Look no further! Excellent Hot Comb for my thick coarse African American hair!
I took a chance on this one since there were NO reviews on the hot comb (only the blow dryer had reviews) since all the Conair products are combined. Anyways, to my African American sisters this one will definitely straighten your hair from the roots to the ends! Plus, only one pass is needed but I of course did a few since I like it bone straight! Coming off of relaxers and embracing the natural once again as I get older. I used the highest setting of 450 and it did not burn my hair. After searching through Amazon’s list of hot combs and ordering and returning quite a few, this one was the best! It is made of lightweight sturdy plastic which makes it easy to hold and use. I like the built in stand as opposed to the bracket stand that I always have to move constantly during use. The comb itself glides easily through my natural coarse hair. The combs are spaced apart just right. I initially thought they were too wide apart but it still worked fine in straightening my hair. My main reason for getting this one was the temperature display and black ceramic coating. I’m just hoping that the black coating will hold up well! So far so good! The price wasn’t to bad either, the $15-$20 ones are tempting but this $30 one had everything I was looking for except for the comb guard but I don’t think I would have used that anyways (can’t get the edges good with the guard). Plus, I follow up with a flat iron for curl! Just buy it!

IT’S HOT!!!!!!
I’ve been thinking of going natural so I ordered it yesterday & got it today! Couldn’t wait to try it so I did (without reading the instructions)! I used the 1st setting (coily) but wanted it hotter. I went to the 2nd setting (curly) & boy was it hot! The way it’s shaped it doesn’t burn your scalp unless you but the comb directly on your scalp. It definitely takes care of flyaways too! After reading the instructions I realized that I don’t need the 2nd setting but the 1st setting using the button to go hotter. I’m going to wash my hair tomorrow, let it dry naturally then use the Pressing Comb & see what happens. If this works like I think it does goodbye relaxers! I’ll keep you updated!

I have naturally afro hair. The Hot comb straightened my hair easily, on the (coily) high heat setting. The comb heats up within a minute and was very easy to use. The three temperature settings are great. The handle is comfortable to hold for a long period of time. The comb itself is not too heavy. I used the Chi Keratin product line for washing and conditioning my hair prior to hot combing and after hot combing.

The temperature controls work nicely and remove go up to 450 degrees I go up to 375 for my hair to control heat damage and the temo works just fine.I use this to straighten the roots if my natural 4C hair . Hasn’t caused any heat damage, ny hair reverts back to its natural curl form.I really like the quality of this hot comb. Not too heavy to use , comfortable to use ,easy to use.Its perfect. I will buy one for my sister too. as a gift. I’m very happy I purchased, just what I was searching for. 5 Star ls from me .

Had a missing glove for the first one so Amazon sent me another for a replacement. Still did NOT get the heat resistant glove which I was upset about but otherwise I was really impressed by the quality of the iron itself. Pressed my hair really silky and soft.

I used this product for the first time after I received it and yes it gets really hot but my thick hair needs a really hot comb. The comb itself is so light weight which is amazing! And the straightening comb left me with no frizz! I was using Andis and it would stay as hot as it did when I first heated it up and left me frizzy and it was much heavier. This consist come is a game changer! I’m so happy with this purchase
