What actually surprised me was how my hair felt after. Makes my hair so shiny and smooth, but there are couple of things…

Before getting this hairdryer, I’d been using a mid-range model for about a year and noticed an improvement in my hair’s overall health since switching from my old basic one. The main difference was less breakage, though some of my ever-present frizz was still there, just to a slightly lesser degree. I was really curious to see if a more advanced, high-end hairdryer would make an even bigger difference, and this one’s essence feature and red-light therapy gave it an edge over the others.Appearance 🖼️This hairdryer is, by far, the most luxurious-looking model I’ve ever seen. The pictures don’t do it justice because it’s even more impressive in person. I’ve seen some nice hairdryers before, but this one is on a whole other level—the kind you’d expect to see in the bathroom of some opulent mansion. I’m usually not one to gush over appearances, but this hairdryer has such a fancy, almost designer look that I would leave it on my bathroom countertop to show off if I weren’t worried about my kids wrecking it. As it is, I still get to keep it in the gorgeous leather storage box it came in, so I certainly don’t feel hard done by.Features and Performance ⚡️🔹 AI & Modes: Appearance aside, it has quite a few interesting features that my mid-range hairdryer doesn’t, but it also lacks basic manual control options. With most hairdryers, you have the option to choose the wind speed and the heat level, mixing and matching as you see fit. This one skips simple controls and instead offers AI mode or a selection of preset modes. I’m on the fence about the missing manual control. On the one hand, I haven’t found the need to set anything manually and probably never will, but on the other, it almost seems a bit reductive to not have the option, even if I never actually use it. If you’re the type of person who is used to fine-tuning the controls, it may take some time to adjust to.For me, I let the AI take the wheel probably 95% of the time. I really like how it adjusts the wind speed and temperature based on the distance between my head and the dryer, so it never blows too strongly or gets too hot. Even so, it dries my hair in just a few minutes, all without blasting it with super high heat or wind, which is something I (and my breakage-prone hair) greatly appreciate. It’s a little heavier than my old hairdryer, but it’s comfortable to hold, and the extra weight doesn’t bother me. One minor thing about the button placement is that I’ve accidentally pressed the bottom button (mode) a couple of times while drying my hair. It’s not a big deal as it’s easy enough to switch back to the mode I was using, but it occurred to me that it might happen more frequently for someone with larger hands, so I thought it was worth mentioning. I can definitely say it’s a lot more powerful than any of my previous hairdryers, because every time the AI switches gears, my bathroom lights dim for a brief moment.As for the modes, I think the instructions could have provided a bit more detail about each mode and when it would be most appropriate to use it. Regardless, it’s fairly easy to infer what each mode offers by looking at the display to see the preset speed and temperature settings are. While I’ve tried out every mode, the only one I use regularly is the cooling mode, and occasionally “Comfort Care” for finishing touches. It’s not that there’s anything wrong with the other modes; it’s just that I have very fine, thin hair, so I generally prefer to stick to the gentler settings.🔹 EssenceI have a bit of a love-hate relationship with the essence. I love it because it smells absolutely wonderful and seems to work some type of magic to make my hair noticeably smoother and shinier. I suppose hate may have been too strong a word, and it could just be a lack of patience on my part, but I don’t enjoy having to fill the essence cartridge after every 2-3 uses. I do it anyways because I really like the results I get, and I’ll buy more when I run out, but that doesn’t change the fact that I find it inconvenient having to refill it so frequently. The instructions say to use the essence once your hair is about 80% dry, but even if I wait until my hair is 95% dry and only use it for 30-45 seconds, I still need to refill it more often than I’d like. Granted, not everyone will balk at having to perform this one-minute task after every few uses, but it’s something to consider. Quick tip: Be careful when you’re filling the essence cartridge. The first time I attempted to fill it, I ended up with a whole bunch flowing out and onto the table. It’s not that it was full, but I think I may not have positioned the pipette correctly or I may have squeezed the bulb too forcefully. Just make sure the pipette is positioned correctly and fill it slowly.🔹 Red Light TherapySince I’ve only been using this hairdryer for a month, it’s too soon to tell if it’s making a difference to the health of my hair and scalp. I’ve had less hair fall the last couple of weeks, but I can’t conclusively attribute that to the red light therapy, as the amount of hair fall I experience varies naturally.🔹 Performance/ResultsAs for the results I get using this hairdryer, it’s made a huge difference. After the first use, I was shocked at how shiny and smooth my hair looked. I walked into the kitchen afterwards, and my daughter said “Wow, your hair looks so good today! Why is it so shiny?” The funny part is that I hadn’t even curled my hair yet, which does a lot to smooth it out and hide the frizz. Since I have such fine, thin hair, I always had to curl my hair after blow-drying, otherwise it would be a frizzy mess. With this hairdryer, my hair looks so smooth and polished that I don’t need to curl it afterward unless I want curly hair. I’m really looking forward to seeing what my hair looks like in a year, because I truly believe the health of my hair will continue to improve because of it. All in all, the results I get from this hairdryer far exceeded my expectations.Overall, even though there are a few minor things I don’t love about the hairdryer, the benefits I get far outweigh them. To be fair, I haven’t tried any other high-end hairdryers, so I can’t really draw any comparisons, but I can’t imagine anyone being less than impressed. I would absolutely recommend this hairdryer to anyone who wants shinier, healthier, and amazing looking hair, whether it’s for yourself or as a gift. Taking over engineering to the next level and I love it

To begin this hair dryer is way too fancy for my basic hair drying needs. Yes, I have a Dyson Supersonic which does everything I ask of it, but this takes it to the next level.To begin, the design is very similar to the Supersonic, the same goes for weight and balance. Where it does differ is it doesn’t have the pass through hole like with the Supersonic, instead there is a screen in the back, which displays the different modes and settings. The filter is located at the bottom of the unit like the Supersonic but is attached magnetically instead of mechanically. The outlet connector is bulkier than that of the Supersonic so it may not fit in tight spaces.Despite the similarities it remains a beautiful hair dryer; the rose gold colour, shape, and design all go together very well. It comes inside a storage box along with several different attachments (an unfrizz nozzle, smoothing nozzle, styling nozzle and a diffuser nozzle) and a bottle of “Essence”.I don’t think I would ever take it with me on vacation, as it takes up a fair bit of room, I would rather just pick up a smaller portable hair dryer for that purpose. The nozzles are nozzles nothing too special; they do as they are intended. Note, however, that with an attachment installed, the red light therapy light and essence diffuser are covered up.There is a red light therapy ring that is meant to promote scalp health. Whether or not it actually provides any benefits, I can’t tell. With that said to use it, you will need the hair dryer with no attachments.Earlier, I mentioned a bottle of “Essence” and an essence diffuser. This thing is interesting; it’s basically a magnetic capsule that is meant to be filled with hair essence fluid. According to the instructions, dry till 80% dry using whatever mode/attachment you prefer; then at the end switch to “Essence” mode which will spritz the essence formula into the hair. It’s meant to provide shine and smooth out the hair, my hair is short so I don’t really don’t benefit from this but I can see how it would be nice for someone with long hair.The transition between modes/heat settings is done smoothly and quickly, it takes about a second for the dryer output to change heat settings.Much like the Supersonic this is over engineered but more so, way more than I would ever need and I love it for that.
