Moisturizes My Scalp
Lately I have been having issues with dry scalp that tends to flake in some areas. I purchased this to see if it helps moisturize my scalp and reduce the flaking. I’ve been using it for a week and so far I haven’t noticed any side effects or problems. I use it after shampooing and then rinse it off after about 5-10 minutes. I do feel that the scalp feels moisturized after use, so I’m hoping that with frequent use it will lessen the dryness.Thank you for taking the time to read my review and photos of this product. The shampoo alone does the trick
This smells ok, it works very well, but it’s hard to rinse it off you leave it for any appreciable amount of time. Like only long enough to wash your body and shave your calves. It’s a solid mess by then and takes an awful lot of water to get out. And definitely don’t apply it near the roots. It’ll never come out

Rate: 3.5/5 Desert Essence Dry Scalp Care Conditioner 8oz ($12.49)I’m a huge fan of tea tree oil and have used several different brands of shampoo and conditioner with it in the past. But this conditioner has many other great ingredients as well, such as aloe, jajoba, coconut, manuka, rosemary, and peppermint among others (full list below).- The consistency of this conditioner is about light-medium viscosity (on a scale of thin being watery and thick being a balm – this is close to medium, but on the thinner side like a lotion).- It’s lightweight.- It doesn’t leave my hair feeling heavy, or like there is left-in product.- Likewise, it isn’t as hydrating as other conditioners that leave my hair softer.Generally speaking, I have a love-hate relationship with conditioners. I have a hard time finding one that walks the fine line between hydrating enough without weighing my hair down. This conditioner certainly doesn’t weigh my hair down, but I also don’t feel like it is hydrating enough for my curls. So, I put a mask over the mid to tips when I use this for added hydration.To get good use of the AHA, tea tree, and other oils, I let this conditioner sit on my hair for a few minutes before washing out. I alternate between letting the conditioner actually sit on my scalp and not.Of note, the webpage states that because this product has an alpha hydroxy acid, it “may increase your skin’s sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.”I use the corresponding shampoo before this conditioner.This isn’t my favorite conditioner. It’s a good one for people with dry scalps, and it’s a good one for people with thinner hair. I’m glad to add it to my rotation. Doesn’t Weigh My Hair Down
Great conditioner for my scalp and hair roots without weighing down. Not heavy and my roots can maintain normal volume unlike using regular conditioner on my scalp. Since, it’s not heavy, it’s not overly hydrating for the rest of my hair, so I use an additional conditioner for hydrating and detangling my mid hair through my tips and only apply this to my scalp. No irritation, doesn’t cause extra hair fall out and my scalp is less dry. I like the smell (minty with Tea Tree), which is not overpowering. Also, has Rosemary, which is great for hair follicles. US product and good value.

This conditioner is perfect for dry, itchy scalps! It’s lightweight, yet super moisturizing, leaving my hair soft and shiny without feeling greasy. The formula soothes irritation and helps reduce flakes. I love that it’s silicone-free and made with natural ingredients. It has a nice, light scent and rinses out easily. I massaged it into my scalp for about 1 minute. I felt a tingling sensation when massaging, which felt great. Highly recommend for anyone with a dry scalp!
