No color was removed
Little to no change in hair color on dyed hair (almost the same color of red as on the box). I know red is difficult to get out, but the water ran clear immediately. Literally no color came out after using a whole bottle of this remover on a bob hair cut that just reaches the top of the base of my neck.

I honestly let this box sit on my table for almost a week because I was terrified to use it. 😅 I had recently dyed my hair a vibrant red and then decided to put a dark brown over it thinking it would tone it down a little. Instead, it turned into this really dark black-red color that looked muddy and way harsher than I wanted. I was panicking because I thought I was either stuck with it or going to completely fry my hair trying to fix it.After reading reviews, I finally decided to try this remover, and I’m genuinely impressed with how well it worked. The process was actually pretty straightforward, and I noticed a difference almost immediately. It lifted out that dark overly-saturated color and brought my hair back to a much prettier, softer tone. The biggest surprise was that I didn’t even feel like I needed to recolor afterward because the result already looked so much better than I expected.Another thing I was worried about was damage. Most color removers have a reputation for leaving hair feeling dry, rough, stiff, or straw-like afterward. Thankfully, that was not my experience with this at all. My hair still felt pretty soft after using it. I do use moisturizing products and hair masks regularly, so I’m sure that helped too, but this definitely did not leave my hair feeling destroyed.I also appreciated that the smell wasn’t as unbearable as I expected from a color remover. It’s still a chemical process obviously, but it was manageable.Overall, this completely saved my hair color disaster and gave me way better results than I expected. If you accidentally went too dark or ended up with a color you hate, this is absolutely worth trying before spending a fortune at a salon.

Best hair stripper ever
I absolutely love this product. I have a hard time getting the old dye out of my hair, but this product is amazing it works great and doesn’t have a bad odor. I would highly recommend this if you have issues removing old dye or just wanting to get your hair back to its natural color then this is the product for YOU !

Would not recommend; more like a bleaching agent
The result was soooo horrible that I rushed to cover it up with another dye.At first, I wanted to strip the existing dye to allow for my grays to grow in. I thought this product would make the transition look more gradual. After using this product, my dark brown hair turned copper…. At nooo time was my natural hair or colored hair even close to the color cooper. It looked sooooo bad that I opted to color my hair all back to dark brown.I wish I took a picture instead of reacting so fast to fix the problem.

It works
If your husband is an idiot and needs to remove the men’s hair color that comes out of a box use this. It works over any homemade remedy you can find online.It is very strong. Couldn’t find the good powdered stuff at Sally so I resorted to this.

Does not completely remove Demi color
This product does not remove Clairol Demi Natural Instincts 6C from gray hair. It only lightens the dye a couple of shades. Do a test strand prior to using this product to make sure it doesn’t turn your hair orange. I’m glad I did because if I would have left it on any longer than 30 minutes, I would be sporting a wonderful orange pumpkin head for halloween!

DOES NOT WORK AT ALL FOR BLACK HAIR DYED HAIR
ZERO STARS!!!I only left five stars so they would put my review at the top.If you have your hair, dyed black, this will not remove any black hair dye!First picture of me wearing the red shirt is showing my hair with the product currently in it & also showing how black my hair is currently.The second photo is my hair directly after showering and blow drying slightly.As you can see absolutely zero of the black hair dye was taken out.Not only does this stuff smell like actual cat pee…. And I’m not joking at all, it smelled so SO BAD I almost started throwing up. I’m also an owner of cats so I do know exactly what cat pee smells like. And this stuff smells genuinely like somebody didnt clean their cat litter box for two weeks. It smells so so so bad!And once again did not lift my black hair dye at all.And on top of all of that, the amount of product that they give you in this bottle is actually insulting. My hair is right past my shoulder blades and when I tell you this product barely covered half of my head I’m not exaggerating.Well, I guess I’m going to stick to being a sexy black haired baddie🖤🖤🖤🖤Because nothing lifts black hair dye clearly.THINK LONG AND HARD BEFORE BUYING THIS BS CHEMICALS

It works . . . ish . . .
I’m new to the world of rapidly revolving colors. I made the mistake of using Splat Midnight Jade, which looked dope, but I found out after the fact that it’s notoriously difficult to fade/remove. As evidenced by the pictures, the Clairol Pro Fixer did an excellent job of lifting my natural medium brown UNDER the Splat . . . I was determined to achieve orange for the Fall, so I gave it a shot anyway. It turned out a solid okay. I will need to tone with some more semi-permanent orange as it fades and the green underneath starts to make itself more abundantly known. But I can handle that.
