exfoliation on other areas, like my legs. I ended up liking it much more than the pumice stone I normally use, and it also seems much easier to keep clean. This was really easy to use and although I thought it needed a nonslip surface, this wasn’t at all as slippery or difficult to hold on to as I expected.The only real downside is the shape can still be a little awkward to grip until you get used to it. I also wish the glass were a little easier to spot on a bathroom countertop or floor, as the colour blends in more than I’d like.At $25, this is definitely more of a splurge than a basic foot file, but it feels like a higher-quality tool than a standard pumice stone. It works very well, looks more elegant, and would make a nice gift or a worthwhile purchase if you’re looking for something a little nicer.

Actually Surprised It Really Works
I didn’t have high expectation for this foot file, but boy, did it surprise me! I’m a licensed nail tech & manicuring instructor, since 1993, so I like to think I’m fairly well versed when it comes to nail products. I love my glass nail file AI use for natural nails, but I’ve never seen a glass foot exfoliator, so I was compelled to try it out. It does feel weird at first, when holding it, because of it’s odd shape (that & I’m used to a standard foot file with a long handle). Typically, foot files work best on a foot that’s been soaked for a while, but this one, I thought it worked great on 100% dry skin. I used it on my heels, they were buttery soft after a few minutes of use. The dry was still visually there, but nothing a little bit of cream couldn’t remove! The file surface was almost sticky, which I thought was weird, which the tackiness went away after using it. I rinsed it under running water, placed it face up on a soft towel to dry. The stickiness definitely was eliminated, but the roughness still remains & it worked exactly the same as the first time. I think it’s a pretty nifty foot file to have, but my only concern is using it in the shower where things are wet, because once you drop this, I’d imagine it’d shatter. My recommendation…………use it on DRY FEET & simply use lotion when finished to remove the dry appearance. Trust me, you’ll be happy with the results!

Does the job, though I’m not sure it’s worth the price
I like glass foot files better than traditional pumice or metal ones, they just seem to work better on my heels. This one is no exception; after about 2 uses, my heels already start feeling noticeably softer.I go gradually rather than filing heavily in one sitting, you don’t want to over-file and expose or irritate the skin underneath. Results also depend a lot on how much pressure you use while filing; lighter, repeated passes work better than pressing hard.Handling it was comfortable, no complaints there. My one wish would be a small hole for hanging it in the shower. right now it just lays flat, which is a bit of a minor annoyance for storage.Exfoliation-wise, it’s not the most aggressive I’ve tried, but it’s effective with consistent, gradual use rather than one heavy session. You can use it on wet or dry skin. I prefer dry, then just rinse it off after.My honest hesitation is the price. Smooths out rough skin
I ordered this because as a busy mom, I definitely do not spend enough time giving my feet the TLC that they need, and so I have calluses on my big toes and rough heels. I have tried this glass foot file 3 different ways: in the shower, after the shower and with completely dry feet. Personally, I prefer to use it on dry feet because I feel like I can better see where the drier spots are that need attention and so I get the best results. I think the shape of the glass file makes it easy to hold the outside edges comfortably while moving it in circular motions on the foot. I do wish that this came with a carrying case because it is glass and would be easy to break if it falls onto tile in a bathroom. I don’t know if it’s worth the $25 dollar price tag, but I do feel like it’s more hygienic than other options and also quite effective.
