More like a very, very light conditioner than hair mask
I’m comparing this to my Keratase and Amika hair masks and I’m not impressed.Pros: beautiful packaging (not that that has anything to do with the product inside but it’s nice to look at), pleasant scent (although it’s more minty than citrus-y in my opinion) and it does not weigh down my fine, straight hair at allCons: very thin texture (it’s about as watery as my daily conditioner and not thick like most masks that come in a jar), disappears as soon as I apply (I need to use about 4 times more product compared to Keratase and Amika so price per use is higher), does not condition more than a regular conditioner (actually feels LESS conditioning than my daily use conditioners)Save your money and buy a rich daily conditioner versus this one if you like this type of ultra light weight conditioning. This is DOES come in a pretty jar and has a nice light scent which I do appreciate very much and wish Keratase and Amika would take note of.

Scent Reminds Me of Eucalyptus
As far as hair masks go, this one is decent enough. There are a ton of amino acids in it and other hydrating ingredients.It’s a medium-weight mask which is different from most other hair masks I’ve used which have a thicker consistency. So I need to use more to coat my strands. It rinses out nicely and the scent reminds me of eucalyptus. I don’t notice that the scent lingers on my hair afterwards.My hair does feel soft and conditioned but I can’t say that it does any better than my daily conditioner.The price seems rather high considering I have to use more product than a typical hair mask.Overall, I’m satisfied with this hair mask. It’s not the best one I’ve used but my hair does feel nice and soft.Extra points for the great ingredients and lovely scent as well as it being sulfate and cruelty free.

Conflicting results
I have thin, fine straight Asian hair with low porosity. Over time I have found that silicones actually do the best for my hair contrary to most advice out there. Those smooth my hair out, reduce frizz, and keep it shiny and protected while also avoiding strands from clumping together. This hair mask was the opposite of that and it did not do anything for me; in fact it actually made things worse. The mask was sticky for my strands and did not make them softer. I also did not like the eucalyptus and Pomelo smell of it. However, once I gave it to my roommate who has blonde curls, she liked it a lot. She usually avoids silicones. She thought it worked pretty well for her and in defining her curls but reducing frizz. I think your mileage may vary with this product. Personally, if my roommate hadn’t taken it then this would have gone straight into the trash.

NICE hair mask; works best when paired with a clarifying shampoo
This is a nice conditioner / mask. It’s not too heavy to use on a daily basis for my fine, long, dry, straight, color-treated hair, but for me, it works best when I use it as a mask after cleansing with a clarifying shampoo. I like the fresh scent a lot, and I enjoy the rather “invigorating” feeling on my scalp that makes me feel refreshed. My hair is obviously softer and more manageable than if I don’t use it, although my results are similar with comparably priced masks. My son has used it on his curly hair too, with also great results.

I use the COCOONORIGINAL Cocoon Pomelo Hair Mask to strengthen and hydrate my hair.After I’ve had my hair colored, I wait about a week and start using this hair mask. I shampoo & rinse, then apply the mask to my hair ends up to about the middle of my hair. Comb it through and leave it on for about 5 minutes, then rinse. I do this treatment on Tuesdays & Thursdays. It is like deep conditioning & nourishment for my hair.EXPIRATION DATE: NONE!I always check for expiration dates before using, ESPECIALLY with health & beauty products. The expiration date tells me whether a product has been sitting somewhere on a shelf or an idea of when manufactured for distribution. This product does NOT have an expiration date, likely because it is not required.PROPERLY SEALED: ✅It is important to me how manufacturers seal & ship their products. This item was PROPERLY SEALED, as you can see from the pictures. To me, this means the manufacturer cares about its products.✔️The PRICE for this Hair Mask is in the usual range.
