Nice quality shaver that has a lot of versatility.
I have tried a few of these shavers so I do have a frame of reference for comparison. This one interested me due to it being a totally different design than my others. This one is a more beefy and quality design, it really feels like a nice quality piece. It has a nice clear window that displays the speed and battery level. The blade is sharp and it cuts with ease. It comes with a bottle of oil, a cape, and a USB-C charger. The handle attaches to the shaver nice and securely and I like the fact that it is in two pieces. There are certain parts of my back that I don’t need the full length of the handle. It can get in the way depending on the angle and it’s nice that I can take half of it off. I do like that you have 24” of reach though. There are some other shavers that have a really short handle and I really have to strain my shoulder to get the middle of my back. It has a nice selection of high quality guards for trimming your hair. This is not going to give you a smooth “razor-like” shave, it’s more for a nice close tight cut and it does that well. Overall, Im really pleased with this shaver. It has several advantages over others that I have used. I would highly recommend it. It’s a very versatile and quality shaver.

Unique & Practical
It was during COVID times that I got really into cutting my own hair to avoid one other window of being indoors in public where I could potentially get sick and bring it back to my sick mom. I’ve been using a standard pair of clippers and have gotten quite good at it. However, I was eager to up my game. This BuzzReach arc gives me newfound unparalleled control over where and how the cutting blade contacting my head is angled. I’ve been choking up on the shaft of my standard cutters to get this effect, but the naturally stubby handle of this trimmer keeps my hand close to the cutting edge for maximum control. This pro level of control stands out especially when I’m attacking the difficult “peach fuzz” style hair at the very top of my neck.The packaging of the whole set is manly and aggressive. The guards really remind of bear paws with how wide they are to accommodate the entire bottom of the shaver. The included haircut cape has the graphic stylings of a hip, retro look. There is the smallest amount of play in the shaver when secured in the back-reach extender, but it is so slight it doesn’t affect any shaving precision. The shaver stays in when you want and pops out easily when it’s time to remove it. The shaver listing the two RPM values instead of the typical “hi” and “low” power settings is pretty intense. Add this shaver to your grooming arsenal!

Multi-purpose shaver, works well for most areas
Here’s my honest take on this back shaver.This kit comes with a lot stuff, so it’s not just a back shaver. The back shaver part of it is only give it a 3 star review for. It kinda works, but it’s difficult getting in the right position. When I used it I missed several spots. It is water proof so you can definitely use it in the shower, which I did. The problem is that it’s hard to tell where it’s already been and getting the right amount of pressure applied to it to get a good shave. I still ended up having to have my spouse get the areas that I missed on my back. My other complaint is that it doesn’t cut as close of a shave as I would have liked – but if your goal is to just make you not look like a hairy gorilla at the pool – this will do the trick.This does come with several attachments for shaving your own head – which is great. My only wish with that aspect of it is that the longest attachment is 1/2” which is a little shorter than I’d like for the top of my head.The shaver does cut well. I’ve always used it shave the downstairs region and it did a good job – though I would definitely not recommend shaving the the beans with it.It’s comfortable to hold and has a decent battery life.Bottom line, I really like the shaver itself it’s easy to use and does the job. If you don’t have anyone willing to shave your back for you, it’s better than nothing.

VALLNEI BuzzReach Arc 24-in Convertible Back Shaver & Self-Haircut ClipperI sampled this convertible grooming set to see if it could handle both trimming my remaining hair and reaching those impossible spots on my back. Aging shoulders make reaching behind my shoulder blades a real chore nowadays, so an extra two feet of reach sounded like a clever fix.Opening the box, the cardboard container held everything together neatly without an overwhelming amount of waste. Pulling the components out of the container, I was impressed by how solid the long folding arm felt in my hands.The main clipper unit slots right into the extension pole with a surprisingly tight friction fit. I double-checked the latching point a couple times to make sure the vibrating head wouldn’t slide loose while sweeping across my lower back.Using the long reach handle definitely requires a bit of a learning curve to get the angle right against my skin. It took me a few minutes in front of the mirror to figure out how much pressure to apply without scraping or bouncing the blade off my shoulder blades.When I popped the clipper unit out of the arm to use it freehand on my head, the wide curved blade felt comfortable against my scalp. The motor runs smooth and gives off two clear speed settings that you can adjust using the power button.The included guard attachments snap into place fine, though even the shortest guard leaves slightly more stubble than a bare razor shave would. The clippers themselves work great. I am not sure I understand why there are two different power settings, but I guess if your hairy enough to have hair all over your back that maybe we need some extra power to get through that jungle. I found that the 24″ attachment did allow me to do most of the trimming by myself, but upon closer inspection I did a bang up job – not the clippers fault, but my own. The curved blade is kind of weird, but actually allowed me to get the contours of by back while I was reaching to get behind me. I laughed at the fact that this came with a drape but I guess if you are using the clippers to cut your own hair it makes sense. I don’t think I’ll be using the different clipper attachments myself, but I’m sure these would come in handy for guys who want to keep it high and tight, and cut their own hair. In terms of function, the clippers themselves cut nicely and I didn’t cut myself at all. I like the digital readout so that I know when I need to recharge. The handle attachment isn’t perfect, I found that because it is kind of awkward to reach behind your head that I ended up pulling the clippers out of the attachment on accident. The hold isn’t the best, but totally doable if you’re careful. In terms of price, I’m a little conflicted because I know other body hair trimmers run close to $100, but they don’t have a handle that allows me to get my back…. It’s probably worth the price because I hate going to the lake or the pool in my natural skin sweater, and my wife doesn’t love to shave my back :). Only giving this 4 stars because I think the handle could attach more securely to the clippers.
