Makes a difference
I got this set because my hair always feels super dry and weird after swimming, and I wanted something that actually helps with chlorine damage. After using it a few times, I can honestly tell a difference. The shampoo does a really good job of making my hair feel clean without that stripped, crunchy feeling. It actually feels like it’s removing all the pool chemicals instead of just covering them up. The leave-in treatment is probably my favorite part. It makes my hair feel soft right away and helps with tangles, which is huge for me because my hair gets so knotty after swimming. I also like that it doesn’t feel heavy or greasy. Sometimes leave-ins can weigh my hair down, but this one keeps it light and smooth. The scent is fresh and kind of citrusy, which makes it feel really clean without being too strong. It doesn’t linger in an overwhelming way either, which I appreciate. After a week or two of using it regularly, my hair felt less dry and looked a little shinier. It also helped with that rough feeling I usually get from chlorine. One thing I noticed is that you don’t need a lot of product, so it should last a decent amount of time. If I had to say anything, it’s that it works best if you use both steps together. When I skipped the leave-in, my hair didn’t feel as soft. Great for curly hair
Smells great and protects my daughter blonde hair. My daughter has curly hair and she is in swim lessons. The chlorine is very drying to her hair and it was damaged. After a hair cut and starting this, her hair is healthy and soft again.

Smells fresh and clean!
This set is a good idea for after swimming. The shampoo smells really nice and fresh. It lathers up nicely and rinses out easily. It removes the chlorine smell from my hair and leaves it smelling clean. I thought the second bottle in the set was conditioner but it’s a leave in treatment. The leave in treatment isn’t my favorite. It smells nice but it leaves my hair feeling greasy. I always like to use shampoo and conditioner that rinse out in the shower so I was a little disappointed. I don’t think I’ll use the leave in conditioner but the shampoo is just what I was looking for for my daughter and myself.

I like that it’s made with beneficial ingredients to prevent scalp irritation. Great for summer/swim classes!
I LOOOOOVE this set. I will probably purchase again as I got this hair care set for my son for the summer because I wanted something that would help protect his hair from chlorine/not dry it out even more. He has thicker hair that can get dry and frizzy easily (especially after being in the pool a lot) so I wanted to find something gentle that would still help clean and protect his hair. Since using this before swim lessons his hair has stayed really soft/protected and it honestly seems to help keep the chlorine from affecting his hair too much.It is a simple two step system and basically works like a normal shampoo and leave in conditioner. I like that it feels like it actually coats and treats the hair instead of just washing it and stripping everything out. His hair still feels soft after swimming, and so far he has not had any irritation or dryness from frequent pool usage.I also tried it on my own hair after being in the lake and even though there was no chlorine involved my hair still felt really soft and refreshed afterward (had it in our swim bag). A little goes a long way and both products feel lightweight without making hair greasy. Overall, I would definitely recommend this for swimmers or anyone spending a lot of time in pools this summer, especially for kids with hair that dries out easily.

Love this set!
I used to be a very regular swimmer, and I was even on the swim team in high school. I went to a private pool that used a chlorine alternative. We even had a pool for a time at one of our houses so I could do laps. I am naturally blonde, and always struggled with my hair turning green. These days I have waist long hair that I am maintaining and caring for. I used to use swimmer’s shampoos and conditioners but I haven’t bought any for some time since I do not swim like I used to in my leisurely youth.Now I am a mom to a young blonde daughter too that is taking her swim lessons. The lessons do require a parent for a few more levels so I am the pool parent. Of course this area isn’t blessed with nice alternative private pools so her lessons are at the public pool that over chlorinates the pool constantly.I saw that this was a two piece set that was a system. I appreciate having a shampoo and a leave in. I also am happy that the set is thoughtfully designed specifically for swimmers to neutralize chlorine. I also am very concerned about maintaining hair health for both of us. I thought it was very well designed to provide me with information. Each piece in the set had it’s own sheet with information in the box.The bottle and the tube both had easy to apply nozzles and the treatment had a foil seal too. The containers look very premium, with bright vibrant colors. I really like the size offered too. Just enough to carry around without being too big or so small I would run out in a few uses with my level of swimming and hair length.Vitamin c already has a place in my skincare so I was happy to have a shampoo too. The aroma is so appealing, way better than the options I had when I was a regular daily swimmer. Our pool is still closed for the season, and will open after our late spring. I do have access to a private pool, which does not offer lessons as it is for adult laps only. Generally I use a long hair cap at that pool, but for this review I exposed my hair completely to the chlorine water. I could not take my daughter so she can try this when lessons start.I think this shampoo cleanses and does what it promises. I am not an expert but I think that it does remove residual pool chlorine. My hair felt soft, clean and had a slight aroma that was sort of citrus noted and fresh without smelling chemical or like a cleaner. The lather was just right for a wash, and the shampoo is a perfect consistency. I had to use a little more because of my hair length but not a lot.I also am looking forward to using this to go to my hometown and swim in the ocean since it claims to be helpful with salt water. The pools I usually used were salt water pools, and I find my hair recovers faster with salt water over chlorine.I am excited for the leave in treatment most of all. My hair does get brittle from swimming, and it is already brittle 1A fine hair. I used this after my swim and shampoo. I left the treatment in my hair. When applying the slip was pleasant and the smoothness of my hair wasn’t too wet looking after application and air drying. My hair didn’t look greasy but had a glossy shine. There wasn’t an icky coating or oily feel which is something I run into as a blonde.I think the price is more than fair for a two piece full size set. Most of my shampoos or treatments to leave in are the cost of this set for just one bottle the same size. There is great value in this as a swimmer too. The ingredients are all fabulous for swimming and for hair maintenance. I am impressed with the quality and the care put into being sulfate and paraben free.

Good set, but bottles are small for thick hair
I ordered this set because we spend a lot of time in the pool during the summer and I wanted something to keep our hair from getting that dry, crunchy chlorine feel. We’re all brunettes, so I can’t comment on if it keeps the green out of blonde hair. My daughter has been using this shampoo and leave-in conditioner after swimming. She has very long, thick hair and we always rely on leave-in conditioners to help manage tangles. So I really liked that this set had a leave-in conditioner and not just a regular conditioner. Both the shampoo and conditioner work well. The shampoo lathers nicely, and both products leave her hair feeling soft and hydrated. It has a distinct citrus scent that smells to me like grapefruit – not quite as sweet smelling as oranges. It is a nice smell, though I’m personally not sure how I feel about hair smelling like fruit. The bottles are on the smaller side for us because of how much product we have to use for thick, long hair, but the compact size would make them convenient for traveling. Overall, it is a decent set that performs fine. I do feel it is expensive. When I ordered this product it was $39.98 for 10.58 oz and 4.73 oz.

Less is more when it comes to the leave in treatment
The scent of the products is a light lemony/citrus. I enjoyed the scent very much. The shampoo lathered and rinsed out of my hair well. I have long, straight, thin hair. After shampooing, I towel dried my hair and worked in a bit of the leave in treatment. It was thicker than a shampoo, but thinner than a regular conditioner. It had the consistency of other leave in treatments. It absorbed and worked in well without a sticky feeling on my hair or on my hands. After blow drying, my hair feels soft, but looks a little on the “greasier” side. I think I’ll do less treatment next time. I suggest starting with a little and working your way up to what your hair could handle.
