Somewhat helpful but I’ve used better products
I was not as impressed with the dry shampoo as others were. It has cute, recyclable packaging and a pleasant smell. I wish the dispenser was different – smaller or less holes – because I found it dispensed more than I wanted both times I’ve used it.I have long-ish curly hair which as any curly-haired girl know, cannot be washed daily. It get dirty at the roots long before the ends. So I was on the lookout for a product to remove oil from the roots only.As for effectiveness, it did cut down on the very slight sheen my hair was getting at the roots but it only lasted a couple of hours.

Perfect Prep for a Smoother, Less Messy Wax
I’ve been using this pre waxing powder for a little while now and it has made a noticeable difference in my routine. It is super lightweight and easy to apply, and it really helps absorb any moisture or oil before waxing. Because of that, the wax grips the hair better instead of sticking to the skin, which makes the whole process smoother and a lot less messy.I also love how gentle it feels. I have fairly sensitive skin and this did not cause any irritation or dryness. My skin actually felt more comfortable during and after waxing, which is a huge plus.Another thing I appreciate is the clean formula. It feels good knowing it does not have a bunch of unnecessary ingredients, and it still performs really well.I have also tried using it as a dry shampoo as the description mentions, and it works surprisingly well for that too. It helps refresh my roots without leaving them feeling heavy or coated.Overall, this is such a helpful product to have on hand. It makes waxing easier, cleaner, and more comfortable. Definitely a 5 star staple for me.

Waxing Help
Initially, I was a little worried about this product. Application was messy to say the least, but after a few times working it, I’ve become much more adept at getting it out and on correctly! Beyond application, the priming powder coats everything well while also being free from any smell at all. I’ve had a few of the products where there is an overly fake smell, and I much prefer this neutral nothing smell to those. As a priming powder, I think it works wonderfully, and the wax attaches much easier after use. Depending on how often and how large an area you wax, you’ll likely have more than a handful of uses in this bottle. As a dry shampoo, it’s a little underwhelming; there are better products on the market that are specific to that, but if you need it, it works in a pinch.Overall, I’m very pleased with this product!

Good skin protection for waxing
If you find success using a powder before waxing, this is a good option. It did not cause any reaction or anything like that – and I have VERY sensitive skin to bad ingredients. I just didn’t really think it made that big of a difference…. I tried to use it to make doing underarms easier with keeping it dry but it didn’t really help with that. It was nice when waxing legs to keep the wax from sticking to the skin at all. For reference, I use hard wax so that already is not very sticky. I also have a good pain tolerance, so this is more of just like a fun thing to try. Still five stars because it’s good for what it’s supposed to do, except that I just wish it dried my skin better.

Works well, maybe a bit pricey for what it is
As an alternative to Talc products this Crybaby Waxing Powder (and dry shampoo) fills a gap. It doesn’t have offending ingredients like phthalates, synthetic dyes, fragrances, or parabens. So it’s something I am comfortable using on my body. It did work inasmuch as I had less redness and after-rash when I waxed my upper lip. Also, it works quite well as adry shampoo, as well as other dry shampoos. It’s made in the USA; not sure where the ingredients are sourced.That said, it’s fairly pricey at $24.00 for a 3-ounce container, when there are other products (albeit maybe with not all the same ingredients) out there that might work as well. If I were using this on a daily basis I would certainly balk. On an occassional or infrequent basis it’s not such a dent in the budget.

A little pricey but honestly great!
I usually prefer to use a very light oil to prep for waxing on my Brazillian, but sometimes I am down to use powder. Ideally you would use powder for areas that may sweat more or be too moist (like armpits), then use oil where it’s dry. I’m still navigating what is my best option, but prior to this product if I used a powder it was just regular baby powder. Baby powder does work very well in my opinion and it is very affordable, but it is very dusty and light. This powder seems to have a little bit more weight to it so it doesn’t poof up everywhere. Where it does poof is when you pull the lid off, so keep that in mind. Make sure you don’t shake it up or toss it around before you open it or you’ll get a nice dust expel from it. It really does not take much at all so don’t dump it over. It does come out kind of quick. It would be nice if the holes were a little smaller. When waxing I was quite impressed with how it protected my skin yet still allowed the wax to work well on grabbing the hair. I really appreciate how it helped for the inner parts. One thing I did not realize from the listing is that it can be used as a dry shampoo?! I definitely will have to give that a shot. Again, application should be done carefully so you don’t dump a ton of it on your head, but I can see how the powder would be good for it. I have another powder dry shampoo and they do both feel similar. This being unscented could be a nice alternative sometimes because my other stuff if highly scented. The price is a little much for a some people, but I do anticipate my bottle to last a long time, and it is versatile. I think if you use it carefully it will last. I also do think the quality is great so if your budget allows for it, I recommend it fully!

Removes light oil from hair if you’re unable to shampoo. It works. Has no fragrance.
. Sometimes you just don’t have the time or ability to shampoo your hair when needed. Then you need a cleansing dry powder like this to remove excess oils and dirt. For example: camping. Running out the door early in the morning to get the mail or put out the garbage. At work, something gets in your hair.. In the old days, before we found out that talc causes cancer, I used to put talcum powder on my roots to remove oil, when I was unable to shampoo. After talc was removed from the market, I had no ‘Plan B’ to quickly touch-up my hair in a minute. I really missed that.. Now I have this ‘Cry Baby’ face powder that is completely safe and can be used instead of talc on the hair to remove light oils. It works just the talc did. But it has no fragrance. I miss the fragrance.. Health enthusiasts know, that ‘fragrance’ in the list of ingredients, is a proprietary secret. Manufacturers take advantage of this secrecy, to include a mix of things that often include harmful chemicals, including endocrine disruptors. We are probably better off without chemical fragrances.WHAT IF I LIKE FRAGRANCE?. I have big dogs in my house and sometimes, especially when it rains, the house can smell like dog. Then I am afraid my hair will smell like dog. If I am unable to shampoo my hair, I like to add a spritz of perfume to make my hair small nice. (You could also use your favorite smelling powdered spices. Powdered Anise smells like licorice.) Then I figured out that I should spritz my hair with perfume before I use dry shampoo. The dry shampoo will remove both the excess oil AND the excess perfume. My hair won’t spell like dog anymore and it won’t be overwhelming with perfume either. It will be just right.RATING: As an safe unscented powder to remove excess oils in the hair,5 STARS!

Not sure what to talc about…
I don’t use a lot of talc. The stuff’s worked pretty well though. It left me feeling fresh and clean when I used it. It’s not like baby powder that seems to be eternally stuck on everything and never fully cleaned up and it doesn’t linger in the air forever. A big puff of it did come out each time I removed the lid though… Even so with it being unscented and settling really fast, it was easy to clean up and didn’t feel like it choked me. It also doesn’t come out super fast, so you don’t have to worry about a big mess. That little bit in the photo on top of the lid was about eight gentle taps on the side of the container when turned parallel to the counter.
