This is the merger of a clean shave with a trim!
Im not sure why no one has built this sooner and if they have why I have never seen it! The traditional razor to give you a close shave and an electric trimmer on the other end all rolled up into 1! Truely the best of both worlds.

Smooth & Close Shave
I was pleasantly surprised with these Dollar Shave razors. For the last 20 years I’ve only used certain name brand, high end razors. However, these razors were better in many aspects.The shave felt smoother around my face and especially my neck. The trimmer was the best I’ve used for my side burns. The biggest pitfall of this razor is that it is rather large and the trimmer for around my nose was not adequate(however, if you are rocking a mustache this wouldn’t be an issue.)Overall, these razors provide an excellent shaving experience.

Trimmer set, not a subscription
I gave this Dollar Shave Club 3-in-1 freestyler pack to my husband, and he thought I was giving him a subscription to their club. There is no subscription with this product, it’s just a double-sided razor/trimmer that comes with extra blade refills. It’s nice when you can get multiple uses out of just one product, but my husband said this one was a bit awkward to use, or at least awkward to hold because one side seemed heavier than the other. You also have to be cautious if you are trying to switch back and forth that you utilize the razor caps that come with this, or you’ll get caught up in the moment and accidentally cut your hand. There is definitely an adjustment period with getting used to handling this one. It does a pretty decent job trimming and shaving although he said he had other individual products that he thinks he prefers more. This one does the job, it isn’t bad, just personal preference for other more familiar products. For getting both items in one package though plus all the blade replacements, the price isn’t unreasonable. It’ll make for a nice backup or something to travel with and have everything in one tool.

This shaver’s concept was probably better on paper
This is one of the product combos that seems to make sense in theory, but once that concept is brought into being, you realize having them separate was fine—and actually better.Build quality of this is fine and the materials are nice. The razor cartridge itself gives a smooth enough and close enough shave, similar to the majority of the budget-conscious Big Razor alternatives out there. The handle is a little weird because it’s so thick, and the balance of the whole thing feels off. You’d do better just using a regular premium disposable cartridge razor.The trimmer is pretty disappointing. The whole thing is too small, the blade is small, and the integrated sliding guard isn’t really effective or useful given how small everything is. The trimmer motor is also underpowered. It’s like a trimmer for ants.Overall, pass on this unless you’re in a situation in which you can absolutely only have one razor. Otherwise, enjoy the superior performance of separate, non-integrated razors and trimmers. You won’t be missing out.

Not what it used to be.
We’ve used DSC for years. Ran out of blades and ordered more. Had to buy a new handle but we’ve seen that before. Bought this handle for the trimmer. DSC is nothing like what it used to be. Read they were bought out by a large razor corp. I don’t know. What I do know is what I said. We even bought the more expensive razors knowing they’re usually better. The razors don’t cut close and the trimmers are horrible. They barely cut hair and are a complete waste of time.

Awkward to use as a razor or trimmer. Not easy to work with – no sense of finesse or balance.
I wanted to like this razor/trimmer combo, but this thing is just awkward to use. I’m almost at a loss to know where to begin. I’ve been shaving for over 40 years, so when razors started having three blades – I thought that was a bit ridiculous. So with these razor heads with six blades – I’m not sure who that’s supposed to appeal to… The blade-collection on the razor head is so big and unwieldy I find it almost useless.Adding to the difficulty is the handle of the razor. Since the rechargeable trimmer is built in, it’s heavy and difficult to maneuver with any finesse. The trimmer itself is not very effective to get detail areas – for example under the nose. Maybe it would be good for travel, but for a day-to-day tool you’re really going to want a separate razor and trimmer – two tools that do their individual jobs well. This combo doesn’t ‘cut’ it.
