    Buy this if you use a brush

    After searching high and low to find a shaving brush stand that met my criteria, I was delighted to find this one. My criteria were:1. Match my Edwin Jagger razor stand2. Reasonable price – for a piece of bent metal, I’m not going to pay more than my razor!This is a solid little stand, and fits my brush (Escali) perfectly. I can’t lift it out vertically, but can remove it by lifting up a bit and moving horizontally. My brush gets rinsed very thoroughly, then hung to dry.Vertical orientation is very important for brushes, but if you’re shopping for a stand you already know that. If stored on their side or bristles up, they tend to rot and live much shorter lives. I’ve had this stand for 2 months, and I still enjoy looking at it every time I shave.Pros:This stand is very handsome, and was a good valueCons:None (may not fit an oversized brush, but mine worked fine)

    Nicely Functional

    I bought this to store my shaving brush. It’s not fancy, but then it’s not expensive, either. And that’s a nice enough balance for a utilitarian fixture like this. And speaking of balance, I find it nice and stable. Importantly, it has not rusted or shown any signs of corrosion, having been in the shower now for several months. I’m assuming that most shaving brushes are of essentially the same dimensions. This stand is perfect for holding my brush off the shelf surface, and allows bristles to dry naturally, while allowing the brush to keep its shape.The important point is that its functional.Bottom line? I’m happy with it. 🙂

    Shaving Brush Stand…no batteries required

    This device is as simple as it gets, I use this stand to hold my Tweezerman shaving brush, It allows my brush to air dry, and keeps it off the counter top. It even looks nice, so the better half does not complain about it clashing (if that word is still used anymore) with the other fixtures in the bathroom. I personally don’t care what it looks like just as long as it does the job I want it to. It holds my shaving brush by suspending the brush in the air allowing it to dry wood handle up, best yet, no batteries required.

    Does the Job

    Some of the reviews on this item claim it is too short; it may be for some brushes. As with any product of this nature, check measurements before ordering. This is one of the simplest little stands that I found, searching. it’s sturdy, and holds my brush upright, bristles-down, perfectly. Plus, given the gauge of the metal used in its construction, I imagine it’s going to be pretty nigh-on indestructible. I wanted something simple, with clean lines, that didn’t take up a lot of real-estate on my vanity counter, and this stand fits the bill perfectly. I would recommend this to a friend.

    Not Worth the Money

    I purchased this chrome shaving stand because it was presented by Amazon as an accessory for the shaving brush I bought. At the time, I did not want to spend the time to source out a better deal elsewhere. In my opinion, this stand is an overpriced accessory and should have been priced closer to $5. Regarding the quality, the surface of the stand had not been properly prepared, meaning that it is a little rough. After only a couple of weeks this cheap stand has started to rust. This is unacceptable. And by the way, I squeeze and shake my brush before storing.By comparison, I purchased an “as seen on TV” double edge safety razor locally about the same time. It is chrome plated BRASS and it includes a stand all for the price of $20. This (superior)stand is very similar to the one I’m reviewing here and has a nicer chrome finish without the rust (so far). Amazon is getting $13 for theirs. Even if the quality was good this would not be a typical Amazon bargain. But since the quality is poor, it’s a very poor value. I recommend taking the time to source a better product for the same or less money. I gave it 2 stars instead of one because it does a good enough job of holding my Tweezerman shaving brush. So the design is fine, it’s just the manufacturing and quality control that are lacking.

    Rusted wasn’t good for very long.

    This was great for the first month, however it got rusty immediately, and something that is designed to hold a shaver brush while it is drying should hold up to getting some water on it. We had to throw it away after just a couple months and buy a new one. Lets hope we have better luck with the next one.One plus, is it did hold the shaving brush perfect and looked cute, just wish it could have with stood getting some water on it :(I take my reviews very seriously and all opinions are mine and mine alone. I only review products after I am able to test them thoroughly. If this review was helpful, please let me know by voting it up.

    Nice basic brush stand.

    Ordered this as a replacement for a cheap black plastic stand, because the chrome looks nicer in my bathroom. It is a great basic metal stand for under $10. Fits all of my standard-size shave brushes and does the job.

    Was Hoping for More – Don’t Believe the Picture

    As the title says, I was hoping for more with this item. Yes the cost is low and the quality is decent in terms of function (not form). However, the picture is deceiving. The picture shows a fairly standard looking stand, but one which has a solid lower ring and well finished ends on the upper ‘ring’. In fact, I purchased this in large part because it is sold by ‘Super Safety Razors’ which happens to own ‘Parker Razors’ and I thought they would be a bit more reliable. However, what I received is a generic stand of generic, run of the mill design (in a generic box), that has an open lower ring and very, and I mean VERY rough workmanship on the upper ‘ring’ (Read: ‘file marks’ and ‘sharp uneven edges’). Due to the cost, I didn’t bother sending it back as it will do the job, but again, it is definitely not what I expected given the photo or the seller. I would not purchase this again.
