I bought the ALL DAY GOT HOLD Extreme Hold Coconut Oil Edge Control because I wanted something strong enough to tame stubborn baby hairs and keep my edges sleek without cracking or flaking. Overall, it does a really good job for everyday wear and even for days when I push it past 8–10 hours.The coconut oil base makes it feel nice on the hair and scalp, it isn’t drying or crumbly and it glides on smoothly without pulling. When I brush my edges into place and smooth, the hold actually lasts through humidity, light sweating, and regular movement. My edges stay laid without needing mid-day touch-ups, which is exactly what I was hoping for.It’s easy to apply without feeling super greasy, yet it’s firm enough that my hairline keeps its shape all day. Leaves a white cast on the hair when dries
Works really good holds really long but does leave a white cast on the hair when it’s drying so the formula does need a lot of work the texture is nice and the scent is normal smell not to harsh can hold even 4c hair .

The sweet and fresh smell of coconut from the jar is delightfully nice but its just too very lightly scented. Once on your hair you do not smell anything at all. I wouldn’t want any perfumes on my hair of course but I did wish for the natural sweet coconut smell to linger a bit. Unfortunately, it does not but luckily, thats not a deal breaker. At least it doesn’t smell bad. Product looks and feels in both the texture and the thickness like vaseline. However, per ingredient list there is no petroleum in this product at all. What is noted on the ingredient list instead is hydrogenated castor oil, Argania spinosa kernel oil, hydrolized keratin, & of course coconut oil, which are all ingredients that are known to be great for moisturizing hair, sealing hair follicles, and preventing hair breakage. Obviously this product is just edge control but having these healthy moisturizing components in it makes me happy to have purchased it, because my hair is dry and and extremely thin. Therefore, hydrating and protecting it is important to me. As far as the hold, I would not say its extreme hold but it does have enough hold for some light to moderate styles. What is impressive though is that the hold is not stiff or crunchy. It goes on smoothly without being greasy or sticky and it does not flake once dry. I love it to tame the fly-aways and frizz. I would not say that it is all day hold as you do have to reapply after a couple of hours especially if very active or in a windy or humid environment, but overall Im happy with the product because I can tame my fly aways and frizz all while knowing Im using ingredients that are hydrating and protecting my hair. Got Hold? Well, you sure do now!!!
Welp. It sure does what it says! This is like nothing I’ve experienced before. As far as maneuvering it for edges? I don’t see how. I feel like an edge brush would break under the pressure of trying to go through any hair type with this stuff on it. This stuff is THEE-UCK (super thick). Like, “hold-the-container-upside-down-and-it-won’t-budge” thick. It’s not sticky on your hair once it’s dried but while applying, obviously it needs to be sticky to be manageable. It is VERY effective and makes your hair look very sleek. A little goes a VERY long way depending on what you’re using it for. I use it to take my hair at the front and tuck behind my ears since it likes to puff out. Te texture is very mysterious and intriguing to me. It’s like a combination of gel and coconut oil in one. It’s very unique and it feels like you’re applying something moisturizing while also applying something with super hold. So moisture and hold in one. I like the uniqueness. As far as ease of application, you have to work fast with it. Depending on your hair type, I suppose. My hair is very fine and straight/wavy. So if I wait too long to shape it or brush it into place; it will turn unable to be shaped. Lol It doesn’t necessarily leave your hair hard but it does hold well. I got the coconut and it smells amazing. It also has biotin which is good for you hair, skin, and nails. Recommended. Thank you for reading!

Edges laid & stay in place
I tried this edge control in the Coconut Oil variety. I actually really like the smell, and found that it works incredibly well! It was super easy to apply – my daughter’s edges are laid and not moving all day! It wasn’t crunchy or sticky either. It adds a hint of shine without any greasiness, and a little bit goes a long way. I love that this one kept her hair in place without any flaking at all! I’ve been trying several products from this brand and have been happy with almost all of them. The products are all affordable and work well, making them a great value. This one is a keeper!

Really strong hair gel with a full day hold, as long as you’re not sweating. It has a solid texture so it helps to take a small amount, rub with your fingers to soften it up, and apply directly where needed. A small amount goes a long way. It doesn’t flake, but it does leave a bit of a shine. It smells very much like coconut and holds quickly. It’s good quality at a decent price. It works best to apply it after taking a shower while your hair is still damp but not wet. It feels hydrating and isn’t sticky in your hair.
