It didn’t help my frizz. I tried on all heat settings and made many passes over small sections of hair and it only did an ok job and it took a long time. It’s probably just not good for my hair type. I’ll stick with a regular flat iron.

Love the controls in the handle.
The best straightening tool I’ve ever used. Works great on my short hair.You can really tell that whoever designed the controls really thought about it. The controls allow you to set the temperature in increments of 25 degrees and then by double clicking the on/off button, you can lock in the temperature. So many hair tools have controls in the wrong place for me and I’ve accidentally shut them off or turned them up too high while I’m trying to use them. Would buy again.

I like this product. It is easy to handle. It just takes getting adjusted to the manner in which you have to use your hands to initiate a specific style or curl on your hair. I don’t feel my hair is being damaged by using this specific product as compared to others.

Horrible! Disappointed in Conair
I bought this straightener hoping it would be as good as the Tymo. However it’s not. It’s horrible. My hair is thick and curly, the straightener didn’t really work well for me. It did make my hair a bit straight, but it didn’t smooth or make it sleek like the Tymo does. It also didn’t glide through my hair easily. It pulled a lot on my hair and even took a few strands with it.Then there is the temperature. I put it up to the the max at 400 degrees. It didn’t feel like 400, it was more like 200. I’m guessing that’s because the temp was not hot enough, it just wouldn’t straighten or smooth my hair very well. I obviously need a high heat due to my hair type.Also I was sent a product that was used by someone else. The packaging was all over inside the box. No one bothered to look and see if everything was in its proper place before reselling.All in all I am not happy with this product and very disappointed in Conair. In the past their products were very good. This one was a huge disappointment.

Quick and gentle straightening – love it!
This straightening brush really impressed me. It’s super easy to use — just plug it in, wait a few seconds, and it’s ready to go. Works well. Comb hair first so it’s de tangled. But straightens well. And you can use it add curls and waves too. Small and proficient. Heats up and straightens fast and less damaging than a typical flat iron straightener. Shiny straight hair and I have wavy hair naturally.

Ok, let me first say that this does absolutely work for straightening your hair, and the speed at which it heats up is fine. The reason I gave it 4 of 5 stars is that, unlike the model I was replacing, this requires a two-handed operation. First, without the ‘teeth’ like the one I had before, there is nothing to ‘grab’ your hair. Therefore, you have to use one hand to hold the hair taught, while the other guides the paddles into the swath and pulls down. Another thing I didn’t like is that it managed to yank some of my hair out on several occasions before I ‘doctored it’ with some nail polish. See picture below. You might not think that thin groove would pose a problem, but it does. Another thing I REALLY don’t like is that the buttons do not lock in any way. Once you’ve reached the temperature you’ve chosen, you have to be careful to NOT touch them while using it. This isn’t the simplest thing to do as they are located on the handle, and require the lightest of touches to interact with. This means that you will inevitably touch them with your fingers or palm and then have to readjust back to the settings you wanted. So, to sum it up, here are my takeaways.Likes: Straightens hair & heats up fairly quickly.Dislikes: Required doctoring to keep from catching my hair in the device. Buttons do not LOCK and are too easy to touch during operation, therefore requiring you to readjust the settings over and over.** Yes, I know the nail polish is lime green, but I use it to mark chargers and stuff. Nobody sees it but me. 🙂
