Label does not match description
According to the description, this hair mask comes from France, but when you read the label, it clearly states that it’s made in Turkey, so I don’t appreciate the false advertisement. Aside from the misleading information, the mask itself is terrible; it’s greasy, weighs the hair down and incredibly messy to use. As if that wasn’t bad enough, I saw no improvement when using it; on the contrary, it left my hair feeling oily and limp.

Effective hair mask
I liked this hair mask. I am using it instead of a conditioner. I just shampoo my hair, put this on it and leave it on for 15 minutes (they recommend 10 – 15), and then rinse it out. It makes my hair feel very smooth and I had no problems styling my hair after it dried. This made my hair look full and less dry, and given the ingredients will probably make my hair stronger and less likely to break. This also has a very pleasant, light floral scent. My only issue with this product is the packaging. It comes in a well sealed box, but the jar itself isn’t sealed. As a result, there was some of the product around the lower rim of the lid. This made the product look like it had been used, but likely it had just leaked out between the jar and the lid.

Arrived open, needs a better seal
This is a good, moisturizing hair mask. I didn’t think much of it when I first put it on. It feels like a drugstore moisturizer. It surprised me in the end, though, doing a fantastic job leaving my hair soft and silky. Even a day later, it feels strong and smooth, which can be a challenge, since I live in the desert with super low humidity. My one big complaint, however, is the packaging. The jar is boxed, but there’s no seal on the lid and the jar arrived open, the box wet and melted with a significant portion of the product smeared around and wasted. With better packaging, I would order this again. Even more so if the actual experience of using it got an upgrade.

Easy-To-Use Mask; Works Well
My hair is waist-length. While I avoid using heat on it, it still needs regular, more intensive care, in order to keep it looking healthy. Also, I’m getting older, so anything that makes it thicker, or even look healthier, is a good thing.This mask is in a nice, wide mouth container. It was easy to remove the product to apply. Applying the mask was easy. I was able to work it into my hair thoroughly. Even though I’m sensitive to fragrances, this product gave no issues including migraine nor allergies. I had no irritation or adverse reactions on my scalp. It rinsed off well without any oily or waxy residue.After my hair felt and looked nice. It didn’t feel heavy or weighed down. It styled nicely and did feel thicker. Overall, I do like this mask. I should get quite a few applications out of this, so the value is good.

Sketchy packaging, nice product
Others reported this coming opened and unsealed, with a loss of product. I was lucky in that mine was tight on arrival, but mine also didn’t have a seal. It’s not great to roll the dice on whether or not your package arrives in a usable manner.As for the product, it works well enough. Apply, work in, let it sit for 10-15min, then rinse. It’s like a longer use conditioner in that way. It worked well with my hair and made it feel softer and easier to manage. No complaints there.$15 for a haircare product designed in France feels nice though! It’s not too much for what you get (assuming you don’t get shipping problems like others reported)

Good hair mask
Introduction:I purchased this hoping to have some relief for my usually frizzy hair. I liked seeing the branding of the product and was hopeful since it states it is designed in France. The conditioner is very thick and is easily applied to my hair. I did not notice any significant difference in this and other hair masks I have used which I view as a good thing. I did not like that an alcohol product is one of the first ingredients. This is very common in hair care products and defeats the purpose of having a hydrating product if alcohol will dry it out.I would say this is a good product for the price and competes with other hair masks on the market.

Thick + Dense + Hair Mask
The LA RACHEL Hair Care Mask had different directions – compared to other hair masks I have used. The directions say to add this to dry or damp hair and wait 15 minutes before showering.The hair mask is white and comparing it to a daily conditioner, it was noticeably thicker. I started with my temples as that area of my hair seems to be dryer than other areas. I have several disposable shower caps so I applied it to dry hair and covered my hair with the cap. Waiting about 15-20 minutes I took care of a few household chores.Rinsing in the shower the first time I used this, my hair felt really good but when it was dry, my hair didn’t hold the style very well. After rinsing, I did find that my high air volume hair dryer did not tangle my hair when used on high. This is a good difference and a nice benefit.The next week after rinsing, I used a very watery shampoo on the roots only and had much better success with getting the styling to hold. Both times I had no issues the following day with styling. I think the LA RACHEL Hair Mask is just a bit heavy for my hair based on their suggested rinse only process – if I am needing to have a lasting style the same day. If I have a day or two where styling my hair is not necessary, I would follow the directions as is.The product is designed in Paris and made in Turkey. At the time I chose this product, the listing said country of origin was France. At the time of this review, the information has been corrected and shows the country of origin to be Turkey.I have used many made in France hair care products and notice very flowery scent that seems to be commonly used in this region. In my opinion this familiar flowery scent was used in this product as well, as a point of comparison. Most of the scent rinses out – although I can still smell it from time to time the following day.The jar is just over 10 oz and will do many treatments depending on whether I use it 1x per week or less. I would estimate 4-6 months.The jar from the manufacturer has a plastic drop in liner with a raised tab to remove it. This keeps the lid from getting gloppy if the jar is turned sideways or upside down. I suggest after opening the manufacturers box ( factory sealed with a safety seal on the top and bottom of the box ) to place the jar upright and tap it twice on the counter to allow the contents to settle. Then twist off the main lid and using the tiny finger hold on the secondary cover, lift slightly and slide it along the top of the jar, leaving anything that was attached to the secondary seal – in the jar. When my jar arrived, it looked like the jar was almost overflowing. After tapping it on the counter, the contents settled, leaving about 1/2” air gap at the top. This gap made the product easier to handle.I like using this LA RACHEL Hair Mask on my hair and I like the way my hair feels afterwards. I have worked out how to make my hair easier to style the same day, with the details outlined above.

Great, but…
First off, I’m pretty confident I received a used product that was repackaged to look like it was new. (See picture). The lid was badly scuffed, it seemed there was product smeared on the outside too. The sealed inside lid was stuck in the exterior lid when i first open, but eventually loosened and fell back on product container. There was product around the rim of the container where the seal should have been. So despite the quality of product, that did not impress me.Now, since it was not a consumable product, I decided to try it anyways and I really loved it and how it made my hair feel and look. It made my hair super soft and airy feeling and smelled great. I left in for 10-15 minutes as directed.Id recommend but wished I received a container that was unopened and new to me.
