Solid feel in the hand, clean lines, and a genuine sense that you’re holding something more sophisticated than the average bathroom flat iron. Instead of relying purely on high heat to smooth hair, the iron combines heated plates with a fine cool mist emitted as you glide, in theory letting you achieve a smooth finish at a lower temperature setting.Does that actually mean less heat damage? Honestly, I can’t independently prove it, but the sensation of using it certainly feels gentler. The plates seem to grip and smooth hair with fewer passes, which is really the mechanism at work: less time on the hair equals less cumulative heat exposure, regardless of the peak temperature. Whatever the exact science, the results look silky and the process feels kind.You get the straightener itself, a pin-tail comb for sectioning, a heat-resistant glove for handling the plates, two hair clips, and a carrying bag. That’s a fuller kit than most drugstore straighteners come with, and it’s clearly meant to arrive gift-ready.This is NOT a plug-and-play device. There’s a detachable water container you have to fill and re-seat to enable the steam function, and figuring out exactly how to remove and reattach it requires actually reading the instructions. I’m in love with this DANJU Cool Mist Steam Hair Straightener with 200M negative ions and ceramic plates that work together to smooth my fine, highlighted somewhat frizzy hair while adding some moisture, which helps reduce heat damage.You get so much with this! You get the iron with a detachable comb, a tube to fill the water reservoir, 2 hair clips, a hand comb, a glove, a manual and a large soft drawstring carrying/storage bag.A lot of flat irons can still leave my ends looking and feeling super dry and fried, but this one is totally different. The micro-mist through the steam vents adds just enough moisture so the 1” plates glide easily without pulling or snagging my hair. It smoothes my hair and reduces heat damage, whether I use the steam or not, and I only need one pass using smaller sections.It’s very easy to fill the water tank with the included plastic dropper. The little tank arrived with condensation and was noted on the tank it’s because it was tested before shipping, which I appreciate.The iron is so well made and feels solid in my hand. It has a locking mechanism on the bottom by the swivel cord which makes it easy to store, it heats up so fast, and there are 3 heat levels, so you can adjust it easily with the side button next to the steam button, and the detachable comb on the straightener is a great addition and adds some control and guidance for my hair through the plates.This straightener leaves my hair looking soft, shiny and healthy instead of fried and dry. It’s so easy to style my layers, to straighten, make curls or waves, and I think it helps my strands absorb my heat protectants and other hair products too. It’s definitely worth the price, which is affordable for how great this is, and I’m so happy I grabbed it!

Works Well on Curly Hair, With Some Room for Improvement
I have long, thick, curly hair, so I decided to test this straightener starting with completely dry, air-dried hair. My hair was very curly going into the test, which I figured was the best way to see what this straightener could actually do.The cool-mist water tank is a little tricky to access because of where it’s positioned inside the straightener. It was somewhat difficult to remove, although putting it back in was easy. The tank needs to be filled with distilled water using the included pipette. It takes a little time to fill, but I’m glad the pipette is included because it would be very difficult to fill the tank without it. We have extremely hard water where I live, so I always use distilled water when a product specifically calls for it. It’s tricky to get the water out, which is what is recommended for storage. I had to use the pipette to get the water out and I’m not sure how it will completely dry on its own.The buttons are a little difficult to read, but the instruction manual includes a diagram that makes it easier to figure out what everything does. I started at 355 F, which the instructions recommend for wavy or curly hair. I sectioned my hair using the included clips and started testing it.The temperature indicator continued flashing for about six minutes while the straightener was supposedly preheating. According to the instructions, the flashing light means it isn’t ready yet, so I was a little confused when it was still flashing after that long. I eventually pressed the mist button, and the temperature indicator stopped flashing.One thing I like about the mist system is that it only releases mist when the plates are closed, so you’re not continuously wasting water while the straightener is sitting open. I’m still not completely convinced how much difference the mist actually makes, though. The amount of mist is very small, and I didn’t notice a dramatic difference in the finished result compared with what I’d expect from a regular straightener.On my first test section, though, I was impressed with how well it straightened my hair. The section looked noticeably smoother and straighter. At 355 F, I did have to work with much smaller sections than I normally would with my more expensive straightener. I increased the temperature to 390 F and was able to work with a larger section and get a better result. I don’t like to use high heat on my hair but of course I tried the 430 F and it did the best job.I really like the optional comb attachment. I feel like it helps give the hair a smoother finish as it passes through the plates. I assume the intended orientation is for the comb and mist to go through the hair before the hot plates, although the instructions don’t make that particularly clear.I also like the shape of the barrel. It’s more rounded than a traditional flat iron and reminds me more of a curling iron, so I was able to use it to curl my hair as well. It actually worked very well for curling compared with my other straightener. I would remove the comb attachment for curling, though, because I found that it could catch on my hair.The included accessories are another nice touch. It comes with sectioning clips, a heat-resistant glove, the water-filling pipette, and a storage bag. I particularly appreciated the bag because I was able to set the hot straightener on it rather than directly on my countertop while I was working.The finished result on my hair wasn’t completely pin-straight—there were still a few waves—but considering how curly my hair was to begin with and the price of this straightener, I think it did a very good job. You can see my before-and-after photos and video for reference.Overall, I think this is a well-designed straightener for the price. I like the rounded shape, comb attachment, accessories, and the fact that it can be used for both straightening and curling. I’m less impressed with the water tank and I’m still undecided about how much the cool-mist feature actually contributes to the results. It also always makes me wonder about quality when the instruction manual has typos (see picture “Cold Mist Hair gtraightener”). Time will tell how well it holds up, but so far I think it’s a good value and I’m happy with the results.

