I’ve used this a couple times just to keep the beard neat. It works pretty well, I’m not sure it’s something I’ll get a lot of use out of but maybe once a month or so.Kind of expensive for what it is so if you can find a decent one for cheaper consider that route but this one works fine.

I find that this works quite well in straightening out a beard. I did have to try out different temperatures, and different brushing styles before I found the one that worked. It is bundled with a sort of hair oil, and then a tub of hair pomade sort of thing, which gives a bit of hold when you use it (the pomade is mildly scented, and has a sort of Vaseline consistency). The one thing that I am not a fan of is that, even though the handle of the device stays cool during use, the back of the comb gets quite hot, and I have to keep reminding myself to be aware of the position of my hand, and also, you’d need to have a heat resistant surface or container nearby to set this on, or into, when in use.

Not quite made for my demographic!
The unit is very well made, but i think that I am not the demographic for which it was made for. I believe it is not made for African-American beards(even though there is an African-American on the box, go figure). As our hair is a more curly and course. It seemed to press my beard, more than straighten it, which isn’t bad, but just not the right results, i was expecting. But the over all quality is great compared to last years model, which was cordless.

No matter how long I leave this plugged in it does not seem to get hot enough, especially not the advertised temperature. This is probably the third type of beard straightener I’ve bought over the past 5 years, it is also the worst one.

Works great on my sons beard!!
This work well for straighting my sons beard! His beard had lots of curls, making his beard look uneven and straggly. It straighten out his curls, which made his beard look fuller and easier to trim it. Now his beard looks nice and even!* The straightener brush has 3 settings. Off, low and high. The low is about 350 degrees and the high is about 400 degrees per the manual.* The cord attaches in a easy swivel manner, making it easier to use.* Comes with a beard balm that is mildly sandlewood scented. The jar has a compartment in the lid, that holds a spoon, for removing a pea sized amount.* Comes with a bottle of beard oil. I could decent no smell from the oil, but my son says it had a bit of a sugary smell.

I was skeptical about using a straightener on my wavy beard until I tried the Cutting Edge Heated Beard Straightener Brush. I have always found it difficult to tame the natural tendency for my beard to flare in all directions unless I plastered it with gobs of beard butter. I first washed my beard then dried it with a towel. After applying the heated brush, the stragglers seemed to line up nicely. I then applied a few drops of the supplied beard oil and it looks good to go! I have not tried the beard balm as yet as it doesn’t seem to be needed. I intend to growing the beard longer and time will tell if it will ne necessary.I would recommend this product.
