I assumed from the name ‘Cyperus Rotundus Serum Roll-On’ that the primary ingredient in this serum would be Cyperus Rotundus, but it’s actually the tenth ingredient in the list. There is less Cyperus Rotundus than there is, “Water (Aqua), Propylene Glycol, Glycerin, Hexylene Glycol, Betaine, Hydroxyacetophenone, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Lactate, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil.”The rest of the ingredient list is: “Cyperus Rotundus Root Extract, Isohexyl Isononanoate, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Extract, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Kernel Oil, Disodium EDTA, Lactic Acid, Butylene Glycol, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Sodium Mannose Phosphate, Mannose, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Rosa Damascena Flower Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Polysorbate 20, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7.”That’s a long list, and many of those substances are likely to be petroleum-derived, too. But in order to work, my understanding is that the oil needs to have a high concentration of Cyperus Rotundus, not just have a little added into a mixture of other things. Since many of those things are PEGs or petroleum-derived chemicals that I don’t want to absorbing into sensitive areas, I’m not comfortable using it even if there is enough Cyperus Rotundus extract to reduce hair growth.

I can’t tell of this is slowing or making hair growth more fine. However, it dies seem smoothing and make my legs soft. The roller ball is a clean, mess-free way to apply, making it great for travel. For large areas, like legs, you do have to use a lot but it’s easy enough. I roll it all over and rub in further with my hands. There isn’t much of a scent and the feel is smooth and not too oily, likely because it rolls on in a thin layer.