Functional Easy Quick Customizable Quality Budget Friendly Steam Straightner🌟
This DANJU 1” Cool Mist Flat Iron Steam Hair Straightner definitely exceeded my expectations. It’s a cute styler that comes with some solid extras. The dust bag which is washable btw, pink hair clips that are large & don’t pull your hair, a part comb, a dropper which you will need to fill the tiny water reservoir & a heat resistant glove which is also washable. I have coarse 2c curly hair & really appreciate the heat settings. I chose the wavy/curly hair setting of 355 degrees. It does take 1-3 minutes for it to warm up to your selected temp so plan accordingly. My hair wasn’t so hot I couldn’t touch it after passing & I didn’t experience “smoke” as I passed the straighter over my hair like my ghd. So many pleasant surprises with this straightner system. I loved the comb too. The comb paired with the soft steam smoothed out my hair leaving it frizz free with a healthy glossy shine. It also made touch ups quick & easy. My hair was never pulled or snagged by the comb or the plates. My only con is filling the water reservoir which isn’t my favorite task & no girl I’m not going to empty it after each use at best I’ll stand it upright between uses. Oh & there’s no “button” to push to remove the water reservoir as the directions state it’s simply a nub of a tab on the side of the reservoir & you just sort of pop it out. There’s lots of flexibility with how you use this steam straightener; with or without steam or the comb along with multiple heat settings so there’s really something for everyone. The cord is thick, feels very solid, & swivels nicely which is great for ease of use. Overall the straightener itself feels & appears well constructed. The quality & the results are there along with a fantastic budget friendly price point which is currently at an additional 12% discount.

This Mist Iron Is Fabulous!
This steam flat iron is a great hair tool. This is my first time using an iron with a steam feature, and I think I prefer this to those without. This came with the flat iron (that has a fillable water well with a pipette; I used distilled water), a pair of gloves to protect hands, a long-tail comb, two hair clips and a sleeper bag with a drawstring.I used this on my hair and achieved very nice results. My hair is on the thick side, and this smoothed it all out. I love the way it made my hair feel. I think the mist added to that. I used this on the highest setting, and my hair came out polished. I didn’t even spray my hair or add any products after my usual wash and condition, and it looked like my hair does when I add anti-frizz and heat protectant to it. The mist is cool, so that probably helped keep heat damage at bay. The iron has a comb attachment that I liked as well, that helps guide the hair along the iron. This did a great job. Like most flat irons, you can’t really get all the way down to your scalp, but that’s the nature of the tool, so not a drawback. If you want to get that close, it would be better to finish with the the pencil thin type iron. The way this straightened my hair, I don’t need to do that.I think this is compact enough to travel with and just recommend it.

Steam is a good idea, but not useful in practice for me
Compared to my typical flat iron (Chi), this is okay. It’s a pretty color, nice aesthetic and I especially like that the hot plates aren’t right up to the edge of the iron so I don’t burn myself when it gets close to my face. I appreciate that the comb part along the plate is removable. As far as the steam goes, it’s tedious to fill the water chamber with the small pipette. It’s even more difficult to empty it when you’re done using it. For my fine hair, the steam didn’t do much but it did seem that my hair had static when I was done using it that wasn’t there before. Also worth noting, the plug is a normal plug, not a GFCI.

Smooth, glossy hair
This Danju cool mist flat iron does a great job at straightening my hair. My hair is long but somewhat thin and I can have it straightened within 5 minutes from start to finish. It leaves my hair smooth and shiny with minimal effort. The 1″ width makes this perfect for those with long hair as well as short hair. It features 3 temperature settings though I found that the medium setting works perfect on my hair. There is a removable comb that attaches if you prefer that though I found I prefer to use it without. It does feature steam that runs for 10 seconds at a time but only when the plates are closed. The reservoir is filled with water using a small pipette that is included. I’m not sure if the steam helps smooth my hair or not but I know my hair looks good afterwards. The only downside I found to this is that the temperatures are hard to see along the side. They are tiny and do not appear bright enough so you really have to shade the area to read them. They did include a nice little care package with some clips, a comb, a glove to keep you from getting burned, and a storage pouch.
