I have a couple of problems with this device, and foremost is the fact that it’s not clearly stated that this is potentially dangerous if used improperly. If you get this, read the instructions carefully. Seriously.While the ad says it works with blond hair, that’s highly unusual for this type of laser hair removal device. Generally, these IPL devices work best with fair skin and dark hair. They generally can be ineffective on blond, gray or colored hair, and can be dangerous for people with dark skin.I’m seeing claims of skin rejuvenation and acne clearance that I’m not seeing from any other IPL device. I cannot tell whether those claims are legit, so I’ll focus on hair removal.I have tested several of these IPL hair removal devices and see very little difference. We’re talking devices that sell in the $50 range all the way up to this one at the highest end of the spectrum.The most important thing to do is know that this device will not deliver results overnight. Effective treatment takes many weeks, and the result for some will be not better than a slowing of hair growth.I’m rating this device as average three stars because I nothing special here to justify the lofty price.My suggestion is to shop around and compare features. If you believe the claims of acne treatment and skin rejuvenation are legit, then maybe it’s value added.

Seems good so far!
I am comparing this another Phillips IPL light that I have used with good results but did not keep up with the maintenance so I am once again starting my laser journey with this device. Off the bat the fact there is no limited amount of flashes, the cooling setting, and 2 year warranty are a huge plus for this one.The device was easy to use once I read through the manual. Similar to other devices, you do a skin test first to ensure you don’t have a negative reaction to it and find the power level you are comfortable at.I have sensitive skin and started use with my underarms at the second lowest level and went over the area 3 times.With the automatic setting and the handle design it really is quick to cover the whole area and repeat.I will say the light feels more powerful than my previous device so definitely still test and start on lower power even if you have used IPL before.Overall I’m pretty happy with it and look forward to seeing results following the 12 week timeline!

Seems to work, so far
I am pretty impressed with the overall function of this little laser. It comes with everything you need to get started, including eye protection and multiple lamp covers.I have been using it for a few weeks and notice a thinning of the hair that is growing back, and it seems to grow back softer. I have not seen full removal of hair, but I know it’s a process that takes some time. Please note, I am the ideal coloring for this, as I have fair/olive skin and dark hair. Make sure you read the instructions because this isn’t meant for all skin and hair types.I will say, it’s not compact or discreet, I have had smaller hair removal systems before. But, with that, they didn’t work as well so maybe there is something in the size of this one. It also has various covers to place on it, which apparently allow for other functions besides hair removal, but I have only used the hair removal one.I did knock a star off because it’s not quite as simple as plug and go. You want to read through the setup, the covers are not as clearly marked as I would like, although I did figure it out in the end. Overall it is a good machine that seems to be on the way to making a difference for me.

Definitely Decreases amount of hair
So I have been using this IPL for about a month now, and have used similar IPL devices at home. So the directions say to use 1-2 times a week, but I have been doing it three times a week. This causes ZERO irritation, even on the highest setting. It does not hurt what so ever. The cooling/freeze function works SO well, I think this is why it does not hurt at all. Similar IPL at home devices that I have used did not have the cooling function and it felt like a rubber band snap when they worked, so this is a huge plus. Now after using this three times a week for a month, I am seeing a dramatic difference in quantity of hair. It has not getting rid of all the hair (using on my chin and upper lip), but it has drastically reduced it, and I believe it has slowed the regrowth as well. There is also two other laser lights that help with acne, scarring, and cell rejuvenation, but I have not tried these functions yet. So I will keep using this in hopes it continues to reduce the growth. Great deal and price for an at home laser remover.

No pain at all
I was so pleasantly surprised that there were zero pains for using this product. I followed the instruction exactly – shave ahead of time, wear eye protection and avoid directly looking at the laser, taking it slow to make sure the equipment doesn’t over heat (but can still do one leg easily each time) – and I so far have zero issues, and the device was very easy to use. I will need a few more sessions to see more obvious effects – I have realistic expectation that I know no tools can forever remove the hairs – but I do see a decrease in the hair volume already. There are 3 colored attachments for different light wavelengths and functions (hair removal, skin rejuvenation, and acne clearance), but I highly doubt that there’s obvious effect with these different colors. So far, I’ve mostly only used the hair removal attachment. I don’t know the price for a professional laser hair removal session, but this is a nifty tool if the price works for you.

It really works and the instructions are clear so it is very easy to use. There is not a lot of pain involved so that is a pliant the design is sleek and my legs are left feeling smooth.

So Far So Good
This is an at-home laser hair removal tool. The product is very similar to those treatments you would receive professionally, but at a small portion of that professional cost. Overall, I am happy with the build quality and safety features of this product – especially considering the value point this product is at. As you may be aware, these treatments are not quick – they can take several weeks of treatments to show the effects. I can comment that the treatment itself produces no redness, irritation, nor pain at any significant degree – which is a great start. The kit comes with 3 different lamp shades, affecting the type of treatment applied to the skin. I like that the tool will not fire without a lamp shade on, nor, will it fire unless it is pressed against skin. This safety feature set will help reduce any accidental misuse. There is also a pair of sunglasses included as well which is a nice touch. You can set a 1 to 5 energy intensity level, and I keep mine right in the middle for all uses. I use this product once per week, going over the affected section once, and there is a 10 to 12 week period in the treatment. After this period, the manual states to go over the area once a month. The digital readout screen is easy to read, it includes information about the shade type used, the number of shots applied, as well as the laser intensity. I am looking forward to this product’s results, as it is built well from start to finish.
