Outstanding, everything I’ve tried from Ecru is NOURISHING

I was first introduced to the Ecru brand when I found their single step hair color glaze. The glaze is amazing and even colors my stubborn gray hairs, it does not completely disappear even after multiple washes. Based on that experience I’ve started to use other products and have been very happy to add them to my routine.At the time of place in the order scalp and hair mask was $48 for 4 oz, which I think is fair. I have long hair which goes about 3 inches past my shoulders. I need just over an ounce to completely massage my scalp and then pull the mask through to the tips of my hair, by being careful. I can get three treatments from the tube which is $16 a treatment and totally worth it in my opinion.I have an extremely physical job as well as a large active vegetable garden, I am out in all temperatures of weather, even the extreme hot and cold which can wreck havoc on your hair, scalp and skin.This mask as well as any other product I’ve tried with Ecru is in one word nourishing.I don’t have problems with my hair or scalp other than getting gray hair and trying to avoid stripping my scalp but over cleaning, sometimes I need two showers a day.So far I’ve done two applications, I had received this mask in a kit a few months ago and really enjoyed it, especially layered with their other products.NOURISHINGThat’s really the word that I think of when I think of Ecru products. There’s absolutely no chemical feel or scent, the mask is a dense creaminess that feels luxurious. My scalp and hair feel hydrated without feeling greasy or feeling any leftover product.My hair is soft and silky for several weeks after using it. My scalp feels calm and hydrated, which might sound odd. But during the summertime I’ve got sunscreen UV protectant for my hair, I’m wearing hats. I’m sweating like crazy, Connecticut has had some very serious heat the past couple of weeks and all of this grime is just building up in my scalp and my hair.

Great Set, Clean Soft Hair

I was very fortunate to have received the shampoo earlier on, so I was able to do both steps.My hair, after using both the shampoo and mask is very soft and very clean. I do have colored hair and had no issues using this. There’s a huge difference in how light my hair feels and I’ve noticed that my hair didn’t feel oily over the next few days. Typically, while not severe, my hair without products tends to get heavier and more stringy a day later.This time around, I found using this set, my hair still looks great four days out. Has saved a lot of time skipping having to wash and condition it each shower. It literally still looks good.While I don’t suffer from a lot of scalp problems, I will say my skin feels clean and I have no build up.The shampoo alone can be drying, at least it felt like that for me, and I would recommend watching using it often or without at least a conditioner if you don’t have the mask.If you have problems with build up or scalp issues, this may be something that is worth while to try. The price point for the set is salon priced but given my experience, I feel it is worth it. I plan to use it once a week and on shoulder length hair, this set will last a good while.Plus the entire thing is made in the USA, a definite perk.

I have the world’s most unfortunate hair – it’s dry, frizzy, and the bad kind of wavy. It’s ombre’d and has recently started to feel like was in need of some extra nourishment. Plus, my scalp has been starting to itch which means that there’s build up. I recently ordered ECRU New York’s Scalp + Hair Renewal Masque. This is a 4 ounce bottle of hair mask that is designed to provide deep hydration to the hair and scalp, leaving it nourished while restoring strength and shine. I used this for the first time after doing a scalp cleanse and then applying the masque. I was surprised to find that it has no fragrance, which is fine but unusual. Initially, it felt like I was going to need to use more product than I expected but resisted the urge to apply more. After 5 minutes, I rinsed it clean – noting that my hair didn’t feel any softer or mind flowingly different than before I used it. But, then the magic happened. I let my hair air dry and as it dried, I started to feel an incredible difference. My hair was smooth, ever strand felt different than before. Maybe it felt stronger – I haven’t found the right word. It was soft. It felt nourished and hydrated. It looked really shiny. I woke up this morning after using it last night and noticed that my hair is significantly less frizzy than it was before. I’m blown away by how I was initially feeling underwhelmed but how much that changed as it dried. I am now completely impressed! What a high quality and really great hair and scalp masque this is! I had no adverse reactions – only tremendous benefits. I can’t wait to use this as my hair needs that extra love. Price wise, it feels like a lot, but ECRU New York is a premium brand with a premium price. Considering I’ll get likely around 8-10 uses out of one bottle, I think it’s reasonably priced and the benefits are insurmountable in value for my unfortunate hair.

Usually the last step

By the time I reach for this, I’m basically finished washing my hair. I squeeze out some of the extra water first, spread a small amount between both hands, then smooth it through the middle and ends before working whatever is left into the rest of my hair. I leave it on while I finish everything else in the shower, then rinse it out right before getting out. My hair has been easier to brush once it’s towel dried, especially around the ends where it usually catches a little. The texture feels rich while I’m applying it, but it rinses away cleanly and doesn’t leave my hair feeling coated afterward. At this point I’ve settled into using it the same way each time, so the tube has just ended up staying beside my conditioner because that’s where I naturally reach for it now.
