Hardly heated and uncomfortable
I’m so bummed by this heated soak-off bowl. The removal of gel polishes is easily the worst part of going the DIY route. I’m always looking for a way to make it less unpleasant – removers, tools, peel-off base coats, whatever! I’ve heard heat helps, both the removal process, but also to make it more comfortable and less freezing during soaking.Unfortunately, this heated bowl just isn’t it. The heat is truly minimal. At full heat, it is only a few degrees above room temp. More pleasant than just soaking raw by a little, but not enough to really do anything. I also highly doubt that small amount of heat does anything to speed up the process. (NOTE: I see in other reviews that other people say it is far too hot! Best case scenario, this is bad quality control and I received a broken product, and worst case scenario, this heated product might be a fire risk if people have such variable temps!)To make it worse, its uncomfortable! My hand seems to not be shaped right for this product. While it does have larger holes on the sides for thumbs, everything is just too spread out to be comfortable. It felt like I was trying to palm a basketball the whole time.Filling and emptying it is also a problem. I don’t see how anyone would be able to empty this without spilling. I’m dexterous, and with the little flimsy bowl full of acetone, I still managed to spill. You also can’t really see the fill line when it’s in the bowl, so either you fill with a guess and a dream or you spill the right amount of product.I was so excited for something that would make my gel removal easier and more relaxing. Unfortunately, this isn’t that product.

Nice bowl. Takes a bit to warm up so make sure you pay attention to the lights. Add your acetone, power up and allow to warm to green and then place fingers in. Will beep when the first cycle is done. May require multiple cycles depending on what you are removing.I usually pour in the acetone and then finish getting the rest of my tools ready (files, pusher, paper towel, nippers etc) and then it is warmed up.Works well for hot oil manicures as well.

seems like a gimmick
This electric nail soak-off bowl gently warms acetone for gel removal and includes a lid to trap fumes. It’s easy to use and comes with a cuticle pusher, adapter, and manual. I didn’t really find it more effective than a regular unheated soak.

Electric Nail Soaking Bowl
Works great for removing gel! The heated soak bowl makes polish come off so much easier, and the stainless steel cuticle pusher is a nice bonus. Comfortable to use and speeds up the whole removal process—perfect for at-home manicures.

Great! But dip + fake nails will still take a long time.
I love the concept of this bowl! For me I would have liked it to be just a tiny bit hotter. I think I made a mistake of using this for fake nails with dip that I had done. My mom and I regularly do our nails together and have gotten pretty good. I had a set that didn’t seem like it wanted to come off like many of my others have. So I decided to try this. I only barely roughed them up on the outside. I SHOULD have sanded them down a bit more. I think having the fake nails is what probably threw it off. It had to dissolve the dip and it dissolved the fake nails. So it took a LONG time. But I think if it was only for basic nail polish or gel this would work fantastic – as advertised.

Might be a tad uncomfortable for short fingers & small hands, but great otherwise!
I filled the bowl with acetone to the included line, which I think says 60mL, but could be 50mL, and I can get my fingers down into the acetone, but only if I keep my hand upright, can’t actually rest my palm down on the dome part or else my fingers end up too high to reach the acetone. However, I admit that I have small hands and short fingers so this won’t be an issue for everyone; to give some context to size from my picture, I wear a size 2 ring on my pinky, the ring in my picture on my ring finger is a 3.5 or 4 I think, and my thumb is a size 6. I’m a little wary of overfilling it so that’s something I’ll have to carefully test in future uses, but it does work fine as is with the current fill line so I’m happy to keep using this.Otherwise, I had no issues with the soaking bowl. I forgot to time how long it took to heat up the acetone, aka to go from the red “start” to green “heat” but it was only a couple of minutes. It does beep when it reaches the “heat” or ready state and again after 15 minutes is up (automatic built in timer) when you’ve done a full cycle and gotten to the yellow “finish” setting. This is especially handy if you’re say multitasking by watching tv while doing your nails and might not be staring at the bowl the entire time.I personally haven’t had any issues with this getting too hot, I was comfortable the entire time (other than the positioning I mentioned above, which was made less awkward of an angle when I stood up rather than try to keep my hand up like that while still sitting). I also think that this will be handy for removing really stubborn regular non-gel polishes too, like some of the heavy sparkle polishes that I have, although maybe I wouldn’t leave my hand in for the full 15 minutes if removing regular lacquer. I like that this generates less overall mess or waste compared to the cotton ball & foil strip method so while this does add to the number of nail gadgets I now need to store, I’m happy to have it in my arsenal.

Works Great and Easy to Use
This soak off bowl works really well and is easy to use. It heats up just right but takes a bit to warm up. Makes removing gel polish a lot easier. I like that it has a lid to keep the smell from escaping, which helps a lot. Feels well made and comes with everything you need, including a nice cuticle pusher. Definitely a great tool to have for doing nails at home.
