Quick beachy waves!
I love this attachment!! I typically use a tapered hot curling iron when not using my airwrap, and have lamented how it doesn’t come with the tapered attachment included in the set (or, at least mine didn’t). I could never get my hair to look like the beachy waves I prefer with the regular round barrel attachments.This barrel fits nicely, and turns in direction just like the other attachments. When I let my hair wrap around it, my hair stays in place and doesn’t “creep” up the barrel (I hold the barrel in place vertically).Two notes: I’ve always held my tapered barrel with the skinny end pointed down, and that is how I use it (which, I believe is the correct way – not like in the product photo). Also, the plastic on the barrel does get hotter than the other attachments. The copper tip still stays cool, just something to note when using.

Curls in both directions
The fact that this can be adjusted to curl in both directions make me a huge fan of this attachment. I always hate having to pack so many accessories when traveling and now I can just bring this one curl accessory! That being said, I haven’t quite mastered getting my curls to look consistent with it yet. I do like that it’s a longer barrel, but I’m not sure if it’s the width or that its not an official dyson attachment but I do find that I need to dry my hair more before curling than I do with the other attachments. That’s my main complaint. I like that the tip does not get too hot to touch like my other attachments too. I really wish all the dyson curl barrels could be adjusted to curl in each direction. Such a smart design!

Nice addition to the standard air wrap set.
Having had the Dyson air wrap for over a year and a half now, I was intrigued when I saw this attachment. It hadn’t even occurred to me that there might be different attachments for the air wrap. This particular one provides a tighter smaller curl which is a good addition to the set of attachments that comes with the Dyson air wrap. Even though it is not made by Dyson I found it to fit and work just as well as the original Dyson attachments.

Works great for tighter curls than the barrels that come with the Air-wrap set
I have the original Dyson air-wrap set. This attachment fits perfectly. The air-wrap set I have came with two sets of curling-iron shaped attachments, one is big barreled and the other is a bit smaller. By adding this new attachment into the mix, it is much smaller than the other two and can be used if you want to get a curly tendril look. I’m talking Shirley Temple tendrils… that you can get from this thing depending on your method. I finger combed them out to be looser curls. I absolutely LOVE that this is just one piece that curls in both directions, and all you have to do is twist the top knob piece to one side or the other. The only problem with that is my hair was getting caught in the direction-knob piece, but admittedly I was hastily doing my hair and if I took the time and was more careful I could probably avoid that.
